Ric F.Great service scheduling the appointment and having the work completed. Tech was professional and timely.
Called Roto Rooter in the early afternoon yesterday for service in Rochester Hills and a plumber was dispatched for same day service which surprised me. I got a info call plumber was on the way and he got there two hours later which had me a little worried that he would show up, but when he did, my only dissatisfaction was that he didn't have the parts on the truck. He evaluated my issue, went and got parts and entire repair was done in 2.5 hours. Outdoor faucet had to be rebuilt thru the basement. Great attitude, great service, but hefty price. Still, I would call them again. It was our second satisfied service experience with this firm. Just a tad expensive.
Tech came out at 9:30 am for the appointment from 9-1. He was friendly and got the shower drain unclogged in about a half an hour. Only downside was the price, which was $225 after a $30 coupon. Im not sure how that compares to other places, but seems pretty steep for a 30 minute service.
Jessie P.I called this morning to set up emergency service and was told someone would call 30 minutes prior to coming out and would be here btw 12-5. My husband and I waited all day. I missed a call at 3pm and called back 15 mins later and was told they sent the plumber elsewhere bc we didn't answer the phone. Now he couldn't guarantee that someone could come today. I thought the 30 min prior call was a warning call not a we won't come if you don't answer call. Unacceptable way to do business.
Klee L.So, it is Sunday and the whole house clogged after breakfast. I called my normal local Walled Lake plumber and never got a call back. Used the online appt for roto-rooter and was given a time frame for today! Yeah! Not only did they show up in their timeframe but got the job done in 45 min. Everything is now clear and functioning. Joe was nice and professional. Thank you.
Jade R.As luck would have it, our basement drain started overflowing on the fourth of July. After attempting to use a little DIY (and failing, we were no match for the drain), we were forced to schedule an appointment for Sunday, July 6 with Roto Rooter. I'm always apprehensive with home maintenance companies and steeling myself to get ripped off, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised from start to finish.
We booked our appointment from our phone and received a phone call around noon on the requested date that they would call when someone was on their way. Sure enough, someone called back within an hour and a service tech (Joe) was dispatched to us by 2:00.
After taking a look at what was going on, he suggested we snake the drain. We took his advice and he did so on the spot. When he was finished he showed us some lovely tree branches growing in the pipe and explained our 6 month guarantee.
While he was leaving, we pointed out a drain to him in our front yard (as new homeowners we have no idea what is going on with our house) and he snaked that one out as well for no additional fee. He was patient and professional with us the entire time and despite the fact that it was a Sunday afternoon on a holiday weekend, I never got the feeling that he was in a rush to get out of there. He made us feel like we were his only concern at that moment which was a great change from some of the experiences I've had lately.
Overall, everyone was professional, courteous, and friendly from the appointment phone call to the service tech, to the explanation on how to maintain the drain's upkeep ourself. I would highly recommend that if your DIY fails, to give Roto-Rooter a call. Even the price of them coming out on a Sunday was reasonable as well and I expected that to be a crazy fee so that was nice.
Also, just one piece of advice we received yesterday as well that I think could be useful to anyone who uses a toilet: ""Flushable"" wipes, while technically flushable, oftentimes do not disintegrate and instead absorb water and clog up your sewer pipes.
Thanks, Roto Rooter! It was nice to take care of this problem over the weekend as opposed to taking a day off of work.
Amy C.Called Roto-Rooter for a drain line problem. The woman that took the call was extremely pleasant. I was called 15 minutes before the plumber arrived. Fred, the plumber, was very friendly and easy to work with. He was very skilled at problem solving the issue and explained everything. Got the plumbing working again and gave me some good advice. It was more costly than I expected and had paid in the past through other services, hence the 4 stars, but I was pleased overall.
Markangela B.Do not deal with this shit hole business, we have taken 2 days off waiting on them only for them not to show....2 days in a row. They had some guy come in and say you have a leak...I pointed out the leak, he charged for his time and set up another appointment. Next day they called 3 hours after their scheduled block to cancel. Tonight I had to call them for the cancelation. These people are crooks and should not be in business. Stay away from using these crooks.
Connie F.I called roto-rooter because in the past I've used smaller contractors with devastating experiences and even though I knew they'd cost a little more but would get the work done that day. I'd lost water pressure in my kitchen sink and was afraid I'd need to replace the remaining galvanized pipes in the house. The plumber was professional and courteous and didn't try to sell me anything. After he gave me an estimate to replace the remaining pipes - it was way too high for what I could afford and since I had pressure to my washing machine he thought he should check the pressure in the kitchen -that it may be the faucet that needs to be replace. That's all I need to replace. I decided to also get a new hot water heater since mine was 20 years old and had been making rumbling noises for 2 years. He quoted me $430 for the new faucet with a sprayer (I asked for a decent faucet - not top of the line) and $795 for the 40 gallon hot water tank. He installed everything the same day. The work seems good (it's only been one day). My only complaint is that the faucet they installed seems cheap. I would think that over $400 would have gotten me a better quality faucet. That's why I'm only giving 3 stars. It would've been 4 if not for that. I do suggest that you have your phone with you at all times. I missed the first call while in another room and although I called them back within 5 minutes of their call - they had sent the plumber on to another call. However, within 10 minutes they called me again to let me know they had a plumber available.
call an independant plumber, you will save tons if not hundreds. .. for even just a simple common issue
