Roto-Rooter prevented us from having serious problems with roots in our lateral sewer line. Three years ago they diagnosed the problem of roots and used the treatment Root-X. We had them back because neighbors were having serious problems with roots. We were gratified to find out, after they ran a camera through the sewer line, that we did not have root problems. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. They will continue to use Root-X every three years to prevent return of the tree roots. Having to replace a sewer line is very costly. We don't have that expense thanks to Roto-Rooter.

When I discovered our backed up basement drain, I was fearful that I'd have to wait until Monday to get something done. Because every business just has an answering machine.

I was surprised when I had a live person, Stephanie, who answered the phone, asked excellent questions and helped line up Greg to come out and work on a Saturday afternoon.

We had agreed on a 1-3 time frame for his arrival, and he was at my door by 1:30. He did the job with care, professionalism and had good suggestions on what to do.

I really appreciate the people at Roto Rooter.

Main line clogged. Jason was on the job almost immediately after I called- a major plus! He was very friendly and courteous. Roto-Rooter did not charge a service call fee just to show up, whether I had them do the work or not, as another local company does (and it was for that reason I did not go with that company). My only complaint was the price was more than double what I have paid in the past. I have been in this house for over 30 years and having the main line cleared of tree roots is a yearly thing. Its ALWAYS tree roots. But a camera had to be run down the line and that, I am sure, contributed to the cost. Always Tree Roots. I would like to have the option to skip the camera.

Roto-Rooter was called to my home to clean out my sewer line. I had the job done 8 years ago for $165. They quoted me $285. I was charged $554 for the job. The tech took a long time and could not get the snake into the line well. I learned to call any one but Roto-Rooter for this job.

Came when scheduled and on line scheduling worked good. The got the rusted drain cover off and drain unplugged. I was a bit disappointed that the work ended there but it probably saved me money. I had to run to the hardware store to get a replacement cover and got a plastic one and carved it to accommodate the softener drain and the stump partially drilled out screw that was drilled to remove the rusted cover. The guys were nice one competent one trainee. I hope I didn't get billed by the hour fro two people :-) But overall decent job in and done in well under an hour. They were very attentive not to track thru the house and careful hauling equipment in and out.

We needed Roto Rooter to come late in the day as we had a drain in the basement that was plugged and the water was backing up into the basement. We called a local plumber. Upon examining the drain, he stated that we would need Roto Rooter as he did not have large enough equipment to handle the situation. Roto Rooter said they would try to send someone later in the day. They kept their word and Greg came to fix the problem. He was very efficient and explained the problem very well. He was extremely pleasant to work with. He fixed the problem quickly. We were very pleased with him and with Roto Rooter's service. Will definitely call them again if needed and I highly recommend them. Labor is costly but what isn't these days?

I had a recent main backup that required snaking out to the sewer. I have had this identical procedure done twice in the last 6 years. I called Roto Rooter because I thought that's who I had used in the past. I quickly realized that in fact it was Mr. Rooter that had done work for me in the past when my invoice was 150% what had paid in the past. While the work was satisfactory, timely and the plumber was courteous and friendly, the 2 stars is a result of the price gouging on a service that is not rocket science nor requires any materials. I will not be adding them to speed dial.
