We had a gas shut off valve that was leaking and continued to do so when turned off so the gas co turned it off at the meter, this was very late in the evening. I called Roto Rooter just before 5am and requested service. At 7am I received a phone call telling me my plumber, Armion was on his way. Armion told me exactly what he needed to do and replaced the valve, turned on the gas and made sure the gas hot water heater and furnace were lit and the stove worked before he left. He also took extra special care to wear protective booties over his shoes to protect our new carpeting. He was knowledgeable and professional. He is an asset to the company, Thank you Armion! I would certainly recommend him tech #601 for service to friends and family.

A rude, tremendously overpriced, horrific experience!!! While I was at work our kitchen sink completely stopped up and backed up water into the dishwasher and onto the floor. Online, I saw that there were fair comments about Roto-Rooter charging around $250 for such a service. I called and they said the technician sets the price. The guy came out, was rude to my wife, set a price of $435, reduced it to $395 when he saw her reaction. He snaked the drain and was out in 20 minutes....$395!!!!!!!! We shall never, ever call Roto-Rooter again for anything except to honor the warranty on this work. The technician did not even listen to my wife as she was going to ask if he had a more powerful shop vac, he just ignored her and left. A horrible service by horrible people. I give 2 stars only so this review stays posted. This was a horrific experience.

I called today and got a technician out in just a few hours. The man whom I spoke with on the phone, Bart?, was polite and concise. The tech, Chris (#3393), came to my house on time, greeted me with a smile, and already had booties over his shoes to protect my carpeting which I greatly appreciated. He listened attentively as I explained the problem with my bathroom sink overflowing when my washing machine would drain. He then gave me a quote before he did anything and explained what he would be doing. He ran the rooter through the pipe several times to make sure he got everything, then ran my washer and sink at the same time and waited for the drain cycle to make extra sure. Chris was so kind and smiled and high-fived my toddler and was great with him. I will recommend this company and call again if I ever have a problem. As a bonus, their job is guaranteed for 6 months, if there's ever another problem with this drain, they will come out and do it again for free! Good deal! I was told to check out a promotion they had going on to write reviews for this company. Honestly I wasn't even thinking about the promotion, just really wanted to give props to the tech that came out. Thanks, Chris!

Filepe Bueno did a service for my home in aurora and did an excellent job. Very professional. You would never know he waseven here except for the problem was gone ! Would recommend highly. Was thorough in explaining the causes, remedies, and how to prevent future situations. Very good customer service

We just bought our first home and the second day after taking a shower, the toilets and utility room drain all backed up. We called Roto-Rooter and were given an accurate estimate of the wait time, including the option for a water restoration service to come in, although the damage was not that bad. Silvano came in and did a thorough inspection, very knowledgable and helpful. Unfortunately we discovered the line from our newly purchased home to the city sewer line was rotten and broken at the basement connection, requiring excavation and installation of PVC pipe instead of the ancient cast iron pipes previously present. Pretty disheartening for new home owners! Silvano was very nice and sympathetic to our situation, even explaining that we could have had a pipe and plumbing inspection as part of our home inspection before buying -- now we know what to do next time! The day after, Jesus and his crew came out and did a great job excavating and installing the new pipe with minimal damage to our front lawn. I highly recommend Silvano, Jesus, and their teams as everyone was very helpful and sympathetic to our situation. We can now take showers in our new home!

I have found a plumber for life in Harold #2004. He was on-time to Aurora, IL and greeted me like an old friend. He assessed our problem quickly (shower valve problem) and had it fixed in minutes. What I really enjoyed was that he explained to me what he was doing as he went through the process; not only did I get a 100% perfectly working shower but also I learned quite a bit. I will only call and ask for Harold from now on, and I will always pass along his info to friends and family.
