Mr. Starr is smart, professional and very good at what he does. The job was identified, quoted and completed in a timely manner. I would recommend him for any plumbing related work.

I called Roto Rooter when my bathroom shower and tub backed up. The ad states that they have 24 hour emergency service. After waiting 14 hours the tech finally arrived. He was polite and very professional and was able to get the clog removed for a charge of 268.00. I questioned the amount and was told that this is their regular charge for snaking out a pipe. It was a terrible experience starting with the incompetence of the call centers to the absurd answers I received from their higher ups when I followed up on the website to voice a complaint. I was informed that the 24 hour service means that they get to you within 24 hours. I will not be using this company again.

Greetings all. I used Roto Rooter to dry out my home after a pipe went n busted in my wash room. They brought out fans heaters dehumidifiers the works. I then noticed my flooring began to buckle and budge so I lifted the budging floor and found that there was moisture underneath it. I reached out to rotor rooter and said that I would have to file another claim with my insurance company and they would have to write another ticket to finish a job that they never completed. they gAve me so much of a run around so they finally sent out AJ and Adam to assess the damage. they offered to pull the floors and baseboards but nothing about repairs or replacing what was damaged. I reqjested an itemized copy of what they were paid for and never received it. My insurance claims manager told me not to sign the check that was made out to both myself and the company until I was satisfied and they had done the job right. Needless to say my floors are now growing mold underneath the floor boards and I have had to get someone else out here to correct what they refused to fix. It's sad enough that your workers felt comfortable enough to drink alcohol and smoke marijuana on the job and be on the phone arguing back and forth with their spouses and discussing all of the office business. Went so far as to pull up pictures to show who's gay who's gothic and who sells and smokes the best weed in town but to treat me as a common criminal because I want the job done right is beyond me. I would absolutely not recommend this company

I called Roto rooter after my daughter purchased a house from fore closure to fine the drains clogged up when I called the RR center I was told that someone would come out and give me a FREE estimate and what time the tech would be out ..... They called 30 min before arriving as they stated and Norman was very polite when he arrived he looked to see where all the drains were and then he said he needed to go get his equipment to see what might be going on with the drain... he ran the snake down the drain and in about 3 min he pulled it back out and said from the grease on the snake this was the problem he ran hot water down the drain gave me a few pointers for her to follow and he was done ...wow all in about 20 min...that was GREAT .... but then came the surprise he gave me a 268.00 for the FREE inspection that was a shock ....but he gave me a discount still 216.00 bill ... where's the free inspection & estimate though this happened before work got done to see if you want to or can afford to pay that amount ..If I would have know it was going to be that much I would not have had it done right now I could not afford it and neither could my daughter this is a issue we both would have had to save for ..... I work part time that was over 2 weeks pay for me to try to help my daughter.... She is a single mom 3 children and a dead beat X-hubby ... The service was good the tech Norman was great very professional & nice would have gotten the service done in time ...I ended up having to put this bill on my emergency CC that I do not like to use now I have an additional bill to pay plus interest..... :(..... just did not like that surprise of the bill when I expected something else. They should tell you up front they have a standard fee that you will be charged if they come out that there really is not a FREE inspection & estimate.....

One of our toilets clogged late one Friday night. I called Friday evening after 10PM to set up a 7AM call to schedule an appointment for then next morning. They called me the next morning at 7 and advised the plumber would be there at 8. Tywon was here by 7:55. He put shoe covers on his shoes before walking in our house. Walked to the toilet, assessed the problem and retrieved a toilet snake from his truck. He removed a plastic top to a hair spray bottle from the toilet, filled out paperwork and he was gone in 20 minutes. Excellent, courteous service. I could not ask for better service.

Although I did not make another appointment, on 1/3/2016 I received a call and voicemail at 9am stating that they were running behind again and I would be contacted as soon as a technician became available. At 11am I received another phone call and voicemail stating that a technician could come out at my earliest convenience. I returned this phone call at 11:30am and again was told that since I was not able to answer their 11am phone call no one would be available to come out. When I asked the operator about what kind of discount I would be offered, I again was only offered a measly 10% discount for wasting my time. I told the operator not to contact me again unless a 20% discount would be offered. At 3pm I received another call stating that a technician would be sent out as soon as possible. When I asked this operator about the 20% discount she told me all she was authorized to offer was 10%. At this point I told the operator I would have to contact another company to come out. At 5:30pm I received another call and voicemail stating that some one would be sent out as soon as possible. At 6pm I received a call that Michael the technician was on his way and would arrive at my home in 45 minutes. At 6:45pm Michael arrived at my home and was the first person from Roto-Rooter I was able to have a professional conversation with, he was extraordinarily polite and worked quickly to resolve our issues. Finally, on 1/4/2016 I received two phone calls and voicemails from Pat Swanson apologizing for my experience and informing me that a 20% discount would be afforded to me. While I appreciate the exemplary service I received from both Michael and Pat, it is inexcusable for a company as large and as old a Roto Rooter to have such poor operator service.

We called roto router to fix a leaky toilet, which should be a simple job. Guy comes and quotes us $325 for new toilet handles and flapper. Puts them in and says it's fixed. After he leaves I test the toilet and it actually leaks worse!! We call them up and they agree to come between 8 and 10 the next day. We get a call saying they are really busy and won't be able to make it until later. Never go with roto router, worst company I have ever dealt with.

On 11/26/2022 Anthony from roto rooter came to our home to install pipes under our kitchen sink and sold us a product to put in our plumbing pipes to help flush our lines. The product was $110.57. Total charges were $788.55 for parts labor and the product. Anthony said he did not have not have the product on his truck but would bring the product to us on Tuesday. He never showed, we have called 4x to the office and no one has called back. We called last 12-16-22 to schedule another on-site service in hopes of resolving the issue and were told someone would be out 12-26-22 between 8-12pm. Still no one has shown. Worse still the pipe installed leaked because the connector from the disposal did not have a gasket so now our wood floor is warped. I would at least like the product we purchased dropped off or some one to answer my calls as I have left voice mails offering to pickup the product in person.

I will NEVER EVER use this company again. The most unprofessional company I've ever seen. They come out with no problem initially but when they didn't fix the plumbing issue, and had to come out and honor their warranty, that's when the problems began. They did absolutely nothing that the said they would do. They didn't show up at all one day. The next day the showed up 3 hours late. Then I found out they knew I had a broken pipe under my house in the crawl space and they didn't repair it. All the technician did was unclog the main pipe and charged me $550 As far as he was concerned, the broken pipe wasn't his problem. He was only trained to unclog drains. He was not a """"plumber"""". So little did I know, after the technician told me that my plumbing problem was repaired, every time I flushed my toilet it was dumping raw sewage into my crawl space. The 2nd technician that come out told me it wasn't their problem. I just hired them to unclog a drain. I HIRED THEM TO REPAIR MY PLUMBING ISSUES! I AM NOT A PLUMBER! The second technician was trying to justify why they didnt have to make me aware of any problems I might have had other than a clogged drain. I've never seen anything like it. Like I said unprofessional.

Multiple horrible experiences. I bought a new hot water heater that quit working within a year due to poor installation. Roto Rooter installed a new hot water heater after recognizing its mistake, but now the alarm on the second hot water heater is going off. I can't get them to come fix it. When I asked for the number for the general manager, I was given two separate telephone phone numbers. Each number was for a line that had been disconnected. Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced!!
