Never call this business. They charged $465 more than the city charges for the same job. Call your city or town first. $85 to clear a main line or $150 after hours with the city. Roto-router charged over $550 for regular non overtime on a Monday for residential service. This is price gouging. Taking advantage of someone that is having a problem at their house. Unacceptable.
Angela L.if there were o star, i would give it to Roto-Rooter. This Russian guy named Bur technician #274 charged me around 500 dollars to do the draining job, rushed the job, at the end told me that he finished the job but there is no guarantee, I needed to pay for $497 he charged to me, then he just left!!! A few days later, my basement flooded again that I have to call another drainer spent three hours there to fix the problem! just like the latter one told me that if he need three hours there, means Roto-Rooter did not do their job!
I called Roto-Rooter to complain about it, and they said they are sorry but they can not do anything about it?! So I tried to talk to a manager hoping someone who will act more in professional way, and he said because guy already charged me that I should refused to pay him at that time. I am a women with this huge Russian guy demanding on me what else I can do but trusting that Roto-Rooter is a well known company who should not be cheating in any way, and we call this is ""professional"" Roto-Rooter act????!!!!
Less than a year later and the problem is back and probably worse than before. I noticed today that water was spilling on my foot while doing the dishes and when I moved the baskets under my sink that had my cleaning supplies I realized that water has been leaking from the pipes for God knows how long. The water was thick and gross. When I called today to complain and have someone call to fix it I was told that since it's over the 90 day warrantee it would be full price again. Excuse me? So plumbers here can do shoddy work that'll go bad in less than a year and the customer has to pay full price again?
Also- the customer service center is in Maryland, not local at all so the best they could do was page the manager for this area to call me back. I learned that on my second call. I waited an hour for the first call back and when I called the number again that's when the customer service agent told me they themselves are not local. All she could do was re-page the manager. No call back yet. I'm furious. Pictures will be posted to show how badly my pipe was leaking. After paying $570.03 the first time there is absolutely no way I'm paying full price for a second time.
CHICOPEE MASS. not California EVEN YELP GETS STUFF WRONG !
The guys in the trenches did a get the job done quick . Price up there ,if you rent a camera for a day from home depot $ 250 . And the roots $250 your Happy getting the mess done . A survey shows up right away you give them 5 stars like I did cause the BAD part over . But pending camera I waited home for 2 weeks nothing . I called to find out if and when but NO BALL PARK ESTIMATE of when . 32 days later they come with out any call or notice I was at the store shopping . The call back # that tech Berim #279 left on invoice # 15-399126 was 781-858 7201? I called that day the main # telling them any notice would be good . Next day I'm visiting at Mt. Marie and missed the call . I call back the main # cause the message they leave you on the phone WONT SAVE , IT VANISHES so write down stuff as your listening . The main # put me on hold to the dispatchers and the phone went dead ! GET READY FOR PHONE TAG !!! I'm happy my roots were cleared but thats it , they get to your house quickly . Its almost as stressful as the roots and back up water problem . I will use a local person next time .
Trey W.I was a bit hesitant to go with a Nationally Franchised company, as I figured their prices would be high and service sub-par, but I was desperate with an ""overwhelming"" plumbing emergency....so I called.
Quick to answer, and quick to get out to the house! Jeff came and advised that a Septic Tank pump might be beneficial before cracking any seals, so I sent him on his way at that time. After some digging around, I determined that the septic wouldn't be an issue. I called Dispatch and apologetically requested that Jeff returns.
He did without complaint, and diligently worked for nearly 3 hours until all of the issues were resolved. These guys turned what started off as a very stressful day, into a sigh of relief. Did I mention this was the day after 6"" of snowfall, and it was about 10 degrees?
I will definitely go with this team should shat ever hit the fan again.
Jennifer W.Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Absolute rip off with bogus charges. They are trying to charge our homeowner's insurance 17 THOUSAND dollars for the following experience: We had a wax seal cause leaking from our upstairs toilet, which caused water damage to our downstairs bathroom ceiling with water dripping. We called on a Tuesday morning and was told that plumbers are not 24/7 emergency service and that no one could come out to us until the next day between 8am and 12pm. This was baffling considering the website says 24/7 emergency service. My boyfriend stayed home from work to wait for them and no one came until 4pm to assess what was wrong. Two days later, the team came in and tore up the downstairs bathroom ceiling, walls, and floor. They installed some fans and dehumidifiers to run for a few days to get the moisture out. They had to come back the next day, Saturday, to do the upstairs bathroom. They tore up the bathroom floor and a part of the wall. They installed four fans and two dehumidifiers to run. On Monday the plumber came and completed the repair for a separate $250-300. On Tuesday, the fans and dehumidifiers were removed from the bathrooms. On top of this, the communication between project manager, his crew, and the plumber was terrible. No one showed up when they were supposed to, no one knew what was going on, I would ask questions and no one could give me an answer.
These guys are trying to say this was a Cat 3 clean up, trying to charge for 5 days of fan and dehumidifier use on the upstairs bathroom when it was only 4. Trying to charge for work on the kitchen, porch, and stairs which they DID NOT TOUCH. They're charging for safety equipment that was not used, as we had tenants home with them the whole time. They're charging for plastic barriers that were NOT set up and left behind while the rooms dried out. They also tried charging almost $400 for extra fans that were NOT left behind. We have video of all the fans and dehumidifiers set up in both bathrooms and the dehumidifier in the kitchen.
Best part is, some of their fans and dehumidifiers are still sitting on our porch waiting to be picked up. No one has picked them up or contacted us to get them in over a week.
I would like to add that the contractor putting the bathrooms back together is only charging $6k total.
Quick response offering to come out the next day which was a Saturday. The technician Damian #639 was very polite and was able to diagnose, quote, and unclog the pipe from the kitchen sink all in about an hour. Service was excellent but was very expensive at $507 to snake the pipe and add liquid treatment. This included the rest of the jug to continue treatment once a month with a 6 month guarantee against another clog.
Stephen R.Service was great they got the line unblocked that my dumb self caused. Called on Saturday was here 2 hrs later. Can't complain about cost it is what it is. Very professional, good thing I didn't need to be told how to prevent it in future because I already knew what I did and shouldn't of. Guy was shocked I admitted to it said why not I screwed up not going to play dumb or blame someone else in family. Overall if looking for quick service give them. Call.
Sergey was clean and knowledgeable and, i would say, the equipment he used was remarkably clean looking. due to the fact that i knew exactly where the blockage was and where the cover for the septic was, we were finished relatively quickly. he seemed to know from experience that there was blockage inside the septic tank which he was able to break up and clear. that is, after we dug it up which only took a few minutes. once he cleared the blockage in the septic tank, he cleared the 4"" main thru a ""Collar' that we also had to dig up to find, which is where the pipe from the house ties in to the septic tank, and where solids had started backing up. he cleared it with his electric ""cable"" or auger. he was able to clear everything. i was very pleased that, even though the machine looked clean, he did not have to bring it into the house to clear everything. the only reason the service was not 5 star was the price. $450.00 was what was quoted, -$25.00 for an unspecified discount...and, while the discount was appreciated, i still feel like i paid about double or so of the value of the work. thanks, Sergey, you helped...but economics will force me to shop around more next time.
Service man arrived very soon after our call about a clogged drain. Was courteous and well prepared. Completed the job and cleaned up after. Drain is now working well. But the price he charged for the half hour he was here was very high, ever with a 'senior discount'. He even charged us $75 for a 'product' that I was not aware of until he presented his bill. He cleaned my drain and drained me clean.
