Beware...Made an appointment over the phone for rotor rooter explaining that I want an estimate on adding a catch outside of my apartment. The guy charged $100 for the visit as soon as he got there while leaving simultaneously. He told me I have to pay $500 for that type consultation and to schedule another plumber to look at it.. huh?! What did he come to my house to do? He had no answers...the office had no answers... in hindsight... I should abruptly told him to leave. What a waste of my time and quick $100 lost in a 2 minute visit!!!

We are in Geneva Il. Roto Rooter came do to sewer line. We paid 1000 dollars for repair. Then they convince us we would not be charged for clean up They LIED to us. It took forever hem time to convince us. We were so stupid to believe them. Now , five weeks later, they are placing a lien on our home because we do not have 5000 to give to them. Note this was a small clean up compared to most homes in area. Do not be fooled by them They are attempting to ruin us b cause they scammed us.

Hmm,where shall I start... I had a blockage in my clean out pipe in my yard. Toilets were backed up, bathtub and sink. When Roto-rooter came out they quoted me an outrageous price without even looking. I know it's a simple clean out. I have rented the machine at Home Depot and did the job my self. This time it was cold and snowy and no thanks. Anyway I have this pipe cleaned out every 1-2 years (because of a lot of tree roots) so I'm pretty confident with a price range.
This guy quoted me 4x the price! I said forget it that's way to much and suddenly the price dropped to 1/2 the price! It was still more than what I have ever paid but considering the desperate situation I paid it. The guy assured me I wouldn't have a problem for years however 30 days later I faced the same issue.
Luckily they have a 90 guarantee so when I called the very nice customer service rep said no problem someone will be there within 2 hours. Then I got a call from the ""dispatcher guy"" whom informed me they would not be coming today. When I happened to mention that the girl I spoke with told me someone would be at my house within 2 hours he said, I highly doubt she said that to you."" (Are you calling me a liar?- I was thinking ) I didn't argue with him but I'm sure he could tell I was mad.
They came out the next day and with a lot of my husband's help the issue got fixed but they said they need to come back to check with a camera.
Needless to say they didn't come back to double check. It's been about 2 weeks now so no issues yet... (fingers crossed)

I urge caution with this company. First telephone person seemed knowledgeable, directed me to a scheduler for my sump pipe problem. I missed Dispatcher #1's call and got an email saying my appointment was cancelled. What appointment?
I called and went through the same loop, then was awakened at 7:20 am on the day of my 9 am appointment. As Dispatcher #2 looked at my info, she said, ""Oh. This is an outdoor job. You'll need to wait for another dispatcher.""
Dispatcher #3 called several hours later to let me know that they'd need to explore the sump pipe (??) with a camera and the charge would be $500. That's when I gave up.

Would never use or recommend this company. Came out and was not able to help but wanted a ton of money and made the problem worse. Was just trying to sell me water clean up that wasn't needed. Never looked at the 2 pumps that were no longer working. Had another company out that was half the price of this company and got the work done.

We had water in our basement & they sent someone out right away. The tech inspected the basement, sump pump & everything outside. It turns out that our sump pump is working & explained everything. It appears we have some cracks in our foundation that the extra water was coming in thru. Long story short, they did not charge for their thorough inspection & we just have to keep an eye on the basement to make sure it continues to dry up. We obviously didn't know much so they could have taken us on a very expensive ride, but they did not. When we actually do need plumbing services, they are the first ones we are calling.

I was able to schedule an online appointment same day. Mark texted me that he was 30 minutes away giving me time to plan around my work schedule. He showed up in time and was professional and courteous. Fixed my clogged kitchen drain. Excellent customer service. Six month guarantee on work and at a reasonable price.

I had an emergency situation on a Sunday evening at 6 PM. When I spoke with Roto Rooter they told me there would be a 2 hour service window. The person I spoke with was professional and very nice. At 8:30 PM I called back to check on the status of my""2 hour service window"". I was told dispatch was very busy and would call me back soon. After not receiving a call back within 15 minutes(now 45 minutes past my service window) I called again. This time I was told it could be another 1.5 to 2 hours and they didn't know for sure if that was even possible. The person I spoke with was rude and basically hung up on me. It was now
8:45 PM on Sunday night. I gave up and called someone else. When I called them back to cancel the service I spoke with the original person who was still Professional and very nice. She said she was sorry to hear of my bad service.
