I would never use or recommend this company. That is, unless, you are trying to import FILTH!
After trying to reach the manager I was told on 2 different days he wasn't in. I left a message for him to call me back. Of course he never did. After realizing I had few options left, I decided to at least get some measure of satisfaction by writing a bad yelp review. Seems unnecessary as most of the complaints here are very similar to mine: Filthy work by incompetent people who just don't care.

It was a Sunday and that is why I called them. I should have waited until Monday for my normal plumber. To add insult to injury they never showed on Sunday but I did get a phone call to reschedule for the next day and would be given a discount for my troubles. You guessed it. No discount until I asked for it. And then only 10%. In conclusion, ishould this ever happen to you WAIT FOR MONDAY and use your usual reliable and licensed plumber.

I would NEVER use or recommend this company! First visit they couldn't get our kitchen sink pipes back together, charged us $180, and left with it unhooked. Unbelievable! So I had a professional plumber come to hook it back up and the drain was still clogged so since it was still under warranty, we had then come back and go from the basement this time. They completely demolished our basement. I mean walls, rug,everything covered in murky tar like soot! Called the manager and he was extremely unprofessional, rude, dismissive. Needless to say my next call was to my lawyer and to stop payment on my credit card. I've attached a picture of the mess they made! What kind of professionals don't have a bucket and /or a tarp?

DISGRACE AND SHAME UPON THIS SCAM OF A BUSINESS!! Do not waste your time and money on this business. I clarified with the dispatcher that it was an outdoor spigot that needed mending. They sent someone out who told me he was sent to fix a drain. He was at my house for 60 seconds. I wish I was exaggerating. I'm not. 60 seconds. He eyeballed it, turned it on, saw it was leaky, and said ""You need a plumber."" AND LEFT. It's laughable. By the way those 60 seconds cost me $180. DO NOT CALL THIS BUSINESS. They are not plumbers. They are not specialists and they do not know what it means to provide a service.

I was very unhappy with the service. The tech who came to my house was professional and courteous but he did not have the appropriate equipment to do the job. I was told I needed to bring in a plumber to fix the issue. Other plumbing companies that I have used did not have an issue. How can the company whose name says they clean drains not have the appropriate equipment. Tech gave up and left.

When I asked to speak to the manager to voice my complaint I was told I need to speak to the tech. Would not recommend using them for anything. T

DO NOT USE BERGENFIELD (PO box 97, Bergenfield New Jersey). NEW JERSEY ROTO-ROOTER. They cleaned out the pipes under the house and the sewage backed up again after only 6 days. I called and CHRIS answered. He did not care and he treated me like I was a piece of garbage. He wants $250 just to look at the problem that they took the money for this week. Unfortunately, we have to sue the company for our money back. Chris slammed the phone down on me. READ THE CONTRACT. It states that the homeowner is responsible even if they cause the damage. Stay away from this company.

This place is terrible. I had water in my basement from a recent storm. I needed a new sump pump. The woman that answered the phone was nice & helpful but the guy they sent was a joke.
He was annoyed that I asked him to come around to the side door as it leads right to the basement. Did the job in an hour & was completely obnoxious. I asked him what kind of guarantee they gave and he said zero. ZERO! So that way you can call them again & they can charge you more money. I found out the next day that he installed the new sump pump incorrectly and I was about to have another flood. The pump was floating in the pit and was so high it never went off.
Don't use this company. They will rip you off.

Called this morning to schedule an appointment and was met by the rudest most unprofessional woman I have ever dealt with
Got annoyed because I said omg after having to repeat the spelling of my name several times and basically told me to stop with the attitude with the omg or she would hang up on me this after demanding cash payment to apply a coupon .
Needless to say I just told her that I would not be doing business with them
They could care less about the customer and their needs. Stay away.

Awful service. They came to snake out my sewer pipe, and within 34 days the pipe was backed up and flooded my brand new basement. The supervisor showed no sympathy, and was extremely nasty on the phone. He said they would not come back because I only have a 30 day guarantee. (Offered me a 10% discount to come again).

I wish I had read all the negative reviews before calling them. Hopefully, others don't make the same mistake.

Stay far away from this place. They are crooks and they should be arrested for running a fraudulent company. Most companies like this would not charge for drains they cannot clear but this one happily charges for a guy to come to the house and gives up. It's a great scheme. They can sit around all day and charge you by the hour. They can stay for an hour and charge you $320. Yeah seriously $320. I called the office and the guy was afraid to talk to me so he had to call the plumber he sent out who basically said tough luck.

They are a franchise. So sorry to Roto Rooter corporate but because of this outfit I will never use Roto Rooter and I will advise everyone I know and barely know on any social network I can find to go with a competitor.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My husband and I are new home owners and trying to find people we can trust to help with emergencies. WRONG idea to thing this company would be trustworthy. We called them to snake a drain in our slop sink and left they a mess and were unable to resolve/fix the problem. They left without replacing the cap securely/tightly causing sewage water to back up into our family room. the ""owner"" told me to write a letter with my complaint. he never responded. charged my credit card without authorization and was nasty to me on the phone. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. he was event heartless as i explained my concerns with the mess they made on my newborns son respiratory system as he was premature. he did not even care that the mess they left behind may cause mold in the carpetting and release sewage gasses. the company we called after them not only fixed the original problem but repaired the valve that roto rooter had broken and did all without mess, they rolled out a carpet on our rug to make sure not to track dirt on the carpeting. the manager at ROTO ROOTER ""Jack"" said not my problem, comes with the terrirotyr of back ups, your account is frozen, i can't speak to you anymore about his don't call again. HOW OBNXIOUS. I am a manager in a hosptial and never would i treat people how they treat their customers. trust me do not use this company call a local person or find a referral from a friend.
