I had a clog in my kitchen sink. I called Roto Rooter to fix it. My mother was at home when the plumber arrived on-time. He had the clog fixed in no time. My only issue is the cost of the repair. I was charged $399 to unclog the drain which took under an hour. My mother also purchased the recommended Roto Rooter drain enzyme product and applies it to the drains as recommended. So, the entire bill was $457.25, which included a 6 month warranty.

My main issue is the $399 to unclog the drain. I think this is outrageous for an hour's worth of work. I wish I made that much per hour. Now I realize there was travel time as well, but $399 is way too much for a simple kitchen drain unclog. I bugs me every time I think about the fee. The work was excellent and the plumber was excellent, but the fee charged will prevent me from using Roto Rooter again unfortunately. I am willing to pay a fair fee for work performed well, but I feel I was overcharged.

We had a tub issue with the water coming from the handles on the faucet and spraying in the wall (YIKES!) so we went to home depot and bought replacement parts and contracted a plumber through their service list who never called and when I called after 2 days they stated the price I paid was incorrect and they would not send a technician out until we went back to the Home Depot and paid a different installation fee. I stated that we would be willing to pay the difference on site but my request was refused so my husband called 3 other plumbing services and Roto-Rooter came same day with no service call fee and did the work promptly.( I would have given a 5 star rating but the sticker shock held me back.)
