If I could give zero stars, I would. I called at 5:00 pm, was told a technician would be in touch within two hours. At 6:00 pm, someone called to let me know I'm the next one in the queue and they'd be there within the hour. 7:30 pm, I call back - someone says they'll be there within the hour; I told her they said that an hour ago. She calls the dispatcher. He ""ran into an issue."" He won't be there until closer to 10:30 pm. THEN 12:30 AM ROLLS AROUND. Still no service, no updates. I call back. He's ""still on that job."" There's no fucking way he's been on the same job for 6 and 1/2 hours. It's bullshit. She says he's on his way now (12:52 AM). We'll see... TL;DR, fuck Roto-rooter. They just lie to you and make you wait around for nothing. Such a joke.

Nick showed up promptly, was clean, courteous, and got the job done quickly and efficiently. He was also able to clearly explain the particular problem we were having with our bathroom drainage and what sort of maintenance we could engage in to prevent this problem recurring. Had had a problem with an earlier technician, but Nick restored our faith. Thanks!

Guess what... We got Nick to come back out and clear the main drain line. and as I stated before he did a great job once again. Had a back up sewage problem we were unable to unclog ourselves. Root-rooter showed up and solved the problem and then showed me the cleared line on a camera. Jeff was courteous and knowledgeable.

Our issue started on a Sunday night at 10:30, of course! I went on their website which was very user friendly. I was able to make an appt for the very next morning. The technician called when he was on the way, which was nice. He was friendly, knowledgeable and done in no time at all. I was pleased with the entire experience. I would highly recommend roto-rooter, and most definitely use them again.

Update on below remarks: The local manager reached out and apologized. He offered to send a third plumber to have a look at my convenience. He assured me that I would not be charged for labor costs only for parts if necessary. I politely declined as I was already asked to pay for a part that was not necessary to fix the root cause and I do not want to incur further costs. I asked for a full reimbursement to which he agreed to but said it may take a couple of weeks. I did receive a reimbursement after all. I appreciate that they honored the guarantee.

I contacted Roto Rooter with a problem with my shower water not staying warm. Based on past reviews posted on yelp , I decided to give Roto Rooter a call. I waited a half day for the plumber and once he arrived he could not figure out the problem. He spent nearly two hours adjusting the hot/cold water cartridge lever and explained I MIGHT need a new one. He left to go pick up the piece and replaced it and asked me to sign the $300 invoice for parts and services. The next Day I woke to shower and realized I still had a problem with hot/cold water and now I had even less water pressure than before the replacement. I immediately called the co back and they sent out another plumber. Again I waited all day. When he arrived he felt the water and verified that the replacement his co worker had installed had not fixed the issue. He apologized and said he could not figure out what was causing the water to turn cold while on hot. Frustrated I asked him how I could be reimbursed for te $302.96 that I spent on a service that didn't fix the problem. He said to contact the manager. I feel robbed of my money at this point. I might add that I checked what a single cartridge replacement costs at Home Depot and it's less than $40 so why I still can't explain the $300 service fee for a service that was not completed. I still have the same problem I started with and now I will have to work additional hours to save the money to pay another plumber. My $300 down the drain.
