First, I am not sure which Roto-Rooter office sent a technician and it may not have been the Hollywood office, but it was a 954 area code number that responded. I asked for a drain clean out as my tenant admitted to flushing tampons. The house is old and the clean out vent is on the roof of the house. The technician said it was against company policy to go on a roof and that he was sure it was the septic tank that needed to be pumped. """"I know a guy who can help you."""" Of course the gentleman I called immediately told me that I might need a new septic tank and drain field (thousands of dollars) Fortunately my brother who was a master plumber told me it was a clog. Next day I had A Alligator snake the drain and out came two tampons. The toilet worked perfectly after that. Always trust a local business.

Horrible Service. I had an appointment setup yesterday between 12-4pm and then My wife got a call at 3pm saying that they were dealing with another matter and couldn't see us till 6-8pm. We then get a text at 6pm saying they are on their way. 7pm rolls around and still nothing so we call and they tell us they are coming from far which seems that it the generic BS line they use. Guy gets here at 7:30pm and he is a nice guy and tells us we need a new faucet. By that time we are running against the clock and we can't do it that day because we have a baby and can't exactly go pick out a faucet on the fly. Guy quotes is $218 for Faucet installation which we think is kinda high, but it is time sensitive and we need it done by no later than tomorrow. The guy is nice and books a morning appointment for us and we go buy the faucet after we secure a sitter. Roto rooter calls and wakes us up at 730am and tells us the plumber will be here in 45 minutes. Almost two hours go by before he gets here. We call to get status after an hour and a half and they told us they were coming from far (same BS). Guy gets here and tells us the same installation that was quoted at $218 and is now $303. He tells us the previous technician is new and quoted the wrong price when they both look from a book and i saw both prices. We tell them this is bait and switch and they are just taking advantage because we need this done within a few hours for a Birthday party. He says he can't do it for the initial price and goes outside to speak to the company. I immediately call another plumber and get a quote for $150 and they will be here in an hour. Don't use these guys! Would give 0 stars if possible.

Plumbing problems are never a good thing but I'm happy to have chosen Roto-Rooter. They've been in biz for as long as I can remember and they have very good ratings on google . I noticed not so high reviews on yelp so I'm here to say my problem was resolved and it didn't break the bank. Plumbing is never cheap so expect $100's. Very happy with the response time, customer service, knowledge and politeness of the 2 employees I dealt with today from the moment I called until the job was complete. Called in around 10am to report a problem. Customer service was very pleasant with a great attitude. She said response time would be 2 hours for our zip code. Our plumber called within 45 minutes. She would be there in 20 minutes. She arrived with covers on her shoes to protect our floors and began discovering our issue and went right to work. It was fixed in about a 1/2 an hour and we were good to go. Pun intended! Lol

Had them come out last September to snake all the drains in my house. 13 months later having issues again. Tech came out said it would be 850 dollars to snake a 2500sq ft house with 3 bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room. I told him about the previous service and he said the system only shows the kitchen sink, so no warranty. OK I said how bout a credit for the 400 already spent. No. So I sent him away. Awful customer service. He said the office would call me to discuss. Still waiting. Called Mr. Rooter, they want $65 to come out and tell me how much they charge. Is it me or is this insanity!!!! For $80 an hour my professional plumber will do it. He said maybe two hours. What the *&%$ is wrong with these rooter companies.

Anthony came out to look at toilet, was told it could be a few hours then got a call saying he could be here in 30mins. he thought it was septic issue but still snaked toilet. Paid and then an hr later the issues started happening again. Called and explained issue they sent someone out to see the issue again,confirmed snaking didn't do anything and the next day got a call about the refund :) super happy! They got my trust for any future issues with plumbing

Angel did a fantastic job with unclogging our kitchen sink. He was pleasant, professional and patient, taking the time to explain to me and my mother how to prevent clogging in the future. His service job on my sink was done well and I no longer have problems using it. Will definitely call them in the future and highly recommend this company and Angel to others. Thank you, Grace.

I called roter rooter to fix a leak in one of my walls and a handle that broke off one of the nozzles under the sink. The plumber got to my house 4 hours late and wasn't able to fix the leak in my wall. He told me he would fix the nozzle if I gave him $60 because roter rooter would charge me to much and then he told me I needed a new faucet. There employees are dishonest and thieves. I will never call roter rooter again they were useless. I went with a smaller company that was able to fix the leak In my wall! Thanks for nothing roter rooter!

I was sorry I called these people.  They showed up hours late (I had unusable toilets and sinks, for petes sake!) and determined they would have to a run a plumbers snake back to the main sewer line.  This took about an hour and I was shocked when the man presented the bill.  The charge was ridiculous for one hours of work and on top of it all they were seriously late showing up. I suggest you think twice about Roto Rooter.

We had a plumber come to our newly purchased house five times to fix our guest shower and toilet that kept backing up before finally calling Roto Rooter. I really wish we had called them sooner because we really had no idea how big the problem was. I was initially hesitant because all you ever hear is how expensive they are but from this experience I've learned they are well worth the money and rely know what they are doing. The prior plumber had pulled out a rag and part of a mom when he snaked the pipes from our roof so I knew something had to be down there. Coincidentally we saw some guys from Roto Rooter at the house across the street and stopped to explain our problem to them. They told us we should have a camera tech send a camera up the pipes and then depending on the situation send a jet up there to clean it out. The only complaint I have about roto rooter is that when I initially made an appointment they told me 3pm and that the tech would call me at 2:30 to let me know if he was on time. Well 2:30 came and went and at 3 I called to find out what was going on only to be informed I actually had a window from 2:30-4:30 so I cancelled and rescheduled for the following day. They called me at 1:45 and said the tech would be there in 45 minutes so I rushed home. A tech didn't arrive until after 5:30 but I guess everything happens for a reason because luckily this tech was able to put the camera up the pipes and fix the whole problem which was much more serious than we ever could have imagined. Turns out since our house was a flop and the pipes hadn't been used in a while a serious amount of calcification and buildup had accumulated which was obstructing our pipe on top of some caulking and more mop pieces. The tech whose name was Alexander Perez stayed at our house until 11:30 last night. He let me watch the whole process by putting the camera back up the pipes multiple times as he went so I could see what he was doing was actually fixing the problem. It wasn't cheap but it could have been worse and the problem is finally fixed and we have two functioning toilets and showers. With five kids we could not be more thankful to Alex and Roto Rooter. I wish we had called them from the get-go.

Do not call these people even if they are the last plumber after a nuclear attack. You could get faster reliable service by watching DYI or plumbing for dummies. There is no communication. They lie through their teeth. They lie about when they will be at your home. They are unprepared. They do not stock anything. Took 3 days to get a condo water heater replaced
