We had a blocked pipe and sewage backed up into our utility closet in the garage and into our main floor shower. After trying to find a company to come out quickly to fix the issue (since we tried but weren't able to clear the pipe ourselves), we found RotoRooter. Tim (#2508) was at our house about an hour after we made the initial call for service. He was very polite and explained the repair and charges very clearly. About an hour after he got to our house, our blocked pipe was no longer blocked and we were free of the smelly sewage that was in our home. We would definitely use RotoRooter again and would recommend Tim as an excellent technician.

For over 35 years, my husband I had problems with flooding in our basement. We have attempted to fix the problems from a number of different angles and nothing seemed to work. We even hired private and we'll known contractors to do the Work. After spending decades of time, energy and resources, we said ""let's give roto-rooter a shot at the task. Roto-Rooter came out to our home, gave us a free and professional estimate at no charge and further more rendered services that fixed a problem that no one could fix within the three decades of having our home. Roto-rooter fixed the problem and we no longer have flooding in our basement. We highly recommend roto-rooter and it's professional plumbing services to any and all who wants the job done professionally

Our sewer backed up for the first time in over 20 years. We felt lucky to have this company come out. Even though the city told us they should rod the sewer through the cleanout pipe, the plumber said he could just use the drain.

The work seemed to do the trick. For a year our pipes ran ok. But then they backed up again. This time the city recommended using 4x6 expandable blades (Roto-Rooter does not use this). We called another plumber who had this and he used the cleanout pipe, as recommended. He found enormous roots that had obviously been in the pipe for several years. He also charged us about $100 less than roto-rooter. Based on where our trees are located and the age of the roots in the line, he said we will likely not need the sewer rodded out again.

I do not recommend this company as they only do a minimal job by getting only surface roots.

I called them on Saturday around 4pm and they told me no problem sir will have the plumer there in like 3 hours well guess what the guy called me like hour after I spoke with the lady and he ask me what was my problem and I told him and he said well don't worry sir it's not to big of a problem but I can't make it today so we need to do it tomorrow (Sunday) I was like ok. Dispech called me right after that and told me will have a guy coming in Sunday morning around 9-11am Well guess what it's Sunday 1pm and still no plumer and they call me to tell me that he will be little late just little only day an a half later and still no PLUMER.
This was the worst that I thought can go WOW LOOKED THEY'RE WEB SIDE CALL US AND WILL BE THERE ANY TIME IN LIKE FEW HOURS
I THINK THEY MANT WILL BE THERE IN FEW DAYS AND IF YOUR HOUSE FLOODING DON'T CALL US WILL BE BUSY LOL This guys are joke.
So if you NEED PLUMBING YEAH DON'T CALL THEM

After some horrible storms our sump pump finally died. We called the next morning and they came right out as fast as they could. Our service tech (Don #3145) was so helpful, polite, and knowledgable. He explained everything to us and answered all of our questions. He worked very fast and he even made our system better as some things were not correct previously. Thank you, Don!! I had a clogged sewer line. Roto Rooter came out and rodded the line. Then they said I needed my septic drained. Had it drained the next day. The clog was still there. Call them out the next day and they rodded the line again. 30 minutes later, my toilet was leaking. Called a different plumber the next day who reset the toilet the right way and rodded out the line yet again. Now there are no problems. Roto Rooter tried twice to rod the line and only managed to make my toilet leak. And they charged more than double the price of the plumber who did the work the right way. Will NEVER use again.

Had a clogged kitchen sink. Tried twice with different equipment to fix it on my own. Felt the clog, but just pushed it down the line. Called RR on a Monday AM. My only complaint is that they came, but later than they said they would. Frustrating, but Dan was a great technician. Evaluated the problem, explained what he was doing, and was done inside of 30 minutes. Great guy, great job, and I'm grateful he could get done what I couldn't. Even got a plumbing lesson out of it. Price was steep ($400), but worth it. So (homeowning) goes.

Our kitchen sink drain clogged on a Sunday evening. We tried all the usual methods to unclog it, but it was going to require more professional help (namely, a long snaking). We called Roto-Rooter on Sunday night, scheduled an appointment for Monday morning between 8-10. We received a confirmation the next morning around 7:30. Bill, the technician, was there around 8:30, as scheduled. He was professional and courteous, taking care not to make a mess in our house and was very respectful of our belongings. For me, this is an important aspect to consider when judging work done around the house. Bill took the proper precautions to ensure that we weren't left with a mess. He snaked the line and was done in about an hour. It wasn't cheap, but I appreciated the professional service. Having this type of work done in your house can be a nightmare and a hassle, but Bill made it easy. I will use again if problems arise.

This Sunday late afternoon I noticed a horrible smell in the basement and went in the laundry room to find a bunch of dirt and crap in our utility sink. My husband cleaned it all up and then I went to take a shower. After the shower our laundry room floor was covered in the crap. We called root-rooter and they had someone out within an hour and a half on a Sunday evening! The plumber inspected all the different areas he could and found the source of our problem. Not only did he help us figure out the problem, he stayed for 4 hours on a Sunday evening flushing all the lines in our house out to the street. If that wasn't amazing enough, the company did not charge us for emergency service! I would highly recommend the Naperville Roto-rooter any day and specifically tech William whose tech number is #25-2986. he was a life saver and extremely pleasant to have at our house!!
