The workers cleared the stoppage in my drain system, but told me that if I hired their worker to come in and remove the root from my drain pipe that it would increase the value of my home. That makes no sense. That was an insult to my intelligence.
Terrible customer service. I called 24 hours prior. They gave me a window for 8-12 the next day. They told me on 2 occasions that the service guy was on the way. They make appointments when their service guys already booked on jobs and waste your whole day waiting on them. Then they offer no apology and try to reschedule you for the next day. I will never contact them again.
At best incompetent, at worst dishonest. This is a saga but if you need help with leak detection, you should read this before calling roto rooter.
We were notified that we had high water usage by the town. We called roto rooter on a Monday afternoon for leak detection. They said they would call back in an hour. They did not. We called them, they asked us to wait a bit longer. Sure, no problem. Finally they call at 7 PM and say they couldn't fit us in and schedule us for the next day, 3-7 PM. We are unhappy but understand the world is understaffed and look forward to some answers the next day.
The next day I get a call from the technician letting us know that he would be there from 6-7. Great! Then we get a call at 6:30 letting us know he is 45 minutes out according to GPS. Not ideal, but still fine. Unfortunately, Courtland must have gotten lost for 45 more minutes despite his GPS and doesn't show up until 8 PM. We had already called dispatch to cancel because we needed to put our kids to bed, but that message did not get to him.
He's here though, so we let him do the job. He says there is water in the crawl space, recommends digging up the line in the front yard and quotes us $4200. Yikes!
Because the vibes were off, I called for a second opinion Wednesday morning. They show up as scheduled on the same day. To my surprise, the technician tells me there is no water under the house. He explains to me how to read the meter and shows me that the meter says 0 gallons of water are being used per minute, indicating no leak. However, the usage goes up periodically, indicating a running toilet. We discover the toilet upstairs needs to be replaced. The repair (including the new toilet) is 1/6 of the cost we were quoted by roto rooter.
Now here is the kicker. Courtland's card indicates he is the Excavation Sales Supervisor. I'm pretty certain he was trying to upsell us to have the yard excavated, hoping we would never look under the house to verify his claims. So, not only was he incredibly late and inconsiderate of our time but he was also either incredibly incompetent and didn't even check the meter or he just straight up lied. Either way I will never trust Roto Rooter with my business again since this is the kind of person they employ and apparently promote to supervisory roles.
Christa C.We've had them come out twice now. Both times we paid less than I anticipated and the job was done same day, quickly and efficiently. But the most important part to me has honestly been that BOTH plumbers who came out were extremely kind, respectful, and professional. They also both took the time to explain what they did and ran the cost by me before taking any action. Two great experiences for sure.
Walter M.Called them due to sewage coming up from toilet. I was given different time slots and selected the next 2 hour slot which was then. After two hours I called and was told it would be another hour. Three hours in they called and said it would be another hour. Four hours in called and told another hour. After six hours in they called and said they had someone clearing soon and was around an hour away. I complained about it turning into a 7 hour response from a two hour. The employee began counting out loud each hour from the original call because they didn't think it had been that long. I canceled and was transferred to a supervisor. A Brandon answered and started by saying,""so you want to cancel"". I explained the situation and Brandon didn't apologize for what had happened. Just repeated the question. Absolutely terrible service. I called Wake Sewer and Drains and they did a fantastic job. Very responsive and did a great job. Highly recommend.
Never do business with them,,, worst experience ever they bought 2 faucets for me that cost no more than $80 and charge me $350 for each plus installation $425 end up paying $1700 to replace 2 faucets, that job won't cost more than $550 with any other plumbing, their technician kept my old expensive faucet with him without my permission wich consider stealing, when complained to supervisor, manager, owner called John Evans he apologizes and promised me for credit, on the installation day he totally changed his mind, it was just lying after lying and wasting of my time.
Our toilet and plumbing pumped sewage into our home one evening. We called at 5:00 the next morning and had an appointment window the next day. The office called us throughout the day to update when our technician would be here. When Aaron arrived he was professional, knowledgeable, and took great care in working in our 100 year old home. He was friendly and respectful as he answered so many questions. He worked for hours, until he had to call other technicians to assist because of the large scope of the problem. They too we're helpful and respectful. In minutes we had a camera image of the clog and free flowing pipes. Aaron is a true asset to the Company. The teamwork of this crew was notable.
This was such a relief after reading so many unfavorable reviews.
The entire team from the main office to each technician gave us such a positive experience with this company.
We sought help with a water issue , the company came out and set up their equipment and basically dried the space out in 4 days, we asked them to remove the equipment but they delayed in responding and charged us for several more days. The onsite tech verbally said they would not charge us for the delay but once it got to the store manager the bill was invoiced for all of the time. The store manager was belligerent in handling the bill invoice and pressured us to pay. Very disappointed and surprise a nationally know business brand would allow this type of rip off to a customer.
This company is extremely corrupt. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. They completely overcharge, try to trick you out of money and do nothing. I have the first plumber come who wreaked of cigarettes, didn't wear a mask and made a huge mess in my bathroom just to look at my toilet and sit in his car for over an hour doing ""paperwork"" and I was charged $300!!! He said he would come back to fix the actual problem and never did. Then we called another plumber through roto-rooter he was so rude to me raising his voice to my roommate and i and bossing us around to complete tasks for him. He tried to remove my toilet and said it would be $1000+ dollars. I told him to leave. I literally created an at home drain de-clogging solution and fixed the issue myself the next day. Worst service ever, swindlers and mean.
I set an appointment at 4 o'clock and they have me a window from 7-9 by the time someone could be there. no heads up they might be running late. called at 9:10 and they said someone should be there shortly....had to call again at 1030 and straight-up cancel. not to mention you could hardly understand anyone on the phone. altogether extremely unprofessional
