Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I will never use this company's services again. For one, the technician was an hour late for our appointment to snake our backed up drain. Then he snaked the drain once with no luck and proceeded to take a 2.5 hour ""lunch"" break and left all the equipment in our house. Called his company to contact him to get him to come back, they couldn't even reach him. He finally came back smelling like weed. He snaked the pipes again pushing the clog further down enough to claim it was cleared and left. One round of washing dishes showed that the sink was still backed up... I payed 770 dollars for literally nothing to be done. I feel absolutely ripped off. I would be okay with paying nearly 800 dollars if the issue was actually resolved if not partially fixed enough not to back up my sink... Now I'm down in money and I still need to figure out how to get this issue fixed...

zero stars is what Roto-Rooter gets. You have to choose at least one to get your point across. Roto-Rooter sent a plumber out who couldn't complete the job. it seems that he wasn't prepared for the task as I guess was to big for him. I had a plumber before that took care of my clogged drain and I call myself using Roto-Rooter. The plumber failed, still charged me a fee for showing up and lied about sending another plumber out with a camera to see what it could be that was clogging my drain.

We had a pipe leak on the 3rd floor leaking to the kitchen ceiling. Chan, our technician not only called 30 minutes before his arrival he showed up right on time. Also Chan not only did the initial work needed he also without hesitation looked at a faucet in basement that needed replaced and did that work on the same visit! The price was reasonable and well worth it! Chan did a wonderful job all while being pleasant, friendly and efficient. He left my home clean and was covid-19 compliant. I HIGHLY recommend using Roto-Rooter!!

Had Roto Rooter come out to fix a clogged pipe in my basement. Service representative was Donald Smith. He tried for about 30 minutes and said he couldn't get the drain unclogged and I probably had a collapsed pipe... seemed like he was giving up because it was hard. I called another plumber who came out and fixed it with no problem, the plumber said he gets calls like this all the time where Roto Rooter said it's a collapsed pipe but in reality it's just a hard clog.

SITUATION
On May 30, a service technician by the name of LAL, employee 1119, came to my condo in Odenton, MD, to unclog my bathroom sink.

REVIEW
LAL arrived on time, actually a few minutes early, having giving me a phone call heads-up that he was on the way. In that call, he was most solicitous that he was coming at a time convenient for me. I appreciated that courtesy very much -- set a positive tone before he even got here.

Once he arrived, I was immediately impressed by his patient manner and ""Can Do"" attitude when I briefed him on the issue at hand : the clogged sink in my bathroom. As a former Navy Seabee (Captain, USNR, Ret), that winning Can Do attitude resonated with me.

In fact, that attitude, coupled with his clear-cut technical know-how, left me impressed. Specifically, he cleaned out a ton of crease from that sink drain -- 16 years worth of built-up gunk. And he did it in less than two hours.

Put me down as a Roto-rooter fan -- even a cheerleader. This young man delivered when the chips were down. He is a true ""go-to guy,"" a credit to your company -- and to you company's reputation.

Used this company for what i thought was a small job that came with an outrageous bill. After doing dome research, there are other reputable companies with great reviews and way more reasonable prices. Snaking a kitchen sink wsx $599.00. Please do your homework before calling Roto Rooter.

Lets say plumbing and emergency are two not wallet friendly terms throw in weekend. I called independents and one other big three letter company in Baltimore. Anywhere from 150 to 250 for just the call, not the work. My hot water heater lines and valve decided to have a winter sprinkler party in my utility closet. Actually was going to just get a new one, seems gas hot water heaters are tricky. Called Rotor rooter, actually the technician is in with 50 gallon Fred, installing new lines, pipes and a valve. The price of repair, plus 12 month warranty on the work is less than half of a new tank installed.

I contacted Roto-Rooter late Friday night to have them fix a plumbing emergency that the original plumber that I contacted did not fix and within a couple of hours they were at my house working on the problem. Within 2 hours I was back in business, no more plumbing emergency. Excellent service and work! A true life saver!

My plumber was L.P. #2158. Soon after I explained the problem he realized what needed to be done to fix it. He then gave me the quote and I went with it. L.P. did great work and came through with what he said he was going to do.

There was an issue with what I was confused about what they could/could not handle...so ask questions before if you're not sure. I booked online which didn't allow for that. Customer service did reach out to make sure I was satisfied after the snafoo and the local manager Mr.Tolson was sweet as peach pie and I appreciate him caring that I wasn't happy. Its easy to tell when people are just scripted but it felt like he really cared I wasn't happy SO he either really cared or is a great actor thx Andrew!
