The worst service I have ever received from a plumber. He did not know how to light the pilot light to the hot water heater and after I showed him told me that he wouldn't even know how to order parts for my hot water heater.

A day before company arrived from out of town, my toilets started bubbling. Someone told me it was a vent problem and a big job. I called Rotor Rooter in a state of panic. I was assured they would get to me with the next hour or so and that they would fix the problem today. Sure enough they were here within less than 2 hrs. They plumber Jay, was very friendly and assured me it would be ok. As soon as he saw the water moving he knew it was not a vent problem but a main problem. He explained the price, the problem and what it would take to fix it. He had it snaked and clear in no time I would highly recommend Rotor-Rooter and commend them on having great staff members. Jay was definetly good at what he does and made me feel like we were old friends. Thanks again.

I had a plumbing issue, so called them last night. Demetrius showed up bright and early the next morning. He fixed my plumbing issue and cleaned out the pipes. He was very courteous and polite. I recommend him for anyone needing service.

Ever met someone that managed to get your blood boiling within 5 minutes of meeting them? Well, I met one today, and it was my Roto Rooter technician. Luckily for him, I didn't catch his name. If I had, I would enjoy very much putting him on blast here. But anyway, here's my story *cue law & order bells*. So, I open the door, he mumbles a quick hello and asks me what I need. I say my hot water heater is constantly tripping my breaker. He says what breaker. A bit confused by the question, I just walk him over to it. After no more than 60 seconds of looking at the breaker box and the water heater itself, he says ok it's $197 for troubleshooting and you can apply that if you do a repair. Already being just generally frustrated by the situation, I mutter to myself more than to him, wow by the time we're done I may as well just replace the thing. Keep in mind, the unit is less than a month old so it would be frustrating to have to put any amount of money into it. But it was just more of an idle comment to myself than anything. Well this must have offended him as a """"professional"""", because he looks at me and says """"I DON'T MEAN TO BE RUDE, but what did you expect? 50 bucks for me to DRIVE out here and fix your water heater?"""" Well no sir, I didn't think that at all, but thanks for pointing it out in the most rude way possible. But I let that one go, and before I made any decisions just tried to think of any bit of information that may help in a diagnosis. So him being a """"professional"""" and all, I tried asking him just a couple of general questions, about maybe if something that I know had happened recently could possibly cause the issues I was having. Just really basic stuff, would've taken no more than a minute to answer. But I guess his """"expertise"""" was too valuable to be wasting on me because he looked up at me again and said """"Look, I'M NOT TRYING TO BE RUDE, but I'm not gonna sit here and discuss what may or may not be wrong with it here for free. We're PROFESSIONALS. If you want our opinion, it's $197."""" It was at this point I showed him the door. Don't call us, we'll call you. They should really consider implementing a simple personality test into their hiring process. Nothing special, just enough to determine if he's fit to interact with his own species. This one clearly isn't.

I'd rather spend my money any place other than """"down the drain"""" but if I have to call a plumbing company it will always be Roto-Rooter! I've used them in the past and will continue. Unfortunately, I had a shower fixture break and couldn't repair it myself. Was able to call Roto-Rooter and get service the same day. I spent over an hour trying to fix the problem myself. They arrived 5 hours after I called within the window they promised. The plumber had a great attitude and was able to fix the problem within 2 hours and that included him going to the store to purchase parts. The price was reasonable and they didn't charge any extra for the weekend. I highly recommend this company!

I had been having issues with a clogged shower for about a week now. I started the day with the intention of calling a plumber first thing. Well I got caught up with work and soon forgot about the plumber all together. At 5:45 pm I was finishing up for the day and it dawned on me that I hadn't called a plumber yet. So I scramble around and I landed on the Roto-Rooter serving the Pompano Beach area. Couldn't be happier that I did. Called and the friendly customer service agent made scheduling super easy. Managed to have someone come out that same night at no extra charge. I was given a reasonable window of a few hours in which the tech would be there. Oscar, the tech, was a pleasure to deal with. Very personable and knowledgeable. After a few minutes listening and accessing the issue had a reasonable quote ready. I pointed out that a coupon was online and he has me screenshot it and send it to him so he could process it later at the office even though it was applied immediately. After a quick 15-20 minutes of hard work my shower was unclogged and the area was cleaned up. He explained why the shower was clogged and some tips on how to prevent it in the future. All told it was a great experience and I would recommend this service to anyone. After moving into a newly renovated home we had a backup in our kitchen Calling Roto-Rooter was one of our best decisions in this home. The technician arrived at 6 pm and stayed 4 1/2 hours until he was confident the water could run. about 3 months later the backup reoccurred and they came and cleaned it out again and then brought a camera in to confirm the problem then did a turbo jet clean out. It now works great. Each and every person working for this company goes above and beyond and were so pleasant and professional They stand behind their guarantee and prices are very fair. Would highly recommend them and would certainly advise to make them my first call THANK YOU ROTO-ROOTER

I bought a coupon for plumbing work with Roto-rooter. The plumber that showed up to my house refused to honor it. I was looking for him to work on my garbage disposal. He quoted me an incredibly high price but we eventually agreed to proceed because we needed the work done ASAP. He then grabbed one tool, twisted one piece and the disposal worked. He charged me almost 200$ for 5 minutes of work, did not honor my coupon and tried to offer me services I did not need. This company is dishonest.

Insanity, pure and total insanity. Repairman didn't even look at my heater and said """"That's going to cost you $1500.00."""" Wait! It's for a 30 gallon LowBoy heater in a small condo. He wrote up the estimate as follows: $565 for remove and replace heater; $260 for valve replace; $115 for """"pickup of heater""""...total $940.00 WITHOUT the price of heater included!! RIDICULOUS ESTIMATE. A $400 heater Roto Rooter marks up1.67x to $668.00. Total cost would been $1608.00 BUT WAIT...there might be some more charges depending on the job! BEWARE STAY AWAY DANGER
