They came out to my house in a quick time frame, but as other reviews say, they are quite expensive. I give 3 stars because the technician was able to locate the problem (big problem). He couldn't fix it because it's more than a Roto-Rooter job, it's a full digging out of the sewer pipe and replacing it. I was pleased with the service, but it's a little pricey.

I had a blocked garbage disposal at 10am and Roto-Rooter came out around 3pm to fix it. I was charged $159, and the technician took less than an hour to finish the job. He was professional and courteous. I did get a sales pitch for a product to keep the drain and pipes from accumulating sludgy material over time, but he wasn't pushy when I declined.

Called my regular private plumber at 7am this morning with a critical crisis of a clogged pipe and broken pipe. No response by 11am. This is a private, individual plumber I have used for 15+ years and goes to my parish. Nonethelss, I called Roto-Rooter and within an hour they were at my house, provided me an accurate and competitively priced bid. By 1pm, the house was back to normal operations along with recommendations and helpful hints to avoid future issues with my plumbing. Still no word from my private/independent plumber........Roto-Rooter and DON ROCK! High level of comfort with them. They are now my go to group.

I love how easy it was to make an appointment online, even for appointments later the same day. The worker showed up on time, and even called a half hour beforehand, so I didn't have to leave work any earlier than I needed to. Diagnosed and fixed the problem right away. Great service!

Holiday weekend-so they were short on workers-but they did come within 24 hrs and fixed our root bound drain-techs are very friendly-$250-but they do guarantee the work for 6 mths AND they came out fairly fast for a holiday weekend-I would definite recommend rotorooter!!!

MORE EXPENSIVE THAN EVERYONE ELSE THAT DOES THE SAME THING! They will not quote you a price, hourly rate or anything else over the phone, because they are outragously expensive! Highly suggest calling around to find a less expensive services that is qualified to stick a metal tube down a pipe and get poop on their hands.

I called this plumbers to help me out on our water pipes, their service was good it take too much time to fixed all the problems and I'm disappointed because they came late. They provided a satisfactory service but I paid too much for their service. But anyways let me say thank you for the service although it was more than expensive than what I am expecting. Hope next time you'll come on time and hope you'll have cheaper price for your service.

Totally agree on the bad review of Roto Rooters! They ballooned my family too - for a less then 3 min of work charging over $250+.

I called Roto-Rooter late in the day when the drain in my basement backed up and started bubbling up with sewage. They came out that evening and spent two hours cleaning the drainage line and the main line to the backyard -- outside in the dark. Very nice. Explained everything they were going to do ahead of time then after they finished, took the time to explain what they found and how to prevent future problems.

Watch out for these so called plumbers. They will come out to your house without charging a service fee but when they get there anything goes.

I have a crawl space under my house and I was told there would be a service fee to crawl under the house to inspect the leak.

I laughed and said no there wouldn't be a fee because you don't even know what needs to be fixed.

The guy suited up with knee pads, shoe protectors, and a hair net and crawled 10 feet under the house to inspect the leak. Then came back and told me it would cost a minimum of $500.00 to fix.

I declined their service and called another plumber who fixed the problem for $150.00.

Roto-Rooter only knows one starting price, $500.00
