Called on a Saturday afternoon to unplug my sewer drain. Said no problem, would have someone out there within 2 hours. Called back 2 hours later and said their ""scheduling books were closed for the day"" but that they could come tomorrow. Never again!

In the time it took between Roto-Rooter missing the appointment window and me calling to cancel it (about 2 hours), Bob Hamilton was out to scope my sewer line, sent another guy to auger it out, and sent the scope guy back to see if there were any further issues.

I had a similar experience to other one star reviews on here. I scheduled an appointment last night for the 12:00-4:00pm window today. At 2:11pm someone called and told me they were running behind and would get to my house as soon as possible. I appreciated this update, however it was the last one I received from the company. I called again at 5:00 and then 6:00pm. Each time I was told my dispatcher would be in touch, but no one called me back. During the 6:00pm call I told them I just needed to know if someone was planning to come tonight or if I should plan on rescheduling. They told me they would still be here tonight but would call in case they couldn't make it. At 9:00pm I still hadn't heard anything and called again. This time I was able to speak with a supervisor and was told they needed to reschedule for tomorrow. (5 hours after my closing window time and only after I called for the third time to check in.) I am unable to take off work again in hopes they will actually show tomorrow, so they told me they could send someone out between 2:00-4:00am. To which I asked them to cancel my appointment. I understand running behind schedule and would have been completely accommodating if they had actually been calling with updates and to reschedule as promised. They handled this entire ordeal unprofessionally and I would be more willing to work with a more expensive competitor than to call them back in the future.

I scheduled an appointment to have Roto-Rooter clear out my kitchen drain, as the sink was clogged/backing up. It was very convenient to schedule something online. They called about 30 minutes before the technician arrived at my house, as promised. The technician was knowledgeable and professional. He successfully did his job and explained to me what was going on to cause the clog in the first place. Overall, a very pleasant experience, and I'll definitely keep Roto-Rooter in mind when I need this kind of service in the future.

I called for a service call today, Sunday, Feb. 25th and they said would have someone available between 5pm and 9pm... then at 4:56pm they called and said they wouldn't have anyone available after all but they could come tomorrow. Told them no, I will find someone else and to remove me from their contact list as I will never need their services again. I am sure my friends will have the same thoughts. I mean really, if you say you will be there then be there don't say oops at the last minute. Would give this ZERO stars if I could.

Set up an appt to fix a problem today. I was told they would be here between 2 and 6. It's almost 9pm now. No call, text, email saying they were running late or if they needed to reschedule because they were busy. You just lost my business.

Edit..... received a call at 9:12 that they are sorry and unable to come to my home. Would have been nice to have had a call or some other communication 3 hrs earlier. If there is an hr manager, communications manager, or someone In charge who reads this, contact me. This is unacceptable. I worked in customer service for 19yrs. I would never run a business like this. [email protected].

We had a water leak on New Year's Day. We called around 11 am and were told someone would come by our house today to look at it. We called again at 4:30, 7:30, and 8:15. At every phone call, we were told that we were still on the schedule but they were unsure what time. Each time, they told us they would call us back in a few minutes when they determined how long it would be, but they never did. Eventually, they told us that not only would they not be able to get to it today, but they wouldn't have time until January 4th. Also, we were on hold at least 15 minutes every time we called. Horrible communication, customer service, and phone system. We waited all day for them and now our water leak is even worse. I do not recommend this company. I would give less than one star if possible.

This was one of my first experiences with Roto-Rooter and I was pleased of the results. Mom fishing object out of toilet wasn't working and the guy they sent out managed to get it out with some effort. Price was affordable, service man helpful, friendly and cleaned up well afterwards. I will call them again if needed.
