Please get a second opinion before committing to their work. My tub water would not turn off and I was quoted a price of $470.00 plus parts after they looked at it for 2 seconds. Of course I said ""no"" and called another private plumber. He was in my house and had the job completed in under an hour for $125.00. I am older and live in a nice home so I don't know if they thought I was senile or what but at first when they said 470 I should have said $4.70 because that would have been closer to the truth. I don't care if I live to be over 100 this old lady cannnot be taken advantage of. The 2 guys that came were nice and I am not blaming them-it must be something they are told to do from the higher ups.

The technician was on time and competent. The customer service regarding booking was cumbersome, inefficient and rude. Their feeble attempts at amelioration after I completed their customer survey were even worse. They repeatedly called me and left a message only to put me on interminable hold each time I called back. One out of seven people I spoke to was courteous - the others were rude or disinterested. Finally some manager called and wanted to know what the technician did wrong. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE PROTOCOL EVER.

I would give Roto Rooter 0 stars if I could. They charge you for services they do not even perform, overcharge you for areas they said they cleaned and when it comes time to pay the bill and ask why its so high they can't even explain the things they did or charged to the customer. To put it simply if you call these guys you WILL get overcharged, you WILL see items on your bill they claimed they did, but did not and they will try and collect the full amount and not even care. Stay away from the BIGGEST rip off plumbing company in KC. Call a small family owned business who will actually treat you right and do what they say they will do!

Terrible terrible experience with this company.
They refused to quote a price over the phone. We needed a main line clean out which should run in the neighborhood of $120.
Technician shows up and quotes us $321.
Little did he realize he was talking to my plumber husband.

I called them on a Saturday they said they could not make it out that day but they would put me on a service call for the next day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. The next day when they had not showed up by 1:30 I called back, the guy told me I wasn't scheduled for today I was scheduled for tomorrow, which was obviously completely different than what the guy told me when he scheduled the service. They told me no problem though they could fit me in before 5:30 p.m. I'm writing this review at 5:45 p.m. because I had to cancel the call because they never showed up. I called the dispatch one more time to check in on my appointment but I was told he was busy and would call me back of course he never did.

I will never do business with this company again. They are highly expensive and charge for 2 hours but the job only took 1 hour then the guy wanted to stand around and talk to make sure he gets for that extra so hour you can't say anything. Not happy at all. The next day they send out their camera guy to look to make sure the guy did his job and then wants to tell you need an additional 5200 dollars worth of work done. Worst company I have ever had to deal with. I'll be taking my business else where.

Did not bring the right equipment for the job and had to pay someone else to complete the work. Our appointment was late in the day on Friday and the technician was already on his weekend when he arrived. Good luck if you use them.

I had sewer water backing up into my basement and with one quick call I had a technician scheduled to come to my house. The ease of calling and making to request a service technician and the friendly customer service I received made me feel comfortable that I was in good hands. They called to let me know my technician was about 15 minutes away and Dwayne (tech # 3453) arrived shortly after. He was very nice and explained everything he was doing and what the issue was. While he was here I remembered another drain in the garage that had been clogged for some time. I asked if he could take a look at it and he was glad to help. I would definitely recommend. Great experience!

He diagnosed the issue, gave an estimate, then fixed the problem quickly. He was professional, polite, and pleasant throughout the process. We will use Roto Rooter for every plumbing issue that comes along!
