On Sunday, March 8, I placed a service call. All the drains in my home were blocked. Mr. Jacob answered the call within a few hours. He was very personable and did an efficient job, but I found the company a bit pricey

They needed a four hour window to schedule, and 45 minutes from the end of that window I had to call them to ask for a status. They then told me it would be another 2 to 2 and a half hours before someone could come. The real problem is they didn't call me. How long would I sit, growing angrier, before some guy shows up hours late for an appointment he had a four hour window to hit in? Ridiculous, never again. Plus, the next place I called gave me a solid quote over the phone for what I needed done.

UPDATE: A couple of days ago (2/16), I posted a negative review of Roto Rooter in New Orleans based on price. Within a day (on Mardi Gras!) I received a telephone call from the district manager of Roto Rooter called to explain the reasons why they don't quote prices over the phone (to avoid problems if the problem turns out to be different from what the homeowner thought), why their prices are higher than independent contractors (a 6-month warranty vs. 1-month) and to try to make us satisfied regarding the price. He cut the price almost in half, which we considered most fair.

Based on their customer service, plus the fact that we could get someone to come out and fix the problem during Carnival (we live on the parade route), along with the 6-month warranty, I think 5 stars are deserved.

Our kitchen sink was severely clogged and disposal wasn't doing its job. Called Roto-Rooter at 8am, plumber was here by 10am, on a Saturday morning, snaked the drain multiple times until he was sure all the years of clog were removed, cleaned up after himself and the bill was no more than it would have been for a random during the week service call. My husband and I are very pleased with their work and prompt service!

I called Roto Rooter requesting that they send someone the same day and they did! Another plumbing service cancelled on me the day of and I was calling around to find a replacement. Thankfully, the lady who answered the phone was so nice and helpful. She sent someone out and he showed up early in the appointment window. He was very professional and completed the job very quickly. He cleaned up after himself and made recommendations for future service. I will definitely be using Roto Rooter in the future for all of my plumbing needs.

I called Roto-Rooter in the morning and Dureil showed up on time and fixed the problem in no time. He was extremely thorough and explained everything to us so we understood the problem. I have used them several times and I always feel like I am in good hands and the problem is fixed.

They dont even deserve one star! We had a clog in our brand new home we had only been in for a week. They came out and could not find the clean out pipe where the clog was so they went on the roof to go from that pipe, that didnt work so they came in the house with a big machine dripping fecal water all over my new white floors, pulled up my working toilet to unclog the drain,After four hours ,they finally got the clog removed, but the next day the toilet wich had no problems before is now leaking. They gave me an appointment fo 1:00-3:00, they showed up at 4:15, for the technician to tell me that he didnt know how to fix it, so the next day they scheduled a third appointment to come fix the toilet they broke and wanted to charge an additional $350.00 to fix. We told them no thanks and now we are looking for another plumber to fix our broken toilet, that we will have to pay for out of pocket. What a NIGHTMARE!!! Dont let anyone you know call ROTO ROOTER!!!!!
