I called Roto Rooter because my washing machine backed up and overflowed due to a clogged drain. The technician called before she arrived, and came out during the 8am to 10am window. She was on time, friendly, courteous and professional. She showed me a quote before she started the job. The amount I paid was the same as the quote. The technician also told me the work was guaranteed for six months, and left her direct phone number in case of any further problems.

I probably could have paid a less for the service from a private contractor, but I called Roto Rooter because I didn't want to have to screen plumbers, and worry about license and insurance, and etc. I trusted the Roto Rooter name to provide a professional and knowledgeable technician, and that's exactly who showed up.

I am very pleased with Roto Rooter and would highly recommend them.

I consider myself a pretty good handyman when it comes to my own home, however, plumbing just isn't my bag. When we had a big issue with a toilet back up, I called the only one's I knew could handle it! Roto-Rooter made it easy, I received 3 call backs confirming they had my service request in and updates on where the service tech was. When Dave, the service tech arrived, he was professional yet very friendly and told me exactly what was going on, gave me the estimate and went to work! In no time our problem was solved! I can not recommend Roto-Rooter enough!

Our Toilet & Shower Line was stuck & Overflowing, so I called Roto Rooter for them to come over that day, instead of a few days, to check & clean out the Toilet. They came, explained their procedure & went to work to solve the problem. After the unclogging, he discovered other issues related to the clogging; So, he informed us about it before proceeding, & we let him do his thing. He was professional, courteous , & informative.

Called Roto-Rooter because of a clogged pipe (feeding too much expired salad down the waste disposal without enough water is a no,no!).
It was a very positive experience. The agent booking the appointment gave me a 2-hour window for when to expect the technician. Another agent called 15 minutes later to give me the name of the tech and to let me know his ETA was 30 minutes.
Upon arriving he was very courteous. Explained what he found and how he would remedy the problem. Before getting started he told me the estimate. After signing he got right to work.
It was an expensive lesson for my significant other because it was an unexpected expense but it is what it is. I'm just glad I'm not in the dog house because I didn't cause it.
I have a 6-month guarantee to come back and fix the problem if it occurs again (free of charge) so I'm satisfied.
(Reside in Stratford, CT but can't figure out how to update this and it's Saturday night. I want to do other stuff.)

Scheduled appointment to snake shower. Would not provide an estimate over the phone. Told the price was a fixed ~$450 when they arrived.

I asked the service tech to leave and he did. Waste of his time and mine. I would not call again. Local plumber fixed for $150.

This is why I call Roto Rooter for certain issues instead of a plumber. Called at 4:50 on a clogged toilet that 3 hours of plunging couldn't fix. They said they'd have somebody out between 5:00 and 7:00. Rep came at 6:00 and clog was fixed in 15 minutes. If I called a plumber, the best I would be able to get is next day with a 4 hour window. Over the years we have had problems with our line to the street. This time, when I called, Penny arrived in less than an hour. She tried valiantly, but was unable to clear the roots. Yes, the next step was jetting the line which cost more, but each step of the way I was shown the line from the camera they had in it. I saw clean pipe, and I also saw that the pipe was broken--I could see not only tree roots, but stones and dirt. Yes, part of the pipe needed to be repaired--it was clear. The manager was called and came out to the property. The house is old--the pipe was clearly broken--no one was pulling the wool over our eyes. I can't thank Penny, Zachary, Mike and the others for a great effort. Our experience was top notch!

Great service! Came on time and diagnosed problem quickly. Penney the technician was wonderful and helped with all our questions. Left us with estimate for replacing our sewer line with no added pressure.
