Live in Plainfield Illinois, found these guys with a quick google search during an emergency leak in my upstairs bathroom. They walked me through controlling the water and came promptly in the morning to fix the issue. Would definitely hire these guys again based off their reliability alone.

There was was nothing unpleasant about this visit... O and his professional knowledge and demeanor will keep me coming back time and time again. I enjoyed how they explained everything to me!! They cleaned everything when they were done .. His supervisor was also top notch!! I am in the military and will be recommending them to anyone in the service in my area !! i will always call them first. I am impressed and both of those two show that not all heroes wear capes. I was satisfied with the service. We called for a routine cleaning. They were scheduled to come between 8-12. They showed up at 3pm, however the guy was professional, and talked to me about my options. After some thought, I just went with the cleaning. He said it would take 1 to 2 hours, it took about an other for the cleaning and 30 minutes for the clean up.

Jonathan was great! He thoroughly explained his process for rodding out my basement that was filled with water. He also made me aware of the promotion and coupons that were available. I felt comfortable explaining my concerns without feeling like I am going to be ripped off. It was a very difficult job because but he was patient enough to complete it. We've had a vomit-inducing sewage smell coming out of the sump pump pit for two weeks. This obviously should not be happening since it's only supposed to be ground water in the sump pump. But after having 3 plumbers out there was still no conclusion as to what we should do. Each plumber said something different and quoted us much different prices. Roto-Rooter was highly recommended on Home Advisor so we gave them a call. Cy was at our place in under two hours. He was very professional! The only guy to put covers on his boots and to ask if there was a back door so he didn't disturb our family. So very thoughtful. He gave us a couple options on what to do and gave us the lowest ie. fairest quotes of all. He was done in an hour, honored our coupon and was on his way. I'll definitely be calling these guys back!

I had roto-rotter come out and they fixed the problem but three weeks later the issue came back. I called them again and they came out and fixed the problem and ran a camera to see what actually was going on. They made up some stuff about my pipes being slightly off and this was causing the problem. To fix the problem it would cost me $4000 but that would not repair the drive way they had to tear up. I called a different plumber and they found the real issue which was tree roots that where in the drain pipe but where to far back to be routed out from my main service cap and need to have a new service cap installed. If I would have paid Roto-Rooter $4000 my problem would still be there. They where trying to make a quick buck.

Kitchen sink not draining--original tech came out in March. Showed him the drain clean out in the basement. He rodded out only from the sink. Worked a little better for a couple of weeks but then stopped working and was worse than ever. Tech came again in June. Waited for the tech at noon, he showed at 3:15 and was at the house until 7:00. Told me that my first problem was that I owned a garbage disposal, and proceded to tell me that you can only put ketchup and barbeque sauce down the disposal. Showed him where the drain clean out was in the basement. He rodded only from the sink, did it a couple of times with no result. Told me I had a venting problem and should call another tech personally the next day. I called the next day, never receieved a call back. Being done with this garbage, I called a different plumber a couple weeks later. Plumber knew what I did, that the drain clean out in the basement needed to be opened and cleaned out from there. Fixed the problem in an hour. I did not receive a bill from the plumber until September. When I did, called roto-rooter for a refund to pay for the other plumber to come out (less than half the cost of roto-rooter). Was told no, that I waited too long. Like somehow this was somehow my fault! Horrible customer service, horrible techs with little knowledge.

We live in Racine, WI. We had a clogged pipe going from our kitchen sink into the basement drain. Roto-Rooter came out that same afternoon and unclogged the drain within an hour. I would definitely call them again. My only negative comment is the incorrect statements made about Drano. I understand that Roto-Rooter would prefer me to use their drain cleaning product but, as an employee of SC Johnson, I know Drano is not an acid and will not damage pipes. 2638JAMES
