I called for a quote for a sink install and said someone could come out and give me a quote. They called the day of quote/install day and said they did not do sink installs.

I had Roto-Rooter perform water remediation services at my home in March 2025. While I appreciate that the company has agreed to cover the cost of the new flooring, vanity, and faucet, I've been left with unresolved damage to both of my closet organizers -- damage that occurred during the service, not from the original water issue.

Despite sharing photos and explaining the concerns in detail, the proposed solution has been to paint over cosmetic damage and patch the units rather than replace or properly restore them. I've been cooperative throughout this process and just want a fair resolution that reflects the condition of the items before they were handled.

What's especially frustrating is that this unresolved issue is now delaying progress with my insurance claim. I've tried to address this directly and professionally with their team, but so far, there's been no acceptable path forward.

I'm still hoping Roto-Rooter will step up and make this right -- and I'll gladly update this review if the issue is resolved. Until then, I'm sharing my experience so others know to be cautious and thorough when reviewing post-service damage.

I waited for them for 4 hours past my confirmed appointment time and then they called and said they could not fix my problem. They're disorganized and slow.

Can't say enough good about my recent experience with Roto Rooter. Came home to a burst pipe and used the Yelp Project app to contact several plumbers. Roto Rooter was the first to respond (within minutes) and got me the assistance I needed. Jerry, my tech, was knowledgeable and made the experience as easy as possible. Can't say enough about how helpful everyone was through the whole process. Thanks Roto Rooter and Jerry.

I recently hired Rotor Rooter to address a plumbing issue in my home, and I am extremely disappointed with their service. Not only did they arrive late without any communication, but they also failed to complete the job. Despite repeated assurances that the work would be done properly, I was left with an incomplete and non-functional plumbing system.

The manager I spoke to seemed inexperienced and struggled with basic tasks. Furthermore, when I contacted the company to resolve the issue, their customer service was unhelpful, dismissive and disrespectful. I am now left to find another plumber to fix what should have been a straightforward job and pay twice for the same job. As they refused to refund the payment.

I would not recommend Rotor Rooter to anyone looking for reliable and professional plumbing services. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. Specifically if you are not in person when they are doing the work.

The job was to replace a rusted cast iron pipe under tub they made a collage and said it was worth the price.

What is the point of them sending a camera down the drain line if they can't see a whole over the size of a quarter??? We were being precautious and asked them to snake the drain line from our washer because we had a backup after a freeze. They also sent a camera down the line and left saying everything was fine. The technician, Curtis, who did the snaking said he was relived that the camera didn't see any issues because he thought he had gotten caught up on something. Well - He did! The next day I did some laundry to find water all over the floor! I cut into the drywall and found a hole over the size of a quarter! It was suspiciously similar in size the the head of the tool they used to snake the drain. There was also spray of brown splashes all over the walls behind my washer - they had made no effort to clean up after themselves. I called back for them to repair it and I was literally in shock when the plumber who came told me it was not going to be covered under warranty. Apparently there is a ""hold harmless"" clause on the back of the paper work. I spoke with a manager named Joseph who was incredibly condescending and even sounded a bit sexist. So I had to pay a couple hundred more dollars to get the issue fixed.
Don't call them! They create problems and don't stand behind their work!

At noon we were told we had a two hour window for a repairman. It is now after 8:00 PM and still no plumber/technician. We have no water in the house. Due to the water leak we need repaired, the main has been shut off.
The only one to show up was a guy they sent to see if we needed their (expensive) restoration service, and he showed up in less than two hours. Our last communication was around 7:00 PM and we were told it would get done tonight, but they had no technician available. HUH? I'm hoping we get it done before midnight. At one point we were told they had one ahead of us then we would get serviced. If we had known all this, we would have contacted someone else. How can a business like this survive?
I will post again if we ever get our repair done.

My oh my was this a story full of cataclysm, angst, and drama.

Bizarre situation but we had a precious item of jewelry fall off and into the toilet AS THE TOILET WAS FLUSHING! To make matters worse it was like 11 pm on a Friday. Almost every plumber we called said to kiss it goodbye. But roto-rooters told us to shut off the water and don't flush any toilets and wait for them to come... they eventually sent out two absolute heroes to our house.

They put a snake camera in the pipes and located the jewelry. They tried to fish it out with a coat hanger but the jewelry was close to falling over an edge and being lost again. So the man, Terry was his name, exercised expert judgment and said we would do best to came at it from underneath, through the dry wall. He said he knew exactly where it was and we don't want to give that up. (This turned out to be a genius decision and may have saved our bacon).

He called another man named Juan that came out to cut the dry wall and pipes. He said he was nervous but Juan acted with pure poise under pressure. I'm talking Jordan in game six. Im talking Tom Brady down 28-3 in the SuperBowl. Hall of fame performance from Juan and Terry both. He cut as soft as possible so the jewelry wouldn't fall down.

They shined a light and could see it in the pipe. It was so close to the drop! I'm talking 2 inches away from falling over a cliff. They had the clever idea of putting a drill bit right thru the middle of the jewelry to hold it in place - I mean Terry was out here making Bill Belichick level game-time decisions. They then cut the pipe and for a moment we waited with baited breath cuz we thought we lost it again. But then Juan handed it to me. We cried tears of joy.

God bless you, Terry, Juan, and Roto-Rooters! Please give these men a raise or infinite job security. I am forever grateful. Just typing this up makes me want to cry all over again.

Called to get my main drain line cleared from a slow draining line and the technicians showed up 2 hours late. I told them what the problem was cause I have had this problem before then the technicians begin telling me all these problem my house has then before even trying to complete any work the technicians start by trying to up sale me on all this work that my house doesn't need. They tell me that my house has water damage and this other bs without even looking at anything. Then when told them that we would find another company to clear the line for a fraction of the price they continue to try to argue with me and try to rip me off. Then when told to leave the 2 technicians proceeded to stand in front of my house and argue with each other. Real professional company.

With my experience with Roto Rooter, the technicians have always been great. My problem is with the office. My basement has flooded twice with sewage water and Roto Rooter techs have determined that the blockage is in the street which means that it is up to Citizens to fix. It has been an absolute nightmare trying to get Roto Rooter to upload the video to Citizens. They first informed me that it would get uploaded in 2-3 days. it has now been almost a MONTH. And i'm basically just playing phone tag with the office. It's so disrespectful and dangerous as that is what is slowing the process down for the city to come and look at it while putting our health and the health of our pets in jeopardy. Will most likely never use Roto Rooter again for that reason.
