This place is a 100% joke. Came out a year and 2 months ago, took $800 of our money with a smile on their face. They OBVIOUSLY installed our Sump Pump incorrectly, made a bad joint in the PVC, now it's leaking. REFUSED to help us in any way, because """"It's out of warranty."""" Yeah, TWO MONTHS past their labor warranty. In an economy like we are experiencing right now, they REFUSE to just replace their part. STAY AWAY from these crooks.

Updated: So, they missed the initial window but sent me a coupon for a discount off their services. With that, I thought I'd give them another shot. They showed up on time the second time around. The plumber they sent was personable and helpful. Adding a star for him. Their prices though are higher than you'd expect (600+ for replacing a flange, 400+ for a repair of one).

$450 base charge before they even determined how bad the clog was or how long it would take! Outrageous! Basically trying to take advantage of people who are in a pinch!

Got 2 phone calls after I wrote this review but when I called them back no one returned my calls as usual. And no one has been out to see what they did to my neighbors yard. Never Ever use them.

Avoid at all costs if you like your money and want to hire people that respect your property. I was hesitant to call Roto-Rooter after seeing so many bad reviews online and should have heeded the warnings. My wife and I were having backup in our sewer drain line and had a moderate amount of sewerage water back up into one of our bathrooms which we cleaned up with some towels. I had called another plumber earlier in the day who was unable to remove the blockage. We decided to give someone else a chance and called Roto-Rooter. They said they would be out within 2 hours and called about 1.5 hours later saying they were 30 minutes out. I explained the problem and was told that he needed to snake through the toilet line. He immediately told me it would be $660 to do this work. I had to ask about the cost if he couldn't clear the line. He told me it would be $330 which I thought was ridiculous. Anyway, I authorized the work and he got started. The first thing I noticed was the shoe covers he put on the first time he came in the house never went back on his feet. He walked in and out of our bathroom and through our house without shoe covers after walking in our recently flooded bathroom. I was very clear that this had happened, but no precaution was taken to protect or respect our home. He brought in the snake machine which was too large to fit through our bathroom door. He removed the door and wheeled in the machine. I had towels used to clean up the overflow water on the bathroom floor which he threw into our sink right next our toothbrushes. I couldn't believe that he did that. He knew they were on the floor with the sewage water. He tried to clear the line and was unable to clear it. He immediately tried to sell me a $500 camera service which he said I had to pay for before he left. I told him I didn't want to do that with them. He rolled his machine out (again with no shoe covers on after being on our dirty floor) and reinstalled the door. I paid him his failed job money and he left. I walked back to the bathroom and noticed it was substantially dirtier than before (now there was sewage on the walls around the toilet), there were scrapes on our tiles, and wheels marks on our doors. I called the manager the next day and was told it was not their job to clean up and insisted that the plumber had done their job. Not listening or caring about the disrespect to my home, the call ended with me being even more upset than before. This company does not care about you and will charge you way more than any of your local companies that care about you as a customer. Do yourself a favor and avoid Roto-Rooter at all costs. They will not treat your home as their own, they will not care about you or your family, and they will charge substantially more than other companies even if they don't fix the problem.

This ripoff artist charged me $350 for 1.5 hours labor and $75 for a valve that I could buy at Home Depot for $10. The valve to turn the water off to my house broke on a Sunday afternoon and I could not the water back on. I was between a rock and a hard place so I had to pay these thieves. I would never use them again and I strongly suggest you don""""t either!!

Called them to come out to give a estimate. Man knew I couldn't do it myself because I I'm handicap and he completely took advantage of me. Even had the nerve to tell me he gave me a $100 Dollar discount installed $40 dollars worth of parts and $260.00 dollars labor total $310.00 and was at my house 40 minutes and like I said he was going to charge $410.00. The water was leaking a little had me right where he wanted me if you want to keep it honest call someone else!!!!

Roto-Rooter (Atlanta) SUCKS BALLS. They were supposed to do some work for me today. They confirmed that the technical was on his way while I was at work. I left work to meet him at my house. The tech was 30 minute late. When he got here I opened up the garage to let him in but he sat in the truck for 10-15 minute then just drove off. No knock no call. I hate MF that don't do what they say they will do. Particularly when it puts me out of my way.

I had a leak from out water line just outside my house where the line connects to the house so I called Roto-Rooter for assistance. The salesman was out within a couple of hours that morning and was very nice and professional. He quoted me $1475 to find the leak and repair it. I paid and by 12 PM they had a tech on site to repair the problem. Two hours later, the job was finished and the tech was gone... but he left me with his digger tracks all over my sidewalk and driveway. One might think that for $737 an hour the tech would clean up his mess.. now I'm stuck with it.. BTW: he dug up two of my shrubs around the water line and didn't return them to their spots but instead stuffed them under my Japanese Maple. This was a HUGE hit job on the customer.. no way this should have cost $1475 for two hours work.. no way. Yep, I did get a completed job and they came out and did the job the same day.. but in the end.. they ripped me. I'm changing their rating to a one star as a result of their custom service follow up. Pat Swanson, their Customer Satisfaction Manager, made a request that I contact him about the issue and he then forwarded my response to him to the General Manager Lance Chapman, who called me within a few hours.. Mr Chapman accepted no accountability or responsibility for the damages to my sidewalk and driveway. Furthermore he stated that it their business practice was to use set price quotes that would cover the costliest option efforts without consideration if the job effort is far less; it's just their gain when they complete the job in a small fraction of the effort estimated. He used an example where their charges are for three to four hours but the work was completed in fifteen minutes but they still charged $600 with no adjustment. He also stated that I could have hired a local plumber down the street to do my job for $100 to $200 easily. For me it was less than two hours work for one person and was charged $1500.
