I'd give them zero stars if I could. They tore our floors up to fix the pipes and didn't fill the cement back to where it originally was. They left us with an uneven floor and refused to come back and level it off. We have small children who can't play in their own home because it has now become hazardous. After they got their money they couldn't care less about anything else. They blamed us for their short comings & said it we'd told them to fill it in that way which is complete BS!
I have never felt more taken as I did with this company. I explained on the phone with agent that my yard was flooded from backup in drain outside. Knowing this they sent a guy that was brand new did not know anything about drain outside he came with one tool a snake that is used inside toilets sinks etc. After he destroyed my drain cover and who knows what else he did then said he could not fix it after putting the snake down time and time again and water was coming out all over. He said I had to pay 200.00 just for him coming out. Its a scam do not call them
I was very disappointed with the service provided by Roto-Rooter. I have been having problems with the pilot light burning out on the hot water heater. There is a wind tunnel on the side of the house where the exhaust stack is located. The service technician arrived as scheduled and checked out the system. My mother was at home at the time. I was not home. Mechanically everything checked out fine (which we suspected). The technician recommended a flew liner for the water heater venting. I tried several times to speak with the technician as I had some questions regarding his recommendations. I wanted to understand how the recommendation would solve the pilot light burning out. Despite calling five times, I never received a callback from Roto-Rooter. It seems they were only interested in collecting the $99 service fee. I will never use them again.
Scheduled appt for Wed, they were to busy had to reschedule for Fri 10:30-2:30 . Plumber show's up he doesn't have the longer snake so they reup to 3:30 - 7:30 . Not happy to say the least .....St. Louis , Mo..
I scheduled an appt online and received confirmation. The confirmation added that he tech would call a half hour prior to arrival. The appt was for 4-6pm. At 5:45 I called the phone number and provided my ticket number. After 12 minutes I was told that hey were a little backed up today and it would be another 3-4 hours before someone arrived. NO THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After reading the complaints on the BBB website Holy Smokes I'm all too happy they never showed up!
Noticed our sewer was backing up in our basement/ garage on my way to work.this was after I showered earlier. So I Called Roto rooter when I got to work, and got a quick response from the company. (I leave for work around 5:15-5:30 am) they had a tech out by 8 am( pretty impressive!) unfortunately I could not be there but my wife and daughter were there. He decided to work from the stack inside the garage rather than from the vent to the house. Un fortunately this has been a problem since we purchased the house 9 years ago and the county(lateral insurance) we pay for monthly doesn't cover it unless it happens more than once a year?? BS!!!
He had the drain cleaned and opened within an hour. My only complaint is though there was some stains on the wall from previous clean outs , this guy figured it was ok to not clean up at all after himself, leaving bits of sewage on the door and wall. Even though there is a garden hose two feel from the clean out on the stack. Three more feet from the utility closet handle. With considerable amount of fecal matter and toilet paper on the floor in the utilities closet and garage floor. Blows my mind that he can consider that a job well done and expect to get paid $418 for cleaning out 100 ' of line (mine is only 75'to the street or 50' to the clean out in the yard, so that's an overcharge, for a half done job! We will not be using him again. On second thought I'll make sure they don't send The tech named Gabby. We have had good luck with other techs from them before. They did have a great response time. Still shit job. Retrain the techs!! Oh , and come clean and repaint my door and wall!!!
Total Scam, they just want your personal info - Had a pipe burst, called Roto Rooter on a Saturday late afternoon. They assured me they'd send someone out between 10a - 2pm on Sunday. At 1:30pm I get a call that they didnt have anyone to send out to fix my pipe. Still have a burst pipe, water flowing into my basement & have to start the process over to find a plumber. Im just assuming they weren't ever going to send someone, and now they have all my personal info. So pissed.
They came out to fix a leaky bathtub faucet. Stopped leaking for a month or so came back out, said I was turning the faucet off too hard it tore the rubber washer, stopped leaking for a few more months then started leaking bad again. Called them back out and they said the seat was bad and could only fix the washer since that's all he fixed from the beginning and it was no longer under warranty and if they come out again they would have to tear the wall out and replace the faucet. I asked customer service why they didn't fix the seat , she said she would have to check and get back to me. Still haven't heard back.
Charged $665 to my handicapped sister-in-law to clear 2 drain lines. Then sold her $76 worth of useless product to offset the $75 coupon she had. Used the commercial rate for a residential job. I called to discuss over 2 weeks ago and never heard back. Do not use this company.
I was contacted within the hour by a service rep, talked to the manager of the company and he agreed to remove the commercial pricing and comp the drain cleaning supplies. He apologized for not returning my call, said he never got the message. While I don't agree with their pricing structure I will say they've made a great effort to remedy my issues. Kudos to them.
