Recommended Customer Reviews

Roto Rooter scheduled our service in the late evening which was the only time we were available. The plumber they sent, Dwayne, arrived on time, was courteous and knowledgeable. He fixed our issues quickly, even making a run to the local hardware store to find a piece needed for one of the repairs. Overall, very responsive service.

I can't give 5 stars because it took 4 hours to come and I had to call to get a status update. They tech however was very nice and knowledgable. I do appreciate them being able to come the same day though. I would use agin.

Extremely slow kitchen sink drainage had to be addressed to insure the flow of holiday meal preparations. When over the counter liquid solutions and the use of a plunger failed to remedy this situation, I needed professional service. As a renter in a condo unit without referenced maintenance personnel, I contacted Roto Rooter. Online scheduling was efficient. When the two hour window for my appointment drew to a close without the advertised call, I contacted the listed local office number. The dispatcher promised a speedy resolution. The repairman was a well mannered, effective, professional. His immediate perusal indicated the possibility of a malfunctioning garbage disposal unit (GDU) or a line clog in need of a rooter. A verbal quote was given for both procedures but not recorded on the form in need of my signature. The reason given for this was a determination of specified service was required. Within five minutes the diagnosis was a GDU issue. It's jammed status was immediately remedied. It was then the quoted form was completed and preferred payment by check was made. My issue is twofold: customer service and excessive price. I had to contact the office, who immediately acknowledged a scheduled appointment but was uncertain of technician status. Indeed, when my serviceman arrived and was ready to hear my concerns, he received a text that he was to take his lunch break; to which we both chuckled. The charge for a ten minute window of service was $181, which seemed exorbitant. Again I commend the technician for his professional expertise and courtesy. I found the customer service in need of refinement and price inflated to today's marketplace. I would advise extreme caution in use of Roto Rooter for one's purse is rooter in the name of service.

Last Tuesday I called Roto Rooter for a clogged shower, bathtub and toilet; when I asked about pricing, the customer service representative explained that they provide free estimates on site. When the technician came to the house and announced that it will be $375 to use the snake down the shower drain I was shocked! I asked him to call his company so we could talk about their asking rate; he quickly said he could do the job for $289; I had to settle for $250 because I had no choice if I wanted to be able to use my bathroom again. Being temporarily handicapped with a broken ankle and being myself in the house I was literally exhausted to have to use the other bathroom on another floor. The technician spent 30 minutes to do the job. Fee estimates mean nothing if you are going to take advantage of customers who are usually desperate to have the problem fixed; you shouldn't have to bargain the price to get the job done! They should provide you with a fair price at once, this practice is highly dishonest! I called the General Manager the next day but my complain fell on deaf ears. This is what I called awful customer service. Roto Rooter are crooks: stay away from them. I wish I had looked them up on the BBB website before calling them because their rating is horrible. PS: one of my coworker had the same exact job performed the week prior and she only paid $90 with Lindstrom and she did not have to bargain to get that price!

No problems with time of appointment-he was prompt. His work was good to change the kitchen fawcet. Even cleaned up the work area. But I think the labor charge was a bit pricy, But over all rating id good. At least it was done correct the first time.

It seemed that there was no fixed price and that he seemed to give prices """"off the cuff"""" based on how desperate you are and how much he thought he can squeeze your testicles. Also I believe that he way overcharged and he said I could not use the coupon because I was getting a discount!!!! $450 for cleaning out a toilet drain and an adjacent tub drain for one hour of service? Are you guys kidding me???!!! I will never use you guys again and you should know that I am an owner of an apartment bldg. You just lost a potentially good client. I will post this on various sites too.

I lived in an apartment last year and had a huge leak coming from my ceiling in my guest bedroom. Tried seeing what it may be but since I lived on first floor, there wasn't much I could do but see if my neighbors knew anything about it. Long story short I called roto rooter and the guy cuts a square hole in my ceiling. Since the part it was leaking from was a concrete slab, not sheet rock, he could not find the source of the leak. Went to my upstairs neighbors and found nothing. He charges me $450 for a leak search when he didn't even find the leak. If that's not robbery, I don't know what is.

I live in Plantation, FL. I love that you are able to schedule an appointment online. AThey are also available 24 hours! They even call you to let you know when they are on the way. The service technician that came to do the repairs was very friendly and discussed price with me in detail. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because their price mark up on parts is very high.

Called on a Sunday for an active water leak under my sink. Technician Alex responded to my house within 30 minutes and was amazing. He stopped the leak, gave me a quote to fix it, install a new faucet, and completed the job. He was extremely professional and knowledgable. I will always request him.

I originally called RR to have a tech fix the garbage disposal in our company break room. Customer Service sent a tech to us later that same day, Adam W. There have been a few plumbing concerns we have put on the back burner but Adam was great in checking everything out, letting me know our options and provided us with his direct line for prompt service. Adam has since fixed our garbage disposal, men's urinal, women's faucet and break room faucet. He was knowledgeable and didn't take too much time on any of the jobs. I appreciated the fact that he had me take a look at what he was fixing and another look when it was fixed. He didn't a fantastic job and I will ONLY call him for our plumbing needs!
