The technician that came to my house was great.
Amber 1476 knew her stuff. She was fast and she cleaned up.
Thanks Amber.

I give them 1 star because they lied to me to get $7000.00 in business that isn't needed! I'm just glad I asked for a second opinion with K-Jett in Belton Mo, turns out NOTHING was wrong with my lines!
Saved me a lot of money!

If I could give less stars, I would. Our water pressure began to get worse and worse. Called our city utilityman to check and he said there was no leak, but we need to replace our PRV(Pressure Regulator Valve) He said it would be an easy fix and we could do it ourselves. It looked tricky so we called Roto Rooter for second opinion before we attempted to fix ourselves. They tried to charge us $650 to change PRV. Then went on to say we did in fact have a water pipe leak and said it could be between $5,000-$20,000! My husband talked to his dad and he told us how to check for leak ourselves(we are new homeowners) and there was no leak!! We think they loosened our water to look like we had a leak! Then my husband and his dad changed out the PRV for $85 in less than an hour! Boom, fixed! So, they lied to us, made us think we couldn't fix on our own bc we didn't have $3,000 tools, and tried to charge 6-7 times the cost of part to fix. Also, as we were talking I realized we had an AB May warranty and they said they wouldn't help us at all and tried to talk us out of going to them. VERY unhappy with the way they treated us.

Thank God for the very nice Plumbers and Technicians because whoever schedules them needs some improvement. 4 out of 5 times they did not arrive in the ""window"" of time I was told. That is my only complaint.

Jason Meyers #131 was great to work with. He was very knowledgeable, friendly. He seem genuinely interested in finding the source of our plumbing problem! Also, Chris Smith, #?, a Commercial Technician, who performed a camera pipe test, was great to work with.

We initially booked a plumber to come out between 3pm and 7pm yesterday. I left work early and cancelled plans for the afternoon to be home for this service. At 3:30pm, their ""water"" guy showed up at our home. We DID NOT report flooding, we DID NOT ask for a water guy. He said he would take some pictures of our shower head and build a report for the plumber. Then, he said that the plumber would be here by 7 pm. The water guy suggested that we may need to take down our bathroom walls and replace the tile. This was after just glancing at our bathroom, not even touching anything.

We waited until 7 for the plumber and nobody showed up. We finally called and they said that he was taking longer than expected and we rescheduled for the next day. So much for waiting, we still couldn't shower. The plumber finally showed up the next day at 6 pm. He had no clue about our problem because the water guy's report apparently did not show up in their system. The plumber went in our bathroom with his dirty boots and stepped all over our brand new rugs which I found to be disrespectful. He also wiped his hands all over our towels, and his hands were also very dirty. This is very unprofessional!

The plumber said that it would cost $250 for the first hour and he assured the problem would be fixed within that hour, we said okay. He started working on it and fixed the issue within the first 5 minutes. We thought that was not reasonable and asked for a better price. We argued about the price, and finally after about 40 mins (mostly because it was hard to get a hold of his manager), he lowered our price to $100.

A reputable business who values their clients would have done what he did (taking off shower head and showing me how dirty it was) as a complimentary service for making us wait 4 hours yesterday. Btw, he had no idea that the water guy came to make a report. We are unhappy with the service and ripped off.

Update: I complained and they agreed that the serviceman overcharged me for the work that was done. They said they will send me a partial refund.

I can't speak for their services because they couldn't even manage to get a technician out to my house.

I called a Thursday evening about getting an odd smell checked out in my cleanout drain in the basement. The dispatcher said they could get someone out the next day (Friday) between 4:00 and 6:00 PM. They called at 5 PM saying they were running late. They called again at 6 PM saying they were still running late. They called again at 8 PM and said that they were not going to send someone out that late ""only for a smell"" and ""nothing actually backing up.""

They said they would reschedule me the next day (Saturday) between 12 and 3 PM. I got a call at 1 PM saying that they would be there ""within the hour"". At 7:30 PM during dinner, I got a call saying they were running late and were sorry for my wait. I told them to cancel my order because they were supposed to be there 4 hours ago and never even called to update me.

The dispatcher apologized and offered me a discount if I rescheduled the next day.

So, silly as I was, said ok and rescheduled for the next day (Sunday).

The dispatcher said because I was put off twice already, she would make me ""a priority case"" and I would be the first stop on the list. I told them they had to come before 12:00 PM, or I was done. The lady said she would have an appointment between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM and someone would absolutely be there.

Here we are at 5:15 PM and I just got a call saying that they were running late and someone wouldn't be here until TEN O'CLOCK TONIGHT.

I finally cancelled, but I can't get those many hours back that I made sure I was home for them to not show up.

It's a shame I can't rate them lower.

Seems as if the camera roto rooter lost in my drain 5 years ago and supposedly removed magically resurfaced today . Roto rooters camera caused a blockage that flooded my basement . Had to call a competent company to come snake the drain , and lo and behold , the missing camera ! Thanks roto rooter , we paid you to screw up our house , now it cost me twice ! Guess this is what you get when you call the McDonald of the plumbing world ..... Local family owned companies from here on out for us ...

Update : after speaking with the corporate office I did get Roto rooter to refund the original service price, plus what it cost me to have the camera removed from the drain. Although I did not receive compensation for the damaged items in my basement I feel that they did make an acceptable Olive branch to reach out with.

I am so disappointed with Roto Rooter, they have always been the drain service I have used in the past. But today I needed my basement drain snaked and the service man came out and informed me that unless I removed the built in shelves above where the main drain is snaked, he couldn't do any work. Seems as though now they need 6 feet all around in order for them to work. There is 3 feet or so above and 4 or more around the area. So I just wasted my time waiting for him to come only to tell me that he could not do the work. He just stood there when I told him I wasn't removing the built ins and he said I could hire someone to tear it down and he would come back. I told him Roto Rooter had just lost a customer as they should have informed me of their new rules so I could find someone else. Good bye Roto Rooter. You do not care about the customers time and distress!!

I cannot review their work because I cancelled my appointment with them, this review is simply about their scheduling.
I called them yesterday to unclog a kitchen sink. They scheduled an appointment window of 6-10 PM. They then called me just after 5pm which is BEFORE I left the office (which is why I asked for the 6-10 PM window) saying they had someone ready then and could he come early. I said I wouldn't get home until 6pm. So they sent that technician out on another call. At about 9:30 PM they called me and told me their technician couldn't make it. I had to reschedule for tonight.
The dispatcher said he had a 5-9pm window he could give me so I took that. I took off work EARLY to make this window and was home by 4:30 PM waiting. Just to be extra cautious, I called around 5:30 PM to verify I was still on the schedule for tonight. I was informed that they tried to call me at 5:01 PM but there was no answer. Which is very odd since I had no calls on my phone which had been on my person the entire time and no voicemail from them.
I said...no, I'm waiting here for you. So they told me they will tell my technician to just come to my house when ready and that I didn't need a call. At 8:50, I decided to call them again and find out that it will be at least an hour and a half before a technician can get to me.
It's been an extremely busy week and I've wasted two whole evenings waiting for them. Sorry RotoRooter, you didn't make a new customer out of me this week.
