The plumber Marian was nice. How we the charges for amount do work done was high. I had mold damage and they brought out their water restoration sales man -Aaron. Well, let's say Aaron made a lot of claims how he would work with us and they work for us, basically insinuating our insurance comoany doesn't work for us. They came out , took out bottom cabinets, took a sample of our floor and left. That was a Friday. Monday was Labor Day so of course nothing , Tuesday came and still nothing from them. Meanwhile our kitchen is all trapped up and they left us in a panic. Finally husband calls Tuesday afternoon and of course, we have asbestos tile. Nobody even called us. Had my husband not called we would probably still be waiting. They basically told us -well we are out we don't do asbestos. Gave us 1 name of a company that could help and that was it. We did get our asbestos tile removed and I literally called Aaron 3 x -no response , called Mark the manager 1 x, left 2 voicemails on the office # -no response and texted Anthony 3 x as well as called him. Anthony was only one who replied. We still had mold behind our sink that needed a small panel removed and sprayed. Finally after feeling like it was a complete battle to get a return call they came out and removed this 2 x 2 section of drywall. All they did in my basement was spray a tiny amount of mold killer. We get the bill today $2700!! The ONLY description is water restoration. I did call about the bill and I'm waiting for a return call. $2700 is absolutely insane for the very minimal amount of work they did. I will never use this company again. When you're in a moment of distress-that's when people come out to gouge your wallet.

I made an appointment online for these guys to snake my clogged sink. They came out several years ago and were on the pricey side, but provided great service. This time they kept rescheduling on me because they took emergency calls over my scheduled one. For those of you who actually were able to assess their performance in a review, congratulations, they saw fit to show up to actually serve you. Don't bother with them if you're serious about solving your plumbing problem.

Do not call rotor-rooter to clear a drain. It's a sales opportunity for them.

My daughter needed her drain cleared. Prior to even one technician showing up, a water restoration sales person shows up, to sell services. After speaking with him for a bit, she realized, he was not here to help her clear the drain.
The first technician shows up, runs an auger, and tell her she has a problem and offered solutions such as a drain sleeve. Drain not cleared.
Camera man shows up, runs camera, tells her she has a problem, offers some recommendations, none of which are to simply clear the drain.
Second technician comes, runs the auger, says he cleared it some, but she has a problem requiring more expensive services.
I rented an auger; an amateur cleared the drain.

The company is a rip off. Way overpriced.

Cost to snake your main (100 ft) from an easy access point through RR: $320. But, through a local ""licensed"" plumber: $200!!!

Cost to run a camera through your main through RR: $324. But, through a local ""licensed"" plumber: $125!!!

Cost to hydro jet your main to clear it out through RR: a whopping $835!!! But, through a local ""licensed"" plumber: $300

The first time we had RR come it, the guy said we didn't have an access point to our main and that he needed to cut a hole in our bathroom wall to unclog it. We had just purchased the house so we hadn't had a chance to look ourselves to see where the access point was. We told the guy no, we will get a second opinion. We told him we suspected that it was in our crawl space that obviously we have one, we just need to find it. The guy said ""I don't do crawl spaces. It also costs extra so we would need to bring someone else out."" The guy left and my husband says to me that he just can't believe we don't have an access point outside. We walk out to the front and immediately see it sitting high underneath our bay window. Yeah, the guy looked REAL hard. We called RR back and they sent another person out.

The customer service is horrendous! My first appointment, no one showed up. I called and they never apologized, but rescheduled me for later that same afternoon. I was NO Showed again- twice in one day! At this point, I've taken an entire day off work. I called and spoke to scheduling manager, Jay. He apologized, said he'd give me a 15% discount for the inconvenience and rescheduled me for a couple days later. If you can believe it, Roto-Rooter No-showed me for a 3rd time! I called to let them know, and left message for Manager Jay to call me. No one ever called. I received an email from them a few days later confirming that I had cancelled my appointment - WHAT?!? Hard to believe how this organization can stay in business with such horrible service!

They were available on a Sunday, easy online scheduling, price was a bit high, but fair. They were respectful, helpful, quick, and clean. Definitely easy and worth it.

Pro tip: there's a $40 off coupon online. We didn't even print it, just showed it to him and he honored it.

I'm terribly disappointed with Roto-Rooter.

I was given a 6 hour window (11-5) and when I made the appt I suggested the hot water heater would likely need to be replaced so be sure to bring one. The scheduler said they don't carry them on the truck but if it did need to be replaced they would get one and come back and install it.

Well, the tech did not come until 9:45?! 10 hrs and 45 mins past the start of the window...

And he said he couldn't get new hot water tonight and he'd have to come back tomorrow ?!
It's the worst customer service I've ever experienced ---Wow

Rotorooter responded to my 9am online request for resolving a backed up Storm sewer drain in my basement within 2 hours. They indicated a 5 pm to 9 pm time slot. They called at 2:30 and said they could come sooner if that was ok. Brad arrived 10 minutes later! Awesome!
Brad patiently explained his aporoach. Even though i asked lots of questions, he readily provided understandable information. Once i agreed to proceed, he got right to work, and got the drain cleared of mud, pebbles and small roots. He then recommended and scheduled a camera inspection to isolate the root cause of the problem. Awaiting call from the camera guy
Cost was a bit higher than i was expecting (~$350) but that includes another visit by the camera guy. Overall, i was very satisfied with Brad's work, responsiveness and professionalism.
Thank you!

I loved my technician. He came within the time window promised. And he fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes....
