Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

This company is great for plumbing needs- had a backed up drain on a hardwood floor. They fixed the backup problem. But, do not use for clean up- I was not told on the front end that they would not tear out the whole floor. Also, they moved the furniture out and now I am stuck with moving it back- floor installation people will not moved back what they didn't move. So now I have to find people to move furniture. I would have used them for plumbing fix, but not clean up. I was left with a mess for weeks.

They will not honor their warranty

Our guest bathroom tub wouldn't drain. We call Rooto- Rooter on a Sunday in February 2021 and paid 5 hundred & something for them to fix the problem, but he didn't fix it & recommended that we should call them back and get the camera ran down the drain so they could see the problem and fix it. Ofcourse, we did and that cost 2000.00 plus 500.00 we previous paid put us at 2500, but it needed to be done ( it is what it is). He fixed it and gave us a 1 year warranty (should end 2022/ Feb).

We called them back 2 ( April 2021)months later with drainage problem same barhroom, expecting to utilize this warranty. Supervisor Maggie Cooley, in Memphis tell us the warranty dosen't cover that, and we need to pay 189.00 instead of 289.00 but that's the same thing we call for intially in February 2021.

Therefore, guys & gals dont trust their warranty, its not real..There not honest, please consider someone else before paying 2,500 & not having a warrany & still having to pay more money with another plumbing service for the same problem.

Would not suggest this company to ANYONE in need of help/services for water or plumbing issues. Called about a hot water heater not working and was told a technician would be out in 30-45 minutes. 2 hours & 3 phone calls later, the technician arrives. My fiancé shows him the water heater, he literally looks at it and says, ""It may be the heating element, ( we obviously already knew that, otherwise we wouldn't have called for help) but if he completes a diagnostic it will cost $300 and to replace the element it would be $350. We declined the services because Home Depot offers brand new hot water heaters for $360 with same day delivery as well as assisting with a third party company to install for you,of course with additional fees. I called the office back and informed the receptionist that I was not made aware that all the technician was gonna do was stare at the hot water tank and to actually help us it would cost $300. The receptionist goes yeah that's pretty much how
It works, but the technician said they had to send him out because the receptionist didn't know how to give us pricing. At this point I'm confused and irritated because of poor communication, waste of time and effort, and unprofessional people. You can take your chances, but me and my fiancé both got the ""this is a rip off vibe immediately""!

After my experience with Mr. Rooter, I feel like I need to leave a review for Roto-Rooter. I called Roto-Rooter this morning at around 9:45 am this morning. I was pleasantly greeted, and my information was gathered. I've been dealing with a bathtub that was super slow to drain. I was told that a technician could be at my house in an hour.

Josh, the Roto-Rooter tech, was at my house in less than an hour. He was amiable, listened to what I had the day, and took care of the problem. Did I love having to pay to have a drain snaked out? No. What Josh awesome and do a great job? Yes. Toto-Rooter left me the experience that I was expecting from their inferior competitor.

They were great, and I would definitely use again.

Rotor Rooter is the Neiman Marcus of plumbing, unless your insurance is paying for it you are much better off financially going with another company.
Had a clogged line from the house to the street approx 40' they wanted 300 dollars to snake it,
I told them i would find someone else that was more reasonable, called Choates plumbing, they came out the same day and did the same job for 100 dollars.

We went to two other places for help, after no success on our own, but got the run-around. Roto-Rooter offered a free estimate, which gave us anxiety because too-good-to-be-true. A gentleman came by within two hours of calling for help, gave us the cost after his estimate, then got right to work after we gave the go ahead. I feel like most places will find something else that is wrong and add things to the cost of fixing, but it didn't seem like he did. The job is done and we have hot water again, even though our heater is ancient and crappy. Thank you Roto-Rooter. Five stars well earned; will come back.

We experienced a total backup of the main sewer line (as in gray water filling both downstairs jacuzzi and tub, and all toilets unflushable) at 8:00 pm and I made the call and had a technician out in an hour. Josh promptly made an assessment and cleaned out the main line to the street and had everything moving within minutes. He also checked the line to the house and made sure it was clear. Josh also offered some suggestions to maintaining clear lines. He was professional, polite, and even cleaned out the jacuzzi when the water had drained, before I could stop him - I didn't expect him to do that.

1st crew's cable wasn't long enough-Nice Guys though.
Next crew's cable got stuck-Charges increased ,of course-Nice guys again- 4 on the scene now
Cable got stuck. They have to come back out today. Charges will increase again. I hope not enormously! Prompt service- Water jet didn't work on attempt #3. The camera is attempting a go at it now.
I trust this company. They will eventually get me ""draining""again.
