I called Roto Rooter for a drainage issue in the basement. My plumber was suppose to arrive between 11 and 3. He showed up at 5 pm. Then he talked about finding condoms in a pipe at another house. He talked about a woman that was cheating on her husband and made me feel really uncomfortable. Then he started talking about how there were tampons in my pipes which the house has been vacant for 8 years and he had no garbage pulled out from the pipe. Then he claimed his machine broke and had to come back the next day. He came back the following day and said he was hitting something and he couldnt fix it, but I still owed $350.00 and he would send a camera guy out. I made an appointment for a Friday. The camera guy cancelled and said he could only come out on Sunday. He came on Sunday and smoked cigarettes the entire time he was quoting me the job. He kept changing prices and confusing me. First the price was 4541 to dig my front yard. Then when i told him I already paid 350 he changed my price to 4941 and said he would take the $350 off. Anyway, he lied to me stating he had to rip up sidewalks and telling me the job was way bigger then what actually happened. They came to dig my yard Monday morning and it took only 3 hours to complete the whole project. They never dug out the sidewalks. It was not as large of a project as he quoted me. Anyway the bill was even larger then the original quote. I feel they totally played on my emotions and took advantage of me. When I called Roto Rooter and ask them to reduce my pruce since the job was a lot less work then what they quoted me the man who quoted me the job said, ""I can send them back to rip out your sidewalks."" Next time, I will think before I get played for $5000.00. Don't trust them.

Why settle for just any plumber you find in the phone book when you can hire one that guarantees their work and your satisfaction with a 30 day warranty? We are very happy with Victor from Roto Rooters work. In less than an hour our drain was completely cleared! Definitely would call again, happy with the whole experience!

I don't remember the name of the tech and thought it would be on reciept but it wasn't. I was a little confused about the diagnoses of my drain/sewage issue.... there was a blockage in the line out to the street, and at first he alluded to it being a broken pipe and was quoted $5000.00 to put in some drainage thing so they would have access to it should this clog happen again... I said I have no money for that and then after he routed it for a good 40-45 mins he came to the conclusion that the pipe wasn't broken and it should be clear for a good 6 mths or so. So I guess I'm pretty happy with it, $465.00 later, better than $5000.00....K, Elgin

Called Roto-Rooter and had an appointment scheduled for Friday. Took the day off work and was called several times stating the technician had an emergency and kept pushing our time slot back. I was called around 6pm to ask if I wanted to continue to wait or reschedule (My original time slot was between 12-2pm). Eventually needed to reschedule for the next day due to lack of daylight hours at this point. When the technician came out on Saturday he performed forty minutes of work and said the line was cleaned out with a potential bow in the pope. He said his supervisor would be coming to verify the clean-out with a camera. The supervisor came out and found a clog still present in the pipe. He arranged for a second technician to come out the next day (Sunday_. The second technician and the supervisor came back the next day and attempted to clean the line. I was told told I had a pipe starting to collapse and was quoted more than $10,000. The supervisor and second technician Jeff were very helpful and friendly, but that price is outrageous to me. While both guys were very friendly it took from Friday until Sunday for this issue to be discovered. I was not at all happy with the first technician (whose name I do not know) and felt the $450+ I paid for his services was outrageous for forty minutes of work. Jeff and Mark should go work for a more reputable company because they are knowledgable guys working for a bunch of hooligans.

Scheduled them to come and change a shut off valve that was leaking. I made the appointment on a Thursday for a Monday service call. They where suppose to come out between 10am and noon. Got a phone call at 11:30am saying they couldn't get out there till after 5pm. I told them no problem waited till 5:45 called them again, dispatcher told me they would have one with in the hour. Called back at 6:45 same reply from dispatcher. Call again at 7:45 something. They called me back at 8:45 saying they have one on the way. Almost 12 hours later.
