We had a problem with our toilet. Two people came out and nothing got done. The supervisor was not nice to my partner. We will never be using them again and they aren't getting paid either

Called Roto Rooter for service as my bathroom flooded do to a leak in my shower as my drain was clogged. Dispatcher was friendly and sent a technician right away. Unfortunately the technician was not helpful and just proceeded to flush my toilet and tell me he doesn't understand the problem when my floor was clearly wet. He then proceeded to rudely ask me what do I want. (excuse me, you are the professional sir) I just purchased my home and was saddened that a trained plumber could not help me with my drain issue. I explained to him the situation and he complained that the dispatcher did not write the service ticket properly. He then asked if my home was on sewer or septic which is not information I knew readily knew and he got frustrated with me. He then repeatedly told me that I need to pay $800 to perform a leak detection test. I completed the appointment as I wanted a second opinion. He proceeded to tell me multiple times that I need to contact the dispatcher and tell them I changed my mind and wanted to cancel. He even want outside and came back and asked me if I called the office which I dd not do. After he left the dispatcher called to find out what happened and I told her my experience. She apologized and told me his manager would be calling me and to this day I have not heard from anyone. Thankfully my handyman stopped by and identified my drain was clogged. he took apart the drain, cleared the clog and the problem was solved. He felt so bad about my horrible experience with Roto Rooter the he did not charge me. If you are a woman and do not have plumbing knowledge do not call this company as the service techs are rude and condescending. Lastly the company does not seem to care.

This company is a crook and does not do a good job at all. They will damage other items in your house such as walls or windows when they do their water remediation. We had a renter that caused damage due to a blocked toilet. The blockage caused water to back up into the ceiling and ripped a huge hole in our bottom dining room. We had Roto router send out a leak inspector and we waited all day long until 7 PM when they told us that no one would be available that day. I had previously told them that I own the house but I live two hours away and the imbecile girl that who is doing the scheduling and dispatch just couldn't fathom why that was an issue and told me that they could send someone out the next day. Finally after much complaining they sent somebody out and it was an apprentice that ended up not knowing what he was doing at all and ripping a whole double the size of what was there. During the water remediation they used a tape that stuck to my windows and destroyed walls that did not even need to be replaced originally until they touched it. The mold remediation ran up the bill to the sky and everyone else that I told afterwards including several contractors that have done mold remediation told me it was ridiculous what they did and how much they charge for the small area that it was. They also came and 'fixed' a toilet that is still leaking to this day. We have had to call them now three times for the same damn toilet. The manager sounds like he's asleep every time he calls us back when we have complained. I explained all of the above to him and he literally told me 'well what can we do now.' You can compensate me for the windows and walls that you destroyed with your crappy tape, you could actually fix my toilet that I have now called you out twice for , you could try to be a manager. These are things you can do. They flat out don't care at all what they did to our house for the lackluster service they have provided and continue to provide. I wish I would have eaten a bullet before calling these people. Do yourself a favor and go with literally any other company under the sun because they suck so bad you will want to die.

Negative star if possible. I called at 10 am and they took all my information and quoted me a 2 hour window between 12-2pm. They even sent the coi for my condo association and then called be back at 4pm to say that they did not realize it was a condominium and can't come until tomorrow. I have used them for the restaurants that I manage but will never use/recommend them for residential use! Now I wasted my one and only day off a week waiting for them. Very unprofessional!

I do not recommend this company to no one's, please do not hire this company. Stupid employees came to my house for a drain unclogg and doesn't matter what I said he always think he's right, I have a return air conditioner and I said I need 1"""" insulation automatic he jumped in my conversation and said 1 1/4"""", 3 different incidents in that night, a lowlife uneducated he is.

To say I regret using Roto Rooter would be an understatement. If you contact this company, be aware of a sales person named James R. After calling them out to see issues at my house, James lied to my wife and later me in order to upsell us on work we did not need. We had a blockage on our main sewer line, but James told us the sewer line was broken in 2 locations. Being in a desperate situation, we had them move forward with the repairs at a cost of $10,000. We had our sewer line replaced, and all is working now. However, after the work was completed, I received a copy of the video from the inside of the pipe, with commentary. Through the duration of the video, there is no evidence of the pipe being broken, and no commentary speaking about any breaks in the pipe. Even when the pipe was dug up, there was no evidence it was broken prior to being removed from the ground. When I brought this concern to Roto Rooter and escalated so I was no longer dealing with James, a different manager from their company could not explain why we were told our pipe was broken in two locations, and could not point me to any breaks visible on the video they took. Essentially, I just needed the blockage removed, and did not need to have my entire main sewer line replaced as James had said. Since the work had already been completed, they did not work with me on any resolution to my concerns about this. I am now left paying for services I did not need, and because of that it is also not able to be covered by an insurance claim. This company is not trustworthy, I highly recommend seeking out a different company for your plumbing needs.

They are not dependable Do not use this company They sent a plumber the first day and he was suppose to come back the following day but they scheduled someone else and no one showed up They had no plumbers available

Had a water heater explode last night at 2:00 am. Called Roto Rooter and they assured me that a technician will arrive between 8am and 10am. Received a call in the morning and was told no techs were available. I inquired as to why they indicate on the website 24/7 emergency service yet they cannot get someone here. The rep was extremely rude and began to raise their voice. I had to remind them that calls are monitored for quality assurance and the tone settled. The tech arrived and explained that the water heater needed to be replaced. I could purchase it myself or buy via the company but there would be a markup. Knowing that this needs to be done quickly as there was no water in our household and I do not have the proper transportation to load a water heater I accepted to purchase through Roto Rooter. It took an entire day to replace. When presented with the bill I asked for a copy of the receipt for the material and was told the company does not provide a copy. I insisted on taking a picture of the receipt. There it was a 68% markup for the material. The tech, who is more precise after the fact, clarifies he was willing to purchase and transport on my behalf. Really? Why weren't you clear with that at the get go? Who likes spending more than they need? Come on, totally screwed!!!

Lately this company wants to do the week in a less pf couple of hours, they ask for an advance payment without showing up at the property just to compromise the owner of his expensive repairs, I recommend calling local companies that this type of company's that only seeks to take advantage , $775.00 in advance for a leak repair??? Without even knowing what kind of leak??? VERY BAD COMPANY GAVE THEM MANY CALLS BUT NOT ONE MORE!!!
