had a blockage somewhere with wster spilling over toilet so called them out. I was told the toilet needed removing, shaking and quoted 750 dollars which is absolute theft I ssid thanks but no thanks, called a local company who quoted 149 but upon coming they said the problem was small, pulled some hair and toilet paper out without hassle in 5 min and they charged 29 dollars. seriously you should be ashamed of yourself. I offweed to pay 250 and your tech laughed and walked off. he was impolite. thank Gos though as that move saved me a fortune. an honest job brings you more
Crooks! We called for a plumber due to a water leak but they instead sent someone out to put fans in my house which is not what I requested. The salesman assured me insurance would pay for it but they did not. We received a bill for $4,500!! Joshua Martinez eventually came to the house to look around for himself to verify the damage wasn't nearly the way it was described in their paperwork. Joshua never followed up like he said he would and simply documented that """" I wasn't going to pay anything"""". The techs even told me they installed the fans wrong when they returned a few days later which caused more charges. Very unethical company that tried to place a lien on my house for services I did not request. FYI the plumber never showed up. STAY AWAY!!!!
Had a Pipe leak in my walls. Roto-Rooter fixed the issue but had an issue with communication and left lots of damage. After the mold mitigation was completed I didn't hear from anyone after that for a week or two. After a few weeks the tech that had visited texted me late one Saturday and said """"Hey, you're on the schedule for tomorrow morning to start the drywall removal."""" Not asking if I'm free, told me I was scheduled. I told him I hadn't heard from my insurance company. He never responded to my text. No one came the next day, on Sunday. My Insurance said they hadn't before but they agreed to once I called since there was still actively mold in my bedroom. I texted the tech and told him they had approved the work and asked when they would want to come start. He said """"Ok"""" and that was the last time I heard from him. The next day I got a text from my roommates at 2PM (While I was at work) that 3 Roto-Rooter employees were at the house with trucks asking to access my bathroom. No one confirmed a time/date beforehand or called me when they were on the way. They just showed up expecting to work. I had to leave work immediately to go home in order to meet them. Unfortunately, my roommates let them into my room to begin work when I was on my way home. The Roto-Rooter techs said that they would need to remove all of the bottom section of my whole closet, not just the one wall the pipe was leaking in and that all my personal items that were pushed to the side needed to be moved. They moved all my personal belongings from my closet without my permission, instead of waiting 20 minutes for me to get home. These items included all of my clothes, 2 guns handed down to me from my grandfather, three 8-foot delicate model swords, and many other personal items. When I got home I found all of my stuff from my closet in my living room. One of my swords is broken now and was $300. My whole bathroom was sealed off with sheeted plastic. Since I wasn't home when they started, I was not able to access anything that was in my bathroom. All of my toiletries were walled off by plastic and I had to go to Walmart late that night and buy a whole new set of items because I was not home before they started. The next day 2 more employees showed up (Again, without calling or texting beforehand). When they brought fans into my home, they used the garage door and brought them in through the kitchen. They were not careful in the process and they caused 2 huge scratches in my stainless steel refrigerator and multiple small scuffs on the wall before my closet. They were gone before I got home from work. After this visit I asked the employees to please at least text me when they are on their way over so I could make sure I was home from work (I had asked multiple times before but was stern about making a point that it needed to be done before they show up from here on out). They said they would try. They texted me about 1/3 the time before showing up. One time an employee texted me at 10:30PM asking if he could come that night and check on my closet. Another day 2 techs showed up Sunday morning at 10AM without asking beforehand expecting to work on the """"job site"""" aka my bathroom. Upon the equipment removal I found that the techs used a staple gun in my ceiling to secure the plastic tarp. They only yanked the plastic down, and as such there are still staples all over the ceiling in my bathroom and closet. They also used painters tape as well as staples, and when they yanked the plastic down it ripped out portions of the popcorn ceiling. Roto-Rooter indicated that they would reduce my overall invoice by just under $300.00 to help reimburse me for the damages they had left me. It is now over a month after they have been paid and they have no intention of following through on their word. Overall mediocre repair/restoration, almost no communication or common sense in respecting a homeowner with scheduling. Intentionally will mislead with what they promise and not follow up or quality of care once they're paid. Avoid at all costs.
Ericka L.Quick response , easy quick scheduling. Technician was friendly and knowledgeable. Pricing chart easy to understand . Not cheap but you pay for what you get
Heather O.Contacted Roto-Rooter due to possible pipe break and they sent a tech out. When the tech came out, he had no way of looking at my pipes since he didn't have a camera. He contacted a co-worker and said he would be out between 330-530PM if that is OK, said that was fine. Never showed up, so I called and the rep. was just rude. She didn't apologize and said she couldn't do anything that day. Didn't call until the following afternoon to try to re-reschedule. Thank goodness, someone had already come out and fixed our problem as they truly don't care.
Joni R.This morning I noticed a water leak in one of my lights. I called roto-rooter and scheduled a service technician to come repair the leak. Upon arrival, he asked me what the problem was and once I told him, he became very agitated and rudely informed me that """"ill have to get someone else to come out to take a look at it"""" while walking back to the door. This left me very confused, so I asked him if there was a problem. He replied that the dogs were his problem. There were no dogs in the house. I informed him that my two dogs were at my parents house. His response: """"it smells like dogs in here, you dont smell that?"""" I keep a very tidy home, and regularly wash the floors and vacuum the carpet to ensure my house is a plesent environment for all who enter. My dogs are house trained, and bathed regularly. Everyone who has pets knows that at times there can be a slight aroma of dogs, however, my house is not one where there is a strong odor of a dirty dog, or dog pee. The behavior in which this technician treated me was belittling and beyond rude. If this man had a strong dog allergy, he could have informed me of that and I would have completely understood. However, that was not the case. As he stormed out of my house, I asked him if he planned to send another technician out to repair the leak. He didn't provide any answers and just left without giving me any instructions on next steps. I have owned my home for several years, and have never once encountered a repair technician who treated me so poorly. I've also never had anyone tell me that my house smelled like dogs. It is extremely disappointing to call a company for an emergency repair, only to have someone show up who doesn't even attempt to solve the problem or give an alternate solution if they can't help. And, on top of being unhelpful, being disrespectful to a homeowner is simply bad business. There are many choices in the area when it comes to water leak repairs, and I know I'll never spend my money at roto-rooter.
Called to get someone out to do some plumbing in my condo. They set an appointment twice and failed to show up both times. Useless company.
They scanned my lines and created a video. I was told to just """"call the office"""" and they would send it to me. I've tried for four months to get someone on the phone, left endless messages with my request and nothing. Game players who just do not care.
Gina L.Called roto rooter for backed up toilet, they arrived on time and promptly. Chance did a great job servicing us, gave us a fair price and definitely will recommend him to others in the future. Thanks again for helping us oiChance!
After a sewer pipe unclogging, Roto Rooter rep determined I had a bellied sewer line. He provided me a proposal that was reviewed and approved which I then accepted and signed. Later that same day I called, scheduled and provided debit card info for half the total. Five days later another rep called me. He told me that previous rep is no longer with their company and the signed proposal is not good. If I still want to have the work done, it would be double the amount previously quoted. The amount I arranged to pay was not processed as arranged. Roto Rooter just dropped out of a signed contract without me signing off on it as specified in their contract.
