The company response time was excellent. The technician (Miguel) was very pleasant, knew what he was doing and fixed the issue to my satisfaction. However the cost of the work - to snake a clogged residential sink drain was much too high at $650. plus NY sales tax. This was for the company to send one man for one hour of labor.

I don't get why this scamming company can get any more than 1 star review.

Roto-Rooter sent a different plumber than the one I requested over the phone. The plumber charged me $775 + tax for a simple shower faucet replacement, not including parts. I told him that this wasn't the price I had agreed to during the call--the quoted price was $575, which is already expensive for a 15-minute job. Instead of discussing it, the plumber became rude, repeatedly interrupted me, and accused me of being unwilling to pay. He even threatened to take off the already installed faucet unless I paid the higher price. I told him to go ahead and take it off; I'd find someone else. Frustrated, I called the office, and only then did he change the invoice to $575 before storming off!!!

Not only I paid the over priced job, I was also mentally abused by the plumber!!!

I strong advise consumers to avoid them, even in the case of an emergency find someone else. They are overpriced, their service is poor, they are unreliable,and I would say downright dishonest.

They were quite quick to come and do the job but not good value for money. They charged almost $800 for 20 minutes work to fix a slow draining kitchen sink. Having read other reviews of this branch seems many others feel same way.

I needed to replace my kitchen faucet so I reached out to roto rooter. For context I had already had the new faucet and just needed an installation. No parts, only labor.

They proceeded to tell me it was going to be $600 to do the job. No parts, only labor. This was a 15-20 minute job and they overcharged by about $450. I would not call them unless you are willing to pay a massive amount of money.

They also wouldn't tell me how much until the technician was in my house. Waste of time to call here.

I called Roto Rooter (Westchester County, NY) today because a pipe broke that was connected to a sum pump and needed to be replaced with a new one. The technician told me the repair would cost $1,200.00 without parts, just labor. I asked how many hours he needed and he told me 3. That would have been $400.00 per hour just for the labor. After I told him that I could not agree without asking another company for an estimate he suggested that ""among business people"" we could keep it confidential and he would repair it for $600.00.
My understanding was that Roto Rooter is a trustworthy company....- definitely not in this case.
I gave 1 star because a got an appointment within 1 hour when I called the Westchester office.

I called the toll-free number and scheduled an appointment. I called back to reconfirm the appointment. No one showed up. When I called again I was told no appointment had been scheduled and they wouldn't send anyone for weeks.
