it's good service, however, my complaint is when I was told by the person on the phone that I wouldn't have been billed for the analysis, and only for the work since I'm a first-time time customer, I still had to pay $486 just for identifying the problem. The worker cut a whole in the cabin in the kitchen sink when I told the worker the problem was behind the bathroom tile, which is where he found the problem.
Stephanie L.We just had our kitchen renovated and needed a plumber to finish installing our sink and dishwasher. I had fully intended to do it myself being knowledgeable about plumbing enough to do this but after slicing my finger and needing stitches a few days before I was overwhelmed with the dishes piling up and in no state to take on my usual DIY.
Rotor rooter called within 3 minutes of putting in a service request and sent over a tech for a free estimate. The tech was there within 2 hours and had everything connected within 4. The quality of the work was really good but wow are they expensive compared to other plumbers. $1300 for all of the work. The one year guarantee is nice but in reading what it seems to cover- I'm not sure that its actually valuable.
Either way I was excited to have my dishwasher on and able to have functioning appliances and water during such a trying time.
the lady on the phone was incredibly rude saying that i was talking over her when i was trying to give her dumb useless brain directions to access the building. it's not my fault you can't hear when i'm speaking. you should probably go ahead and fire her considering she can't even be kind to new potential customers. i went ahead and hired a real and legitimate family owned local business instead. now seeing all their awful reviews i'm glad she was rude to me, did me a favor and went with a different business instead.
edit: the guy who came by also said the estimate for a simple dishwasher install would be 1500 plus parts and tax - that is more than the cost of the dishwasher itself. i of course had a second company come by and they estimated the cost at 350 less than 1/3 of 1500. it takes maybe 3 hours to install a dishwasher so he wants 500 an hour?! do you walk on water like Jesus? on what planet is 500 an hour a reasonable price for an installation for a kitchen appliance. then the guy lied and said that home depot wasn't able to install my dishwasher simply bc ""they didn't want to do the job."" when i called home depot they said it was bc of the code to shut off the water which they couldn't do for legal reasons - you need a permit for that and/or insurance. so the guy lied and is a moron. this company is a complete scam. disgusting!!! and pat please go screw yourself. I'm not emailing you SHIT. I can't believe you are giving me instructions like you are my boss. A JOKE.
P.S. The company I actually hired knows about this company and did not say great things either so clearly this company has a bad reputation.
Keston w. was very helpful and professional, would recommend roto rooter to anyone who likes to get the job done without any hassle:Thanks for a job well done.
Diane D.I would give them a zero star if that's an option. My bathtub clogged, I needed someone quick. Someone came by, unclogged the drain, charged me over $400 for a 20 minute job. But I was desperate so fine I had it done. The next day the pipe leaked, soaking through the ceiling down to my kitchen. It took them hours to send someone to me, the person came and said he's a junior, I have to wait till the next day for their senior tech to come out. Their senior tech came several hours late, no prior notification. Basically said they're not financially responsible for the leak even though it was caused by them. But to diagnose the leak they'll charge me $475, and depending on how bad the damage, they'll charge me more to actually repair it. I will never use them again. I honestly think they deliberately caused the damage while they unclogged the drain so they can come back and charge way more. Please avoid this company!
Their supervisor came to my house to check insure any mode. The plumber came and check with an honest answer. To me they are doing great very professional.
I put a request out to Yelp for a plumber to review my house. This company got back to me and offered me a free estimate for a technician to come out to the house and view the issues at no charge. The plumber turned up, as scheduled and on time, and then told me it was $450 for him to view my place but not fix anything. I told him I was surprised by this and he then brought it down to approx $250 for him to inspect but not fix anything... even though the company had committed to the appointment being exploratory only at no cost. This felt unethical, wrong and obviously difficult to address in the moment given the company saying it was free...then $450, then $250 which is what I was ultimately charged i.e.

First of all, the free estimates they advertise on here is total BS. I had a plumber come out to look at a pump issue in my apartment complex.
On the phone the receptionist made no mention of a service charge for a quote. Once the guys arrived, they let me know that there would be a service fee just for them showing up. Rather than assessing the job, and telling me how much it would cost they pressured me into signing right then and there to get the work done on the spot. (assuming they are trying to prevent people from shopping around and realizing how much more they are charging than others) Me being an idiot, signed the document thinking it would be like $100 or something, and then he hits me with a surprise $450 charge just for the inspection. Granted, that would go away if we hire them for the job, but now if I choose to go with a different plumber with a lower quote I'm out an extra 450. I had the plumber call his manager and the answer was essentially ""you learned a lesson today tough luck"" I realize I made a mistake here by signing and that they aren't legally doing anything wrong, but these guys are clearly out to take as much money from you as possible and WILL manipulate you to sign for things before you should and WILL obfuscate hidden charges until after you've signed
Darron A.I called them to clear a stoppage and I was charged over a $1000 to complete the job. Also I didn't know the amount that it was gonna be until after the job was completed. Smh what a rip off never again in my life. Please do not call this company!
Unbelievable extortion- $778 is their starting rate for a 10 minute drain snake! Local plumbers charge $350 tops.
