A Roto-Rooter representative said ""no Roto-Rooter can do plumbing in Wisconsin"". So why is YELP advertising for their services in Wisconsin?

I give this place 2 stars because they were friendly and did fix my issue. We called cause our toilet, sinks & shower were backing up with water. This was Saturday evening they said 1 hour til someone is there. Then called back twice to say they were running behind, then called again said they would come the next day. Confused cause they say they are 24 hours. At this point nobody in the house could use the toilets or shower almost 2 days. Sunday comes they call say they will be here at 9:00am. Finally 9:30 they get here. Snaked the drain said didn't find anything stuck but it fixed out issue. We were quoted at $946! Had a $100 off coupon from the website. Still paid $902. From reading online and other reviews I don't see anyone pay this much. I recommend using a different company for sure. Sucks they break the bank. But I'm glad I can flush the toilet now!

We were informed that the pipes felt good. Couldn't feel any real blockage.
But he couldn't get the water to go down. The supervisor was supposed to call us to bring out camera the next day but no call .But we still got charged $300 for an incomplete job. So we called Ecano plumbing and had it cleaned in about 40min of showing up.

We purchased a home and the previous owner told us that they had the main line cleaned every year because of tree roots and it was about $100. They said they used Roto-Rooter. After closing on the home, I called the Roto-Rooter Kenosha office to ask when the line was last cleaned out. The lady's voice was all outraged attitude, telling me that, ""She can't give me information on the previous owner!"" I told her I didn't want information on the previous owner, just when the line was last cleaned, so I know when to do it next and that I could prove that I own the house now. More attitude from her... ""You'll just have to schedule a service call."" I should have known better and run the other way, but...today, we found water in our basement and, thinking the roots might be the cause, we called Roto-Rooter because they had previous records on the home. The technician was super nice (AND THAT'S THE ONLY REASON THEY EARNED ONE STAR) but the problem was something else related to the A/C. The service call was supposed to be $389!!! What??? For 5 minutes of looking around??? He was really nice, he had coupons and was able to reduce the price to a palatable amount. I asked him how much it would cost for him to clean the main line since he was here, and he said $723!!! Outrageous!!! I paid for the service call only and then made some phone calls to other local sewer/routing companies. They charge between $200-$400 to clean out the main line to the street; I was told $300 if it's a straightforward cleanout. DO YOUR WALLET A HUGE FAVOR AND AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE, BECAUSE SOMEBODY AT ROTO-ROOTER IS GETTING FILTHY RICH!!! I will NEVER use them again!!

I was scheduled to have an appointment from noon to 2 pm today. No one showed up at 2:30. I called, they told me they are backed up. I asked them for an approximate time they will be here, no answer. I called them every hour for an update. Finally, at 6 o'clock when I called them, they told me they won't be coming today. I told them I am waiting for them due to a plumbing emergency while skipping to visit my mom at ICU tonite. What a horrible and non reliable service.

Our kitchen flooded on Saturday and a call to Roto-Rooter yielded a response that ""we don't offer plumbing services in your ZIP code, only drain repair"", despite living in the middle of their service area. Seems strange that you'd call yourself a plumbing service and not offer plumbing, but I'm not in the industry, so maybe this is a common mode of operation. Either way, we ended up calling a competing, local plumber and got the service we were hoping to receive from Roto-Rooter.

The ladies scheduling are unfriendly and the plumber never showed for the scheduled appointment. After an hour has passed I replied to the appointment reminder email reminding them that their site personify customer service yet twice now we have not seen any such service.

I am highly disappointed with the way business was handled with this company. They sent a guy out who quoted me for toilet auger and lifting the toilet if needed for $300. He only snaked the toilet after 15 minutes of work and left. Two days later it was was clogging again so we called them back asking to fulfill the full initial order and lift the toilet, second guy still only snaked the toilet. Called back after a couple days (toilet is clogged worse now) only to have the woman tell me services did not include the lifting of the toilet and that would be a different price of $750 with a 10% discount. I'm upset due to the technician that came out telling me something different than what they told me on the phone. Different prices for the same job. We gave them over $200 to snake our toilet and it's still clogged. I told the lady that hair was pulled out of the toilet the second time and she told me they can't warranty me for what goes in the toilet. Well of course not! I didn't appreciate the sarcasm because I wasn't complaining of poor work being done, I complained of different quotes and not enough work being done. This was a rip off and a waste of our money!!

Called with an emergency at 3:45pm was given a 2 hour window. Dispatch calls to confirm appointment I don't hear the call, I call back immediately, was transferred to dispatch who then hung up on me, I call right back again and I'm told dispatch is busy they will call me right back. 2 hour window is passed by an hour, I call back again to check on this and was transferred to dispatch again who told me sorry we sent the tech home because you didn't answer??!! So now I need to wait until tomorrow with an emergency, kids can't use the toilets, shower, wash their hands etc. 3 hours are gone on a Sunday evening when I could have been trying to get someone else here.
