We had a clogged kitchen drain and after almost killing ourselves with a combination of chemicals that didn't work we called Roto-Rooter. Ariel came out within 2 hours of my call. She was great. She was actually training someone and my wife was so impressed with her skills she couldn't quit talking about her. I highly recommend RR. This is the second time we have used them and they have always shown a high level of professionalism and skill.

I needed a plumber quickly to fix a garbage disposal. I called Roto-Rooter at 8:30 this morning and they had a repairman at my house by 11:00. Both the person I spoke to on the phone and the repariman that came out were beyond courteous and helpful and the problem was fixed quickly and at a very reasonable price. I will absolutely call them in the future.

Main line drain backed up at 10pm. We called 8a for appointment and had a tech here within 2-3 hours. Called another company who didn't have anything for the next 3 DAYS (yeah this can't wait sorry). Experience was very good. Call was answered promptly. I was told I could be taken care of in the next couple hours. They called (dispatch) an additional 2 times to let me know the status of the tech and 30 minutes prior to arrival. Jim came out and was very professional. I had to remove some paneling to get to the access point but other than that went smooth. Jim was happy to answer my many questions about not only the problem (root infiltration) but also the benefits of an outside access which I currently do not have. He wasn't trying to sell me one, but told me what further options would be available to me if I had one installed (don't have to be in your basement, can use wider auger line to scrape the whole pipe not just 4 inches which is all they could fit in the basement drain). Cleaned up, wore shoe protectors (even for the equipment). Showed me the roots he dug out. Thanks Jim I appreciate it.

Only problem: I forgot about the coupons. Huge screwup on my part. When sewage is backed up you forget stuff like this. Don't forget the coupons! Ahh that's money down the drain!!!

Yes, I am writing this on Christmas day. My wife took a shower, and came out and said the bathtub wouldnt drain. YIKES...oh no..not today..no way will we get anyone today, and tomorrow is saturday, then sunday, and we have a septic system..oh aaaaaarrrrgggghhhhh!!!!!

So I called roto rooter figuring there was no way they would come out today, but I felt I needed to show my wife I could take charge of the situation. Well they answered the phone and after a few brief questions told me that they could have someone out within 4 hours. I was happy, my wife was happy, our friend from NJ was happy. Thirty minutes later, I got a call and the tech was on his way..WOW!! Steven showed up, assessed the situation, and got to work. In less than an hour he was on his way and we were able to go about our water business...flush, shower, run the dish washer, the washing machine, etc. You dont realize how much you use water until you cant use it.

Steve was way cool, he was professional, personable, knowledgeable and just an all around nice guy. He had been working until 1am on Christmas eve, and had already put in about 6 hours on Christmas day, and still had more calls. He didnt lose his cool, was not upset about all these hours on the major holiday of the year. He took care of us, and that was just what we wanted. I am amazed, and by the way, he made me look good in front of my wife..give me 5 Steven!!

I had a serious leak under my kitchen sink. Tried to fix it myself and made it worse. Used a Groupon for a plumber (not Roto-Rooter) but after calling the number for three days, I got NO response. I called Roter-Rooter and got the plumbing completely replaced the SAME DAY.

These folks are awesome. They videoed the entire sewer line. I could see the broken crock with my own eyes! It was a mess and needed to be removed. They did that in just one day, from the beginning to the smoothing out the whole front yard. They even offered to seed and straw the yard, but there was no need. Most of the grass is just fine. All my little trees were untouched. Then after all was done they videoed again to be certain everything would work perfectly. They are true craftsmen. I am delighted with the results. All homebuyers should have Roto-Rooter video the drains before you buy. Thanks to all for a job well done and at a fair price. I now have plumbers to help me maintain my new home should I need it.

We had backed up drains and a shower in our basement on a Saturday morning, and when I searched for plumbers open on the weekend, Roto-Rooter came up as the first listing. We had used them in our old house, so we called them immediately - at 7am. The receptionist was extremely friendly and we had an appointment window scheduled for 8am-12pm. Jim, our plumber, called at 7:50am, and arrived around 8:15am. He was knowledgeable and friendly, fixed all of our problems and checked other lines as well, all for the quoted low price - I had expected a much higher bill since it was a weekend, but was pleasantly surprised! When Jim left, everything was fixed and clean. He was excellent, and the job was done by 10:30am. We will definitely use Roto-Rooter in the future!

I recently had a sewer back up in my basement this past July. I have always used Roto rooter for drain services and have had great service. Again the service was excellent. Of note the edging on my basement steps was damaged from the worker bringing the drain cleaner machine up and down the steps....dings in the trimming.

I have never used the damage restoration service. They were prompt with responding to do the work, but I had to make calls about fans/dehumidifier being picked up and also trash that was removed from my basement was thrown/placed outside my side door on a sidewalk leading to my back yard. Subsequently it blocked the walkway and I could not access my trash cans for trash pickup. Also the haphazard way the items were placed, spilled over into my neighbors yard which made it difficult for him to cut his grass. There is also a piece of flooring still in the basement that was not removed and the personal items that I was told would be removed at the end of the job are still in my basement.

My rating is a combination of the drain cleaning services which were great and the damage restoration services which were ok.

They were also quick to send me a bill when it was also sent to my insurance company.

Very aggravating. It took 3 attempts to get someone out here from Roto Rooter and after spending over $300 my drain is no better than what it was before. Complete waste of money.
