Charge was more than quoted even though they go by Roto-Rooter they are a company DBA. He finally got my plumbing fixed, but stated there was no guarantee and did not give me any paperwork before starting and when he did it said they were not responsible for any damage and if their equipment should get stuck, it was my responsibility for the cost of removal and any damages. It would have been better to know this before hand, so I could have decided if it was the correct choice for me. I still would have had to pay a fee for them just showing up even if I decided not to use them.

If it had no stars this is what they deserve! RIP OFF!! Quoted me one thing & ran my card for over $1000!! 15 min fix to apply a female fitting onto a pipe! I was told one fee and after the 15 min job I was charged over $1000 Unauthorized!!

I disputed the charge & bc I signed a waiver they took what they wanted! Due a ladder being needed I was charged $800??
DO NOT TRUST THEM! I ended up with a $500 bill and my $ taken in the end- the part is $2 at Lowe's btw! You do the math! They have ppl on Facebook recruiting ppl that need handy men so the add said then I was transferred to Roto Rooter

Overcharged, RIP-OFF, Theft
I don't recommend Roto-Rotter Plumming, in fact I warn you to stay away from them.
I had a leaking pipe in my house basement which was easily accessible. After a half done inspection, they informed me that I had to replace the main shut off water valve and the water pressure reducing valve.
They charged me $2,500.00 for less than 5ft x 3/4"" PEX pipe/tubing , 3/4"" main water shut off valve , 3/4"" water pressure reducing valve and a minimal amount of hand digging through soft mud. This job was done in 2 hours. Again, $2,500 for this fix. Absolute theft and an embarrassment to plumbing work.
After repeated requests, to their reluctance, I received a long invoice which utilized big words, which were both unnecessary and misleading terms. I feel robbed by this company and hope that many others see this review and are able to save themselves from a similar situation to what happened to me.

VERY EXPENSIVE, MISLEADING AND DECEPTIVE PRACTICES
An associate came out and put a $5 part on my sink. It only took 23 minutes in total to complete the simple repair and they charged me nearly $300. I asked the associate what there hourly rate was and that person explained that they charge flat fees for repairs regardless of the amount of time it takes. This was not disclosed to me when I asked the booking associate to provide a summary of there fees at the time when the appointment was set. The associate who made the repair also disclosed that they receive a commission and the more they mark up the charge the more they receive. The associates are essentially incentivized to overcharge their customers which I believe to be an unfair and deceptive practice. The bill is very vague and does not provide a breakdown of costs. I will never use Roto Rooter again.

Overpriced, lousy detailed work, leaves mess, no detailed yard clean up. Not part of corporate. Independent vendor. Will take advantage of your business.

They are Very kind, professional, and knowledgeable about plumbing issues and they always have great technicians and plumbers that will come out, fix the problem, and thoroughly explain everything that needs to be and have been done!! Josh is one of my favorite plumbers!! I highly recommend Roto Rooter!!

We live in a duplex in which the other side had a leak so the landlord called Roto-rooter, the crew came out fixed their leak and dried everything out and discovered that we too had a leak. The leak was fixed on our side which then was discovered there was a lot of damage. Matt and Carlos did and awesome job and keeping us informed on every step of the way. Both were very professional and friendly. Now we are just waiting on the rebuild team to finish but Matt and Carlos went above and beyond to help us through a stressful experience. If you need some water restoration, request these 2 they are the BEST! Thanks guys for all you have done for us!

I had what appeared to be a blockage in my main drain line. Roto rooter snaked the pipes and diagnosed the issue as a blockage caused by a cracked pipe due to tree roots, which voided coverage by my home warranty company. That cost $500. The tech quoted me a price of $2,000 to actually dig up the line and repair it. I had another company come out less than a week later and they found that it wasn't a tree root but an issue due to the sidewalk settling that had actually snapped the line. This other company snaked the line, diagnosed the problem correctly, and dug our and repaired the line for less than $400. Roto rooter's prices are outrageous and the work did not solve my problem. Never again.

After my daughter's homeowner's check came in, suddenly the bill appeared from Roto-Rooter for the exact same amount. They didn't finish the job either. They tore out a wall, a kitchen cabinet, and the kitchen floor tiles, brought in some fans to dry out the place from a leak in a pipe...all to the tune of $10,000.00! They replaced nothing! How can that amount of work, requiring no specific skills and no materials, cost $10,000.00?! They had all the information about my daughter's homeowner's insurance, so they had access to the amount it would pay. Can you say insurance fraud?!!! We will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.

This is the best company and the employees are great! I will never use anyone else. Jason with water restoration and Chan have been life savers!
