Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Our kitchen sink was overflowing and not draining so we called them. They came within the hour. Cleaned out all our pipes apparently had a blockage of about 15 to 20 feet which is ridiculously crazy but it was a rental so I understand. We definitely would use again. Hopefully never have another issue! Service was great and quick.

I knew that when we called Roto Rooter for service it was going to cost a fortune but if they did a good job it would be worth it. Anyway we had to get one of the flaps in the water tank of one of our toilets replaced. It seemed that my husband and I could've figured it out ourselves by turning off the water in that toilet and looking at you tube videos which we did. However the knob wasn't working so rather than messing up on something that could cost a lot of money on something we weren't experts in we had to call the plumber. We received a call in advance that the plumber was on his way and he arrived promptly. He walked around the house and gave us an estimate which came out to almost $300. We were not too thrilled but knew we had to do it. The plumber said he had to charge us for one hour labor...my husband asked if he can fix the other flaps in the other two toilets as well but the plumber said no but didn't really explain why not. My husband is a very easygoing person so he didn't push it. The plumber left to get a part at Home Depot but mind you Home Depot is less than 2 miles from our house. He came back an hour later! As soon as he finished we paid him. The plumber told my husband that he could've charged us more but didn't...that pissed my husband off and we called Roto Rooter later on in the day. We told them that the guy they sent only wanted to do 2 out of the 3 flaps. Roto Rooter said that was strange and he could have changed the 3rd flap since it merely takes minutes to change each flap. But Roto Rooter never did anything after we told them. Yes the job was done but we weren't too thrilled with the service and will not be using this company for a very long time.

I cannot explain the relief I feel right now. I had an emergency plumbing issue that came to a head today. Granted, this issue has been ongoing for a while and I already paid a lot to resolve the issue, only for it to return. When I realized that I had to pay more than I had budgeted I nearly cried knowing that I did not have any working toilets in my house and I did not have any additional money to pay. LET ME TELL YOU!!!! Steven Santiago and Jeff came to my house and Steven (OMG... ) he bent backwards to talk to my landlord and provide a fair quote so that I can have working toilets. My landlord agreed to pay for the services after speaking with Steven and I nearly dropped because my landlord is not that easy to come around when it comes to paying for quality house maintenance. There is no words in the English language that can explain my full gratitude for both Steven and Jeff, but mostly Steven Santiago (manager). I'm so grateful, and blessed! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!! I send eternal positive vibes to you!

Called for service 4/4/2019 because of the cold water in the bathroom tub was barely coming out. A plumber came out and I showed him the problem and he immediately diagnosed the issue as replacing the cartridge. Then he gave me a variable price of around $300 plus parts but he didn't know how much the part was and needed to go to the store to buy it before giving me the final price. He asked for me to sign off on that job before I had a final price. I declined and told him that I wanted the final price first so he went to the store and purchased the cartridge. The final price was $385 I told him to go ahead and do the work. An hour later he is complete and cuts on the shower and that cold water was still barely coming out. So he takes it all apart again and looks inside of the shower and sees rocks and said this is the problem. So I say so you didn't need to replace the cartridge that you are charging me $385. After going back and forth for a while about the real cause of the cold water issue. He flushes the line, picks out some rocks with a tool, and puts everything back together again. The cold water is still barely coming out and 4 hours later he tells me that they are going to have to cut open the wall, cut the pipes to get the rocks out, and that would cost additional $700. So at this point, I didn't trust him so I declined and decided to go with another company. I got another company to come out, they correctly diagnose the issue (which was replacing the shower entire shower valve), and fixed it. So the summary is I wasted 4 hours, paid $385, and they didn't even fix the issue. Their prices are inflated and you still have to pay even when they are wrong.

If I could go less than 1 star, I would. We used them quite a while back and made a note not to use them again. We couldn't remember why, but saw that they had high ratings here and on Angies List. I replaced our kitchen faucet and found that the hot water wouldn't flow. In my experience, that meant that the valve coming out of the wall was bad. In spite of prior experience and taking reviews into consideration, I called and they said they'd be here between 2 & 4. At 2:43 they called & said he'd be here in 1/2 hr. I called at 3:45 and was told he would be there in 10 minutes. He showed up while I was on the phone with a supervisor at 4:20. I told him what the issue was and it turns out that he was not equipped and could not do repairs on copper pipe. That sounded odd to me since I thought all plumbers knew how to work with the various materials. Bottom line, they couldn't promise a guy (who was evidently the only person who knew how to work with copper pipe) here until after our bedtime tonight or at the earliest 11 am tomorrow. Since their record was so poor, we decided again to call someone else. Copper pipe has been used in homes for well over 40 years. It's unfathomable that someone who is supposed to be a plumber is not equipped to nor able to or be equipped to work with copper. Top to bottom, these folks aren't able to help you when you need it.

So overpriced it's like you are paying for their truck each time they show up. Just for knocking on your door they charge you.

I've had someone come before to look at my kitchen sink and said just to pour clorox down the drain and it should fix the problem of why the water went down so slow. Well that didn't work. I decided to call Roto-Rooter. They were at my home within the hour, diagnosed the problem, and fixed my drain quickly. My wife is happy so I am happy. This is my only plumber I call. I have had plumbers come and guess diagnosis and end up taking all day and leaving me disappointed. Roto a rooter Orlando gave me a free estimate did a correct diagnosis and finished in good time, no surprises. Being a military retire I hate companies that play games and up sale me. These guys are true to their word and are reliable! Thank you Airborne!!!!

Michael (#3119) called before he came; arrived on time; very professional and informative. Quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me two choices to solve it. House was built in 1971. I choose the more expensive but more through clean out for the drain and afterwards watched the results on camera. Comes with a 3 month warranty and a year's worth of enzyme maintenance. Excellent service. I had been warned off national franchises but in this case it was the very best choice. Excellent work, fast, and reasonable cost especially for a weekend. Highly recommend.
