Called them to schedule an appointment in the Albany, NY area WHERE I MOVED TO RECENTLY (I know where I live, Amy, and called the correct office; you are looking at my old address and assuming publicly that I still live there) and no one even called me back. I won't beg any company to work for me.

An Albany Roto-Rooter office, after I posted this negative review, has since called me back and is now due here momentarily for an estimate. I will follow this post up after the work is completed.

""Keith"" just finished reviewing things and gave me a reasonable estimate. I was very impressed with his knowledge and clear commitment to customer satisfaction. I will schedule Roto-Rooter to do my entire house and then supplement this post with my experience.

With respect to the negative comments posted by others against this office on pricing, I have to defend Roto-Rooter because, in fact, the charges are actually quite reasonable. I suspect that these customers who complained about pricing are ""out of the loop"" as to the costs of hiring plumbers today.

I just had a service call to my home and received outstanding service from Rob. I have an old house with old pipes so I am always nervous when I have to call the plumber. He came on time and was professional and knowledgeable. He did not try to diagnose issues that were not there and explained my plumbing problem accurately and swiftly. I am very happy with the service I received from him and will continue to rely on Roto Rooter for any future plumbing issues. The cost was fair and honestly lower than expected. Thanks Rob!

I called concerning a clogged pipe. I called and was greeted by Kyle, a friendly and helpful employee who was able to get a tech over to my house same day. Yay!!! Mike came in and gave me a few possibilities of what the issue could be. He drained several areas to determine where we had the problem. My worst nightmare was the main line to the street, but it it was inside where he removed the blockage and upgraded my caps as they were about a hundred years old. My cost was comparable to anyone else who would of taken the time to remedy the issue with same day service. thanks guys.

Our basement was flooded by sewer the first time, we fixed it ourselves when we cleaned out the U-Trap. One month later the basement flooded with the sewer again. This time I called Roto-Rooter. They came and had to snake the sewer line going out of the house. Claimed that it was almost to the city but just shy of it. My basement was then flooded with sewage after the guy snaked it. They charged $415 and said they don't clean the mess left behind and it would require a different company to come in to clean or we could do it ourselves. The guy would only give us a 30 day waranty, I was expecting at least 6 months and thought that they would clean up the mess.
They called me and offered a refund of some of the money for my bad experience as well as an extension of the waranty to 6 months.

Our new bought house was under renovation at the time when the sewage broke down! I was recommended by my contractor, but since he was not living in this area he probably Google out the information. Anyway, a young man came and checked, after about an hour's work, he got a flushable wet tissue out and said that was blocking the whole thing! Can you believe that? This was the only tissue I flushed since it was said flushable! Anyway, the service cost me $279.67! Definitely won't try again!

2/7/15 kitchen sink backed up, flooding floor on a Saturday. Called and Zak came on 2/7 and assessed problem. He was very professional and made arrangements to come back for a more permanent fix. #244. Dan B.

Zero stars. You should be lucky that it is mandatory to at least give you one star. I called roto rooter on 11/7/15 because my sump pump stopped working at 9pm and I was taking on water. I didn't know what to do and was bailing out the reservoir with a solo cup. The 24hr service told me there was nothing he could do since stores were closed but he would make me a priority schedule an appointment in the morning. Really?? I'm bailing out water with no end in sight and I have to schedule an appointment?? I have a 10 month old baby to take care of and desperately needed help. Well, the morning came and went, no phone call. Hell, it's been a week now and no phone call. Thanks but no thanks roto rooter. Someone else helped me. You could of at least owned up to it and said you didn't know how to help me. You will never get a call from me. You will never get a call from my family, friends, neighbors, and whoever else reads my social media and spreads the word.

Called in the morning around 10 am and someone was at my house around 4pm that day to fix the clog in my sink. He was very friendly knowledgeable and courtesy.

I had to resort to Roto Rooter because the other company I utilize did not have a working machine for my plumbing issue at this time... I have to say, Roto Rooter has a quick response to a call, but their costs are a bit high compared to what I would normally pay through the other company I use.

The day after spending mega-bucks to have our septic system dug up and repaired we still could not flush the toilet or do laundry. We suspected something or some poop was stuck and only one name came to mind, Roto-Rooter. Tom #200 came out stat to our house. Tom knew immediately what the problem was and dug a two foot hole, cleared the sludge in the pipe. Yippee it worked! Tom#200 was so nice and a professional. It is great to have someone who knows his stuff and takes pride in his job. My husband said, it was the best money he ever spent. Thank you, Tom and thank you Roto-Rooter.
