I paid $150 for the technician to show up and only look at my appliances. Never connected my drier. The customer service keep taking me in circles. I feel taken advantage of. NOT COOL!

I would not recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone wishing to have totally transparency and honesty. They came into my home to restore a room from water damage. They informed me I had mold and that they would check the insulation to ensure it was not damaged. When I returned to my home. There was no evidence they checked the room for mold. They did not take up the entire floor for drying the water. The contractor pulled up the remainder of the flooring where water still remained. They damaged the door frame to a closet. They charged for moving items they did not move. They attempted to charge me 6600.00 dollars for services they did not render and attempted to use intimidation to get me to pay. I presented them with videos as evidence of this. If I could give them zero stars I would.

Very unprofessional. The on call said the guy car was over heated. The supervisor lady stated that he was stuck on a job. Which is it.

Do not use this company. We had a leak in our master shower. I called to have them come out to replace the cartridge in the faucet. They gave a vague 6 hour window of when they would show up. My wife was the only person home when the plumber arrived. He came in, tapped his finger on the faucet and said """"this will cost about $825"""". When my wife asked why so much, he gave the excuse that the faucet was high end and he would have to order a part. He also claimed that he would have to turn off the water to replace the part so that raised the price. Essentially, He tried to scam my wife because she was home alone. I called another plumber - Meachum plumbing in Hoover. He came at the exact time he said, he was in and out in 40 minutes, and charged me $220.

my name is Al Grant I would like to say this is the worst company I've ever dealt with they offer no warranty and send shit talking mexicans to service customers I

I will never trust roto rooter ... called them out to clean our main line to get toilets working and they claim its fixed... two days later same problem... Had a supervisor come out with a camera and tell us the septic tank was FULL on the second time ... so we called pickle plumbing and septic as that's who roto rooter recommended ... they arrive to pump the septic ITS NOT FULL ... guys from pickle plumbing take a look and told us the main line was still clogged ..... paid over 600 dollars for roto rooter to lie and take advantage of us GO WITH PICKLE PLUMBING AND SEPTIC NOT THESE SCAMMERS

I originally called Roto Rooter to come out and check out the drain problem I had. I had a backup problem in two bathrooms and when the guy came he asked where the septic tank was and where the clean out was and I didn't know. He suggested getting my septic tank cleaned so the people doing that would find everything, so when he came back I wouldn't have to pay him by the hour to find it I didn't think it was time to clean my septic tank but I didn't know what else to do. I called Precision Services and they said they did both. I told them I wanted a clog fixed and not necessarily my septic tank cleaned. No problem they said. It was a problem. (For more info read my review of them.) It's cleaned and I call Roto Rooter back and they are coming the next morning. First thing the guy, Ronald, says it's going to be $600 to snake it at least. I had already talked to my son about helping me pay . Ronald tells me I should invest in putting in a clean out.(If I had a clean out, I probably wouldn't need you, Ronald. But thanks.) My brother suggested going in through the shower but the answer was no. He asked if the toilet had to be pulled to clear the clog what would it cost and Ronald said $800-$900 and my brother said he would pull the toI let himself but Ronald said it would cost the same. Ronald also told me not to connect to the sewer because I would regret it. Then it turned into an $800 job to start, up from $600 he quoted me to begin with. My brother said to him he had been digging trying to find the line that was clogged and Ronald said keep digging. I didn't want to call my son with this price anyway and I didn't expect them to do the work for less but it seemed like he had already decided not to do anything when he realized there wasn't a clean out outside. My brother showed him the clean out under the house that was a 3-4 inch pipe but he said that Ronald kept insisting it was only 2 inches. Ronald had either had a big Labor Day the day before and was tired or something else made him reluctant to start the job. It seemed like he was loo for an excuse not to have to clean it out. I was disappointed because by this point I hadn't showered in a week and a half. Ronald called his boss about something he said and he left. I received a strange email from Roto Rooter that looks to me like a job was performed here . I repli and asked what it was about but didn't get an answer. When I called the phone number the woman I talked to said it wasn't closed.I couldn't get a person when I called just now but the email looks like they are saying a toilet was pulled to clear a blockage for $650 and they didn't charge me for it.

Our basement had a little bit of water not flooded called ROTO-ROOTER plumber where there ended up being a team come out to take pics and analyze. My husband signed electronically, THEN handed back the tablet ...Well we never thought this would happen but ROTO-ROOTER ended up filling in like they did every room plus the basement. They had big huge fans in the garage/basement where - even though there were no walls for the basement they claimed it was the bedrooms. They put a lien on our house during Christmas without proper notice while we were out of town. When we got back they were going to execute on the lien claiming we owed $12,000. Even though the original estimate was around $4-6 thousand. We only received a letter from their attorney asking us if we disputed the charge. WE certified letter back but it was as if we never sent the letter. Mind you the property lien was already filed. They did things in reverse assuming they would execute on our property. We filed at court to stop execution. For five days of work they claimed in court we owed them $19,000 without no paper trail. No notice of lien by them. When at court ROTO REAMER did not give us credit for homeowners paying them or us making the co-payment. The Judge constantly prompted them to work it out. They remained hard nosed. Long and short RUN THE OTHER WAY as these people are deceptive... Another couple - we read a similar experience who filed with the BBB in Birmingham only they had videos. When they thought we didn't have photos they went full boar on over charging us thinking we did not have a leg to stand on claiming they had all the signatures (electronic) mind you ONLY it was filled in by them. We stopped their deceptive fraud and paid a fraction on what it should have been in the first place. Glad we found out before it was too late. How we discovered that fraud was because we happened to be at the courthouse since my husband had just settled a court-case on the property with his ex, otherwise we would have never known until this was executed. For sure they take advantage of homeowners as much as they can. RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!! This event happened in Odenville Alabama

Greetings all. I used Roto Rooter to dry out my home after a pipe went n busted in my wash room. They brought out fans heaters dehumidifiers the works. I then noticed my flooring began to buckle and budge so I lifted the budging floor and found that there was moisture underneath it. I reached out to rotor rooter and said that I would have to file another claim with my insurance company and they would have to write another ticket to finish a job that they never completed. they gAve me so much of a run around so they finally sent out AJ and Adam to assess the damage. they offered to pull the floors and baseboards but nothing about repairs or replacing what was damaged. I reqjested an itemized copy of what they were paid for and never received it. My insurance claims manager told me not to sign the check that was made out to both myself and the company until I was satisfied and they had done the job right. Needless to say my floors are now growing mold underneath the floor boards and I have had to get someone else out here to correct what they refused to fix. It's sad enough that your workers felt comfortable enough to drink alcohol and smoke marijuana on the job and be on the phone arguing back and forth with their spouses and discussing all of the office business. Went so far as to pull up pictures to show who's gay who's gothic and who sells and smokes the best weed in town but to treat me as a common criminal because I want the job done right is beyond me. I would absolutely not recommend this company

On 11/26/2022 Anthony from roto rooter came to our home to install pipes under our kitchen sink and sold us a product to put in our plumbing pipes to help flush our lines. The product was $110.57. Total charges were $788.55 for parts labor and the product. Anthony said he did not have not have the product on his truck but would bring the product to us on Tuesday. He never showed, we have called 4x to the office and no one has called back. We called last 12-16-22 to schedule another on-site service in hopes of resolving the issue and were told someone would be out 12-26-22 between 8-12pm. Still no one has shown. Worse still the pipe installed leaked because the connector from the disposal did not have a gasket so now our wood floor is warped. I would at least like the product we purchased dropped off or some one to answer my calls as I have left voice mails offering to pickup the product in person.
