Do not use this company. Their prices are completely OUTRAGEOUS and there are other more reputable companies to utilize.. Unfortunately this was a last minute call I made and Roto Rooter was the only company that could come out same day. I had a main line water clog which needed to be snaked. The tech came out and snaked the drain, simple fix and did mention we had some roots growing through the pipes and quoted $10-15k just to repair. Just for the snake and fixing the clog, I was charged $355. I said really that much? the tech simply replied """"yep"""".. I luckily found a $40 coupon online so my out of pocket was $315. From speaking with others, $355 is outrageous for a simple snake down the main line with nothing else major being actually repaired. I called and spoke with Rob who stated $355 is the flat rate fee they charge no matter if they are there for 10 mins. Beware that you will be charged an arm and a leg without any explanation if you decide to use this company. Oh Rob did offer to apply the $315 I paid to the $10-$15k repair job due to the confusion...really??

I had them run a pipe from my washing machine to my septic tank. Two guys worked for 7 hours....$6200...just sayin'. It pays to shop around.

Maybe their other services are worthwhile, but, if you have a toilet to install, just call HOME DEPOT. I had a 6pm-10pm time frame Monday evening. I only needed an estimate for a toilet install and disposal and their customer service agent I called told me they don't have pricing to give me but the estimates are free. I called Home Depot and they charge, $99/per toilet plus $25 per toilet for disposal- I'm replacing x2 toilets. I had to call (very nice people!) at 9:45pm because I had yet to hear from anyone...they were running behind and said that they couldn't seem me until Midnight. Well, I had work so I rescheduled. Again, this evening, it was approaching the end of my 4hr window and I heard nothing. I called and then the plumber showed-up to tell me the cost for the toilets was going to be $600!! I said, absolutely not and I told him the cost for Home Depot. Again, he tried to negotiate with me- he said, $525, I told him no again, and he comes back and says, $350. I again remind him that not- Home Depot is $250 total for BOTH toilets with disposal. He says, """"oh well- I tried!""""....what?.....I don't think they should waste anyone's time with this ordeal if the plumber is just going to NEGOTIATE when they get there. The stars are strictly because the customer service agents were so kind but the plumber's behavior was bizarre...

It's after 2 am and I'm now on day 2 with no water. The repipe started yesterday,,,,, yesterday! I am so very tired and I'm still waiting for them to get done. The technicians are very pleasant and they are trying. But they were not staffed properly for this job. 2 days with no water! If it were not for the nice plumber I would have rated my experience a 2. I don't know if I should be angry or just cry.

I have never had to call a plumber before and I chose Roto-Rooter because I've seen their vehicles around so I decided to give them a call. I called at 3:00 pm and the representative that took my call told me they would be to me by 5:30 pm and they would call me when they were 30 min away. 6 pm came so I called back and they put me through to a dispatcher so I could get an ETA. She was not as friendly & she said """"You're next on the list so when he finishes he will be on his way to you"""" I asked her if she knew about how long and she said within the hour. He finally arrived at about 8:10 pm. He was very nice and professional. I have no complaints about him. My kitchen sink was draining very slowly, that's the reason for my call. He came in and looked...well glanced under the sink and said """"it's gonna cost you $338 to snake the drain"""" I WAS SHOCKED! If I would have known it was going to be so expensive for literally 15 min of work I would have called around and went through someone else! But by this time I had waited hours for them to arrive and I needed a kitchen sink so I sucked it up and had to pay it. My husband was very curious and called a friend of his and they just had theirs done by another company for $148! The technician from Roto-Rooter advised by husband that they get commission so I'm sure he charged us too much but Roto-Rooter allows this! The more you know I guess. I only gave this 2 stars because the technician was so polite and professional. But if I ever have another issue I DEFINITELY WILL NOT use Roto-Rooter! Waaaaay to expensive!!! A company that charges hourly is cheaper than them!

The Roto-Rooter team got in touch with me, heard my concerns, and offered to cover the difference between the original quoted amount and what the plumber ended up charging me to make it right. The team was great in addressing the issue.

I have an undetected leak in the house, that per city meter it's about 100GL/hour. I called Roto-Rooter and requested a professional specialized on water leak detection. I was told the cost was $199.00 an hour. I was told that since a listening device is needed , I had to wait 2 days for the technician to come to my house. When the technician arrived he said he couldn't use the leak detector device because the house didn't have a water shutoff valve. I was so surprised, because even though I'm not knowledgeable, common sense says the water valve needed to be open for the leak to be detected. Actually, I found out later he didn't have the a water leak detector on him. He kept walking around the house and from a room to another. He lied to me from the time he arrived to the time he left my home. I called Roto-Rooter to complain about Mr. Alexander's behavior and they sent another technician, this time with the leak detector device who said that make nonsense to shutoff the water to detect a leak (Like I thought). Roto-Rooter will never again be in any property I own. Unfortunately 1 star is lowest score I can give, because 1 start is too high. UPDATE: Today I called another company: American Leak Detection. The technician was very knowledgeable and had among his tools a tank of gas which was plugged in a water faucet. Took him 10 minutes to find the leak, which I could hear the bubble noises under the slab without the ear phone. Roto-Rooter guy want to send another technician to check the pool because he was 100% sure there was no leak within the house perimeter so """"it must be in the yard. Incompetents.

Your company did a dry out of my house in August of 2017 the floor had to be ripped up so therefore the furniture in the master bedroom had to be moved. The triple dresser in the master bedroom had to be moved for this to be done. A picture of my oldest son was sitting back of the dresser it was an 18X24 on canvas that they had to have thrown away it was not trash if it could have been replaced the cost would have been in excess of 500.00. I'm just now getting the floor re-done and have been able to run across these things. I'm very upset I don't know what your company can do to make things right. Besides that ya'll ruined half of my house I could never recommend anyone to you, I've used ya'll in the past and have not had any problem until now. Service was quick, They responded within 90 minutes of my phone call. Job (snake a drain) was performed fast and professionally by courteous techs. They were done inside of a half hour..... Wow. I should have have checked online for their pricing! Twice that of the competitors. $338 will practically buy a decent power snake, guys. Not saying RotoRooter doesn't do a great job, just saying they don't do the job twice as good as other plumbers. As far as the higher ratings, it could be a bit skewed by by the fact that R/R has a weekly raffle for a full refund when you write an online review.
