Horrible business to use. I was speaking with 3 different people at various times trying to figure out who I was suppose to instruct to take out the remainder of my floor and who was fixing my bellied pipe. I instructed a RR employee day 1 that all the floor should be removed due to water damage and the RR employee even said """"Yes, not a problem. All of the wood needs to come off since it will be impossible to match."""" To my surprise I come home to wood still being in my house except for where the water damage occured. Call the RR employee that told me it would all be removed and he says that is not his side of the business. My thinking process is that he is a RR employee so he should of relayed the message atleast. I call another guy from RR and ask him what happened and he gives me an attitude after I express my unhappiness to a uncompleted job. I instruct the guy to finish the job and he says okay but never came back to my house. I ended up having to remove the rest of the floor myself. They also tried to send a guy over to my house at 10 pm to pick up equipment while I was not home. I instructed the guy that I had friends from out of town over and that I didnt want a stranger in my house with their belongings there and that I never recieved a call and/or informed of when they were going to pick up the equipment, I told that guy sorry but that guy gave me attitude because he was upset that he drove all the way to my house and I would not allow him in my gate. They dont care about the quality of service they give at all. My situation cost about 6000 altogether and for that price I would think a follow up call from someone asking how the service went but nothing.

sub-stand work I called them to fix a problem of the toilet backing up into the tub a rather serious issue so first they came out and installed a clean out which they put in crooked and to high when that did not fix the problem they came in and cam it from the toilet and found the old cast iron had collapsed and they said it had to be replaced which was fine but when asking them to cam from the clean out they refused and thus caused over a 1000 dollars of damage and an extra day of labor on replacing perfectly good 4 inch schedule 40 PVC pile with 4 inch schedule 40 PVC pipe which was completely unnecessary. and they made a mess of my walls which need to be sanded and repainted they left due to concrete fingerprints on the wall which cost me an extra 200 dollars all of this is still unresolved after a few years so will I ever recommended or consider them hell no in i warn people about them

Good customer service. The plumber arrived within two hours. We had kind of an emergency situation. The gentleman who was fixing our pipes was extremely helpful and very nice. We are very satisfied with the service. Thank you!

This was the worst costumer service I have ever experienced. They showed up greater than three hours after the stated time and the individuals on the phone were incredibly rude. They told me they would be there within the hour, but when I called they hadn't even dispatched someone several hours after the call. I will never use this company again.

My toilet was being weird. Flushing but not flushing. So I went online and booked an appointment on RotoRooter's website. I was able to select the time frame I wanted them to come. They offer 24 hour service so I could have asked them to come in the middle of the night but I decided to wait until the next morning. I got two email confirmations of my appointment time and when my plans changed I was able to call and move my appointment up. The company called when they were sending the plumber out and he called a few minutes later to get directions. He arrived within the time window I was given, just barely but still within the window. He laid out my options and said he would start with snaking the line. He had a better word for it than that but you get the idea. After about 5 minutes, the toilet was clear and working properly. He tried to sell me a enzyme solution for $58, I declined. The service cost $167.00. I used the coupon on Yelp and got $50 off but it was still $117.00. That seems like a lot of money to me for a simple plugged toilet. I know plumbing is dirty work and I did end up cleaning up after the plumber left. There was dirt and gunk left in the bathroom around the toilet and on the floor. I can also see where the inside of the toilet was scratched from the snake. It's not really a big deal but FYI. Overall, I was happy with the customer service on the front end. So-so with the service I received and meh with the value. I will probably be looking elsewhere unless I am in a bind and really need a 24 hour a day plumber.

Dave came right on time. He solved my horrible main drain problem. It does not get any better than this. Great service and even told me to print out a coupon that saved me $50.00. Thank you Dave from Rotor Rooter!

I've been very impressed with the service I've received from Roto-Rooter. I've had them come out to my home several times to check on plumbing problems, and they have solved all problems promptly and professionally. They always arrive in the agreed-upon window of time, and they are respectful of our time and schedules in setting appointments. While they are not the cheapest plumber in town, the work has always been great and the plumbers have been extremely knowledgeable. At my last service appointment, the plumber took the time to explain several options to my husband and I, then respectfully offered his opinion on the options. His preferred option was not the most expensive, and he had good logic for the recommendation, which I appreciated. I will definitely use Roto-Rooter again in the future.

I called RotoRooter because they were a big name business. I will never, ever be calling again and I will be posting this review everywhere I can find that has any requests for review about this business. I started out calling the business at about 7:30pm on 3/11/2013. I think her name was Kaitlyn? Regardless, she was incredibly rude. She refused flatly to give me an estimated price (even though the technician came and told me that they have a book that has all the prices in it). She refused to tell me how much it would be to have someone come out and look at it. When she asked what happened and I began explaining, she cut me off and began talking over me. I had to ask her to please stop talking so that I could finish telling her what was wrong. I had not turned my water off all the way when I tried to change the hot-cold water on/off in my bathtub. The pressure from the water blew off the little pieces and I had to run out and turn the water off the rest of the way outside. I had to prompt her again and again to try and find an approximate price and finally had to throw out random numbers. Was it going to cost a thousand dollars? Would it be between $50 and $200? She stopped me there and said """"Yes, it will be between $50 and $200, let's go with that"""", and I said okay. I attempted to put it back together myself but was unable to figure it out immediately. So I called the professionals. The girl told me that the technician would be there within the hour and the highlight of this visit was that it only took him twenty minutes to get my house -- his name was Mark and he was very nice! He climbed into my tub and took a look at what happened, I had to explain it to him several times because he didn't seem to understand what had happened or that I was trying to change the hardware. But we did eventually get it straight and he looked it over a bit more and took it back apart (I had, in the twenty minutes it took him to get there, figured out how to put it back together-- Youtube!-- but it leaked) to check it out. I asked him how much it would cost to have him put it back together (I had all the parts, didn't need any parts, I just needed him to put it back together) and he told me it would be $199 to put it back together. When I told him that I thought that was way too much, that I would just go back to YouTube and do it myself, Mark told me that he was just doing as he was told and he showed me the text on his cell phone that the dispatcher (Kaitlyn, I think was her name) had sent him. It said """"She took apart shower and can't get it back together. Book Price."""", now I'm assuming that they will do things cheaper if they need to, but because this lady and I got into a tift on the phone, she was going to be slick and try to screw me over by making me pay the 'max' that she possibly could. I told Mark that it was okay, he didn't make the prices, that I wasn't upset at him or anything and that I really appreciated his coming out here and checking it out, but that I would do it myself. So Mark said okay, then started trying to put it back together (since he had taken it apart from the way I had put it back together) and couldn't figure it out. He kept trying to put the wrong pieces in the wrong place, he couldn't figure out which way things went in, that certain things fit into certain groves, and he forgot an entire piece as he just shoved the thing back the way he thought it went. I told him to please just stop, that I was just going to take it back apart when he left and fix it myself. I had to ask him three times to stop -- I think maybe he was trying to get it back together so that he could then say he 'fixed' it and charge me for the service. Thankfully, I was able to stop him before he got it anymore 'together' and took the main piece so he couldn't finish the 'repair' and told him I'd do it myself. He said alright and he left the house. He was really very nice about it, I understand he was only trying to do his job as RotoRooter instructs him. So, he leaves the house and not two minutes later, my phone rings. It's the girl, Kaitlyn, who I had called the first time and she says: """"Hi, this is Kaitlyn from RotoRooter."""" And I say, """"Oh, hello."""" And she replies with. """"My service man just called me and said that you refused the repair."""" I replied, """"Yes, that's true. I'm going to fix it myself."""" And she says: """"So you like to just randomly call up plumbers and demand that they come out at seven thirty every night?"""" I said """"Thank you very much"""" and hung up on her. I will never, ever use RotoRooter again.
