I just had 2 repair men come to my house and the shorter hefty one was VERY RUDE!!!! He told me he would not do the work for the price I was quoted and gave me a price $300 more. I told them they weren't getting that amount out of me and told them to leave. I won't be calling them again!!

Roto Router came out to access water damage to my home from a recent tropical storm. In the process of measuring the drain hose from the dehumidifier was moved out of the french drain in the unfinished basement. When we arrived home several hours later there was significant new water in the middle of the finished part of our basement. I called and the tech told me over and over he didn't touch anything. I called the local office and all fo the sudden my quote when from around to $3000 to $5500. When Timothy, the manager called he asked ""what do you want?"" and told me the quote ""is what it is."" All I got was on off-hand sorry and we can schedule you, if you want to go ahead with us.

The service they provided was fine until I got billed $485 for 20 minutes work on clearing a blocked drain It's hardly brain surgery, but they charge like it was. Disgusting. Will never use them again.

In response to this post, I was contacted by Customer Service the following day, and was then contacted by the Philadelphia Regional Manager and we agreed on a partial refund. So kudos to them for quickly reacting to and showing sensitivity to customer complaints

I had a clog in my sewer line last week Ben came out ,Nice guy . He snaked the line only a short way and said we got it ,I wanted to push the snake a couple more feet past it ,but no he was amendment about the clog is open. One week later 2 inches of sewer water in my basement ,I call back I get another joker to see the problem tells me he professional and I know nothing in his thick asian accent .He didnt want to give his name !He didnt want to take the power snake off the truck cause it was heavy and was in a hurry .. they get COMMISSION .He only used the long plunger and proceeded to slam it to the bottom of the trap as I yelled go easy on it. ...Hope he didnt break it that will cost me 4k to fix. Oh didnt want to give me his name !I now have my good friend who is a plumber tell me the problem and they werent worth the 450 but I just spent another 300 total is 750 and a smelly basement of excrement.Never ,NEVER use them not plumbers,get commission on all jobs ,rude . My technician was extremely rude and disrespectful! I have called the customer service office and have not received a return call. As a result of his rudeness, I sent the technician away without preforming the required maintenance.

There is no way it costs 600 dollars to attach a 4 inch pipe to 2 inch coupling for our washer drainage hose.

no explanation was given for the estimate, and no Itemization was provide when asked.

the only question from the plumber was, ""What did you expect this to cost""

the part from home depot is currently selling for 6.67, i expect this to cost less then 150 dollars as i understand as a tradesman your time is valuable. there is no reason to try and up charge me for something that should take 30-45 minutes of time.

if you dont have the part it will take you that amount of time to go to home depot to purchase it(the closest home depot is 15 minutes away).

the manager was suppose to call back by 1:30 and no phone call was received.

UPDATE:

after talking with the manager, they have explained they are unable to justify their estimate costs. everything is flat rate. asking questions about how they got to that number is met with apathetic concern about your questions.

if you like spending money on things and not knowing what they are, this is the place to do it. if you are like me i would avoid this place to fix your problem if there is any other option available.

I had a broken PVC pipe at the point of my sump pump's discharge. Not an easy fix as the pipe was partly imbedded in hydraulic cement. Quoted me $3000 as they said they needed to rent a jack hammer. Nonsense. Called a private plumber who fixed the cracked pipe in 30 minutes for $185. I'll never call Roto Rooter again.

I had two clogged bathroom sinks and one was worse than the other. The Roto-Rooter technician came out to take a look. He got under the sink and was very thorough in his evaluation.

Then we got to cost. He told me $450 for one drain and if I did both he would get me 20% off. So, $720 to clear two bathroom sinks? Then he started negotiating.

I asked him to leave. Then I called customer service and told them about my experience. I was supposed to get a call back from a manager with the hour....that was 24 hours ago and still no call.

Ripoff. Complete ripoff.

A man came out about 2 weeks ago as I was having issues with my sewer drain backing up. The man that came was making all sorts of noises in the basement and making sure to constantly say how bad it was and how backed up it was. He came upstairs after getting black muck all over my basement floor and stated the sewer had collapsed and would cost $5000 to replace. He asked if we flushed paper towels down the toilet and then asked us what ply toilet paper we use. He made sure to repeatedly state it would only last a couple days now and we should call him immediately. He charged me $400 after supposedly clearing the sewer for the time being. But he continued to tell me how the line was completely collapsed and had to be redone. (He also couldnt find our sewer line outside...right in front of our house.)

I called in another business for a second opinion. They used a camera to actually look at the line. They flushed my sewer, found it was flushed baby wipes from a previous owner. They cleared the clog, and only charged me $300.

What that man tried to do from your company was completely unethical and poor service. He also tried to push us into calling his personal cell phone to schedule the sewer replacement and said he wouldn't have to dig up the sidewalk. Not sure how you a magically replace a sewer line without getting the original out.

I contacted your company and your liaison between the branch and customers replied. He then included me in an email to the general manager and his staff stating I'd hear from them shortly. It's been 7 days and I've received no response. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They dont care about the customer of it doesnt affect their bottom line.
