Mlo C.Extremely satisfied ... toilet, shower and sink started backing up on Christmas Day! Was in desperate need of help ! called in the morning, a worker cane within the hour and snaked the main trap and all was good!
I showed him a yelp coupon and it was honored, very knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with especially on Christmas Day after a huge headache.
Thank you !!!
Luca A.Can I say bad enough of this company? They leverage in the fact that when you call them you're probably stressed out enough. Our basement flooded because of a sewer back up. Called them at 10:30am, by 3:30pm I meet with the manager for the draining and drying team: $4500 to do the job. I need to open the restaurant, so go for it. Be aware, you pay in advance! The crew shows up about 2 hours later (expected) and start to asses. Then they start to pump the water out, wait: the tank is full we need to discharge it. The plastic pipes they have don't stay attached. Now the main floor gets its little flooding, unnecessarily. After 1,5 hours we are still trying to get rid of the water. At that point I get into the water, I fix the sump pump and the water starts disappearing, fast. Still have to see how they clean and sanitize the place. For that much money I was expecting the most fast, and professional plumber you can find. Amateur, at best. Very disappointed. Just go to somebody else, they won't resolve your problem, and they'll definitely take your money.
I am so disappointed with Roto-Rooter. We had them come to our nonprofit space on October 26 to inspect our boiler. It was determined we needed a new boiler and we gave them a deposit of over 4k. They said it would take about 3 days to have it installed. It is now a month later and we still have no heat. I call every single day and every day they say another 2 or 3 days. When I call no one seems to care that my small nonprofit is facing major challenges as I've had to close as it's illegal for my staff to work with no heat. I'm so disappointed and wish I had chosen someone else for this nearly 9k job.
Debbie H.Aris the technician came on time and was very professional. He evaluated my kitchen drain problem and after 2 tries with snake machines he determined that the drain pipe blockage was not reachable due to the incorrect direction of the pipe behind the wall. He spent nearly 1.5 hours but did not charge me at all for the work. I gave him a tip for his time.
Unfortunately Roto-Rooter will charge you $500+ to clear a kitchen drain which is well above the national average for this work. And the price was not revealed to me before the technician came out. So thumbs up to Aris but thumbs down to Roto-Rooter
Roto-Rooter ""flat rate"" service of $600 (labor only) is excessive for replacement of an inoperable under kitchen sink garbage disposal unit. With zero experience and only a basic tool set, I replaced the unit myself in 55 minutes...including sanitizing an embarrassingly foul under-sink cabinet. OK OK, 55 min plus the time to buy a new disposal unit from Home Depot.
$300 labor would be more reasonable ($100 tech time + $150 company overhead + $50 warrantee reserve). For the record, the technician and the company customer service rep were polite, hence the ""two star"" rating.
Edward H.Very overpriced and dishonest. I complained to Jennifer in the office and she could not help. I
had a sewer backup and was desperate and paid them $573 to unclog. Subsequently I found out this price was double a reasonable fee. In addition, they kept calling to say they would replace the pipe for $3500 and we got other bids and wound up paying only $1400.
Ashley C.Service was exceptional! Glenford came immediately to resolve our plumbing issue, he took the time to fully explain the issue we were having as well as how to avoid it in the future.Very grateful for his professionalism and will definitely request him in the event we have an issue in the future!!
Very satisfied with the work performed by technicians Frank (#766) and Denhill. They cleared my lines and corrected work that was left behind by another company. Frank miraculously fished out a broken snake line left in my drain!
Yes, the services are pricey but I applaud them for solving a persistent problem after spending $$ on other companies with bad results.
I also paid Roto-Rooter another $350 to clear the main line during the visit. My drains are finally cleared.
Lucy S.I do not know whether the person who owns this business is planning to sell it or he just does not care about his business any more.
These are the reasons why they suck:
- I had to call them several times until I finally got a response.
- It took nearly 2 hours for the plumber to arrive (the rep said it would not take more than hour).
- The estimate the plumber gave me was way more expensive than the ones I got from other plumbing companies.
- The plumber Roto-Rooter sent to my house said that he was going to have to fix several things that did not need to be fixed. He did this to be able to charge me more for his time and services.
I ended up using another HONEST company and I am so happy I did so. These are the kings of poor, overrated and dishonest customer service.
Chris C.Elderly relatives had a clog in the main sewer drain. More rain was on the way so we called these guys to clear it to avoid further flooding. They showed up after a reasonable wait time, checked the issue and fixed it in a relatively short amount of time. It was not a complex operation but they did their job. However, since this was as they said after normal operating hours (they showed up at about 8 pm) they skinned them for $500. They pride themselves to work around the clock but apparently they charge different rates depending on the time of the day. As far as getting the job done they did well but their pricing seems a bit high.
