UPDATE!!!!
I was within my 6 month guarantee by a few days. I have been using the EXPENSIVE Roto-Rooter drain cleaner as recommended when I had my service done. My kitchen drain started acting up this Monday so I did an extra treatment. No luck. The clog/slow drainage starts in the evenings after we prepare dinner and have to put the dishes in the dishwasher. When the guy came out today it would not repeat and we were told we would have to pay $267 for them to do the service.
False advertisement. Very disappointed in Roto-Rooter. I rather pay another company double before I would contact you again.

I called Roto-Rooter after my attempt to schedule service with another locally owned plumber failed miserably. I should have called them in the first place! Dwight (#1485) and his partner showed up right on time. They were polite and courteous and fixed my problems in a short period of time. I ended up needing a new spout in my bathtub - they even went to Lowes and picked one up for me! I love Roto-Rooter because they allow you to schedule a window of time - (and actually show up when they are supposed to!) instead of making you wait around for an indefinite period of time. The plumbers and the people on the phone are always courteous. The work is always satisfactory. The only reason I don't give five stars is because they are
more expensive than the competition. But, lets face it - you get what you pay for! I will happily pay more every time for such pleasant, dependable service.

Devin was prompt, pleasant and professional, fixed the pipes under the sink quickly and efficiently, and even tried to save me money! I will call this company the next time I need a plumber!

The technician Nick was pleasant, timely, and professional. I was able to schedule an appointment window that was convenient for me.

Nick (#2695) is a wonderful employee. He was prompt and courteous on both days that he came to the house. He fixed the problem on the first day he was there. However, I decided to have him put it in a garbage disposal. He completed that job today. I would recommend this company to anyone.

We've had a badly clogged drain for a while. George (tech #2170) was a godsend and got the job done quickly and very well. He was also friendly and lovely to have in our home! When I call RR again for any job in the future I'll definitely be requesting him. Thank you!

Everyone knows that when you have a leak or plumbing issue, it is a very stressful ordeal. Particularly, when the issue is being experienced by someone other than yourself and you are responsible for fixing it.
Recently, I called RR to fix a water pressure issue and a leak in a rental property. A repairer came out the following day, but I seriously wish he hadn't. He was socially challenged and it created a bit of a rub at the outset. He knew it was a rental property and for some reason he decided to treat the tenants as second class citizens. He never spoke to them, informed them of anything and left without saying anything to them. I had to pry general info out of him and found his pricing suspect given my past experience with this company. Once the tenants noticed he was gone, they also learned nothing was fixed and there were two leaks when there was only one before. Never mind that I was already charged for work that had not been performed or was poorly performed.
The review is 3 stars because despite this piss poor experience, the general manager Mike McCloskey sent a new person out. He informed me that Greg was off but I know he was in fact working. Guess that's a nice way of saying I'm going to improve your experience. And Mr. McCloskey did. The new tech (Devin) was a godsend. He fixed it all and communicated with the tenants. And for that I am thankful.
Also, Mr. McCloskey took an additional $50 off the total bill. I would say it was great except that it is the same discount given if you check in on Yelp when the service is done. But it was a nice gesture on his part though it was appropriate under the circumstances. Despite my scar tissue, I am satisfied with the end result. And the tenants are too.

My service technician was Amos and he was extremely efficient and professional. He arrived at the scheduled time, walked me through my options and didn't make me feel like an idiot lol. I'll definitely request him in the future

Thank you to Devin Jones for coming out right when we called! he was nice, efficent and very professional. - maritech commercial

Called around 11am because my hot water heater stopped working and I tried to troubleshoot, but was unable to re-light the pilot light. They had Mr. Amos out to my house within the hour! They also called to give me a heads that he was on his way, so I really appreciated the communication and efficiency!
I thought I was going to have to buy a new water heater, but he gave me the options of relighting the pilot and seeing how much life I could get out of an already 10yr old water heater, servicing it and cleaning it out to see if there was dust/dog hair causing the light to go out, or replacing it. The price for replacing it seemed a bit higher than what I anticipated (quoted $1150), but it seems like there is some mark up Rotorooter adds for going to purchase and deliver a water heater, which seems reasonable. The price was a bit high for someone coming out just to relight a pilot (almost $100), but they have to make their money too, I guess. Mr. Amos was professional, friendly and efficient, and overall lovely to work with!
I'm doing a bit of research into costs for installation if I buy it separately, but I would not hesitate to work with Mr. Amos again!
