I wish i could give 0 stars. We called the 1800 number and they dispatched a local technician from the Bronx. After waiting for him to show up over 6 hours after he was supposed to show up here, he quoted us $527 to simply snake my drain!! We believed that was an absurd amount of money and we were right. We contacted a local company from the Bronx who was able to come within 1 hour and got the job done in minutes for $99! I would rather have my entire house flooded with our own feces and swim around my living room in it then ever call this farce of a company again. I hope this technician is struck with diarrhea and his toilet clogs and he has to wait 6+ hours to fix it and take out a loan from the bank to pay for it. Joke of a company, stay far away

Scheduled same day service = good. However, got a call that plumber would be at least 30 minutes after the 2 hour window, so I had to reschedule for next day = ok. However, had a snowstorm so had to reschedule a second time for the following morning at 10 am. Technician arrived on time and completed service in a timely manner. Fingers crossed, not leaking several hours later.

The service was prompt.The serviceman Nick was friendly.What started out as a big mess in my bathroom turned out to be a great experience with this company.The job was finished before i knew it. All companies should take a page from these guys as to how a business should be run.

Super friendly over the phone but that's about it. Having made an appointment for 8am-10am today, we waited for a plumber to show up for 6+ hours. I tried to follow up with Roto Rooter's dispatch team multiple times only to be told someone had tried to reach us. I was told ""we were called several times,"" but without a voicemail and no 'missed call' notification on my phone, or my husbands phone, that seems hard to believe. When a plumber did arrive at 3pm, we were told the work couldn't be done because it was ""too late in the day"" and ""I should have called sooner."" If you're looking for service from Roto Rooter, be prepared to waste a whole lot of your own time while making futile phone calls only to discover that your needs are still not met by end of day. Learn from my ordeal and go elsewhere.

My experience was absolutely horrible. The first plumber didn't want to keep our appointment but at my insistence, he arrived only to tell me he could not fix my leak. He claimed he wasn't licensed/qualified enough to handle the job. Mind you, I scheduled my appointment online explaining exactly what the problem was and they chose to send someone who could not fix it. What sense does that make? Needing my leak fixed, I played along and rescheduled for another plumber that would be qualified to help me. He came and gave me an estimate of $1600 to $2500. What? First, the estimate was three times as much as the estimate given by the first plumber. Second, the $900 range is absolutely ridiculous. And third, I only needed to replace a leaky water valve beneath my sink and knob in my shower--the estimate was way out of line.

Long story short, I went with another licensed and certified plumber who fixed the leaks for less than $300. I will never do business with Roto-Rooter again.

This is my first time using a Plumbing Service. Under my sink was leaking so I called this agency and I was scheduled an appointment for Wed. June 14, 2017 from a window period of 11am-3pm. The service guy Henry #2755 arrived around 2pm. He was very pleasant. He was very nice at answering all my questions about the parts that had to be used (I'm a female that doesn't know anything about plumbing so I had a lot of questions). Henry fixed the leak and I'm satisfied with the service and price. If a have any problems in the future I will call this Plumbing agency again.

""Angel was a gem. He patiently did one trial after another to get to the problem and after 3 hours finally was able to clear the plumbing of the nasty clogging. And then for another hour and half he made sure everything worked, put in a pipe part and finally went at almost 6pm on the Friday of Labor weekend, still polite and smiling after all that grungy work on a hot hot day. If there were more folk like him around, our world would be so much better.""

We have two bathrooms and one of the toilets never worked properly. The buildings handyman came several times and was never able to truly fix it so it would flush well. Finally, when it stopped flushing at all we tried snaking it and the auger got stuck. I called Roto Rooter around 8 PM. They answered the phone promptly and said someone would come as soon as possible. Within 90 minutes Lindon came and fixed the toilet. It involved removing the commode by which he unearthed what was blocking the line: a mop head(!) that a previous tenant had somehow flushed down. Lindon was polite and even cleaned up after he was finished. I would highly recommend Roto Rooter for plumbing issues.

Sharif showed up promptly and offered me clear communication about the issue (sewage line needed cleaning sewage gas in the home*gross*) Offered a clear estimate and explained how the work would be done. Experience was as pleasant as spending money to clean up a sewage line could be.
