I needed to have my hot water heater checked since I had no hot water. I called around different plumbers and when I called roto rooter they said it was free to come and give an estimate and then I don't have any obligation after the estimate. I thought that was a great deal plus the $50 off that they offer if I called from yelp. I told her I found them on yelp. The tech came out. They called me to let me know when he was on his way. I really liked that. When he got to my house he looked at my hot water heater and made comments under his breath. Not sure why , then he stated that in order to diagnose the problem he had to cut open the padding that was over the panel. That was fine. Then he made me sign something and said it would cost $189 just to see what was wrong. I said then why do they tell me it's free. He said if I use my tools I'm getting paid. I understand that but I felt like I was fooled. I let him do his testing but let him know I was upset and felt like I was lied to. I then told him forget it put your tools away . He could see I was upset and called me over to explain what he was doing and the process of what he has to test . I let him fix the issue and when it was all said and done I paid $265 for a new lower element and had hot water again. He was apologetic about me being upset and further explained the process. It was nice of him to do however I do feel somewhat lied to. I shouldve asked more questions when I made the appointment. Other plumbers were charging $90 for a service call plus price to fix issue. I never got my $50 off either.

Reasonably priced for plumbing work. Moved and installed new valves for the w/d and installed a bathroom faucet. Prompt service, on time, knowledgeable technician left the home as he found it nice and tidy.

We had all the plumbing in our house backed up and the plumber that came out quickly figured out what he needed to do and got to fixing it quickly. He stayed to make sure that the problem was fixed leaving nothing to change. He was friendly and professional. Thanks!

Charged $1025 for a $489 water heater and some copper piping that was picked up from Home Depot. That was just for the water heater, charged a little over $200/hour for labor on top of that. Beware of price gauging from this company.

Fast service, on a Sunday too. When Nile got there he inspected gave me an accurate estimate. Then got to work. He explained what he was doing, every step of the way. When he got done he showed me the drain with the fiber optic camera showing the whole drain out to the county hook up. GREAT SERVICE will definitely use them again!

I called Roto Rooter last week when another company failed to show up. Basically nothing in my house was draining well including the toilets'. Tech showed up and tried the toilet line to the septic and did not find a clog. Then the supervisor showed up and ran a cameras in one pipe for about 1 min and told me I needed to have some service done that was around $5,000 and could be done that afternoon. I said I needed to think about it and seemed like my grandfather was lecturing me about not doing it right away. I never write bad reviews but I wrong one on google and now yelp as that more I think about it the more upset I get. Not only did they not find the clog but broke the last pipe leading to the septic. So I paid $700 + to get a lecture and a broken pipe that I will now have to replace. A guy did call me the next day to say sorry. I would think that a company this big would want to refund this crazy about of money when they actually did more damage then good. I'm in sales and I know our company would not accept this money as it is just not right. Sadly after they left I called a friend of mine( not a Plummer) and said to check from the roof. With my everyday person tools and pluming education the clog was fixed in about 5 minutes. DO NOT USE ROTO ROOTERS. Call anyone else in town.

We have been having some problems with our whole house sewer line and finally had to bite the bullet and get a camera in there to see what was happening. Demitrius (I gave his card to my husband, so I might have his name wrong. Clean, good-looking Greek young man) came and was AMAZING!! OH MY GOD. He spent about 5 hours with me, mapping the plumbing to the entire house to be sure the problem we have is what we thought we had. He was courteous, funny, hard-working, and put up with my incessant questions. We are likely looking at a major repair and need to do some research. He was able to solve my immediate problem of the blocked pipe, gave me some great advice on things we should NOT be doing (that we were) that could ultimately put us in an emergency situation. I was skeptical when my husband told me he called Roto-Rooter - thinking I'd get some disengaged tech who really didn't care and might not be very knowledgeable. Boy was I wrong!! I highly recommend them. And I like the fact that if you have a problem in what others would consider """"off hours"""" (we didn't but still) they don't charge a premium for coming out on a weekend. The only sad part is that I didn't yelp them first and didn't get the $50 off - it was a pricey visit, too! But it was worth it.

On a house I had two years one end of the house was not draining from one side of the house. I called Roto Rooter and I should have known better when I asked the question about how their fees worked and they would not tell me over the phone. One guy came out an hour later than they said and told me to rooter the house up to 100 feet would cost me about $380, I thought that was a bit expensive but my wife was looking at me and could not do the dishes or laundry so I said OK. They guy that came out tried for about 4 hours to clear the pipes and was unsuccessful, I have to give him credit he really tried. I was then told they need to bring out a camera and a another piece of equipment and that the maximum charge was now $880 / $440 an hour for 2 hours. It took them about an hour to clear the pipes with a pressure washer and a fitting on the end of it that cleaned the pipes. My issues: 1. I should have been told some idea of fee structures before they came out, not after. If I had known $380 up front to rooter the pipes up to 100 feet over the phone I would not have proceeded initially. This I think is deceptive and I think this is done on purpose.. 2. The first guy should have had the equipment to do the job. I had to pay extra to have another guy come out and clear the pipes as the first guy simply did not have the equipment with him. Just about all plumbers now come with cameras, this is not an exception. To run a pressure washer fitting up the pipes for $880 with a camera is a bit much. 3. I was told 2 hours maximum at $440 an hour, more than my lawyers make, it took less then 2 hours to clear the pipes, actual work time about an hour. I would say 2 hours if you include that the guy that came out got lost and could not find he house and I was charged for his travel time as well. Best I can say is that they got it done, but I would not use them again. Too expensive, they do not come with the proper equipment to complete the job the first time which I would have expected..

Was quoted a 2-4 window. Called at 4:30 and was told they would try to get to us today but no guarantees. Then at 5 the tech shows up and quotes a ridiculous $450 plus price for snaking one line (sink, not even toilets!) out to a clean out less than 10' from the p-trap. Robbery at its finest with atrocious customer service.
