Wow, this company has crappy reviews but were the only ones to answer an after hours emergency. The tech came out within the window they provided, his name is Kelly, and he did an outstanding job. Thank you Kelly and R-R!!!

What an awful company with awful (non-existent) service. My husband waited over 5 hours for roto-rooter to show up within the 4-hour window. At the end of the window, we got a call from the out-of-state dispatch telling us the tech would be late, but they didn't know when. They were supposed to clean the sewer line for a property we were selling. When asked if they would scope and send us a video of the cleaned sewer (which was required by the buyers), they told us they couldn't do that because of ""liability"". What?!? Liability as in proof that they DIDN'T do the job they were paid for.
I would give them ZERO start if possible. Don't call them. Worst ever.

Do not use them. I have exactly the same complaints as the other reviewers. They are phenomenallily expensive and won't tell you what they charge until after you've waited for them to come for days. It's a tactic to make you feel powerless. I learned my lesson and will never call them again. Not even one star.

This company is unprofessional and unreliable. They deserve a 0 star review.
I called them on a Sat at 12 pm with a big emergency. All the pipes at my business freezed up and exploded. There was water was everywhere!
I called these people and they told me that the soonest they could come was at 5 pm, but if they have any cancellation they might come earlier.
They called me at 8 pm and said the next plumber would be not be able to come until Tuesday! We lost the whole day waiting for them without a call and thinking I was in good hands. I wasn't!
This company doesn't deserve any business. Never again calling them. it looks like they don't need regular customers anyways...

They rescheduled so much we went with someone else. They gave us a 4 hour window and at our first scheduled appt it was an hour outside of that window with no ETA so we rescheduled for the following day. Same issue, they missed the 4 hour window with no ETA. After we rescheduled again and the same issue occurred we decided to go with another company that was able to come within an hour. I should mention that they confirmed the time window each morning and still could not accommodate us.

I just wanted to add that NO ONE should use this company ever. They are thieves that caused a huge problem! I called them in Nov. of 2005. We needed our drain cleaned out and they had two guys come out. After they kept taking smoke breaks and stinking up my air, I finally said I have to get to work, here's my credit card. They said they would finish it up. When I came home, the sewer was still clogged and they had cut their line and left it to further clog my pipes. They charged my Discover card $500. I had to pay another company Drain-Away to come out and get the clogged line plus install a clean-out. I would not have had to pay extra for a clean out if I would have had Drain-Away from the beginning. Drain-Away understands that the older neighborhood homes have smaller pipes and it requires smaller jaws on the cable. If only I would have known from the beginning. After this disaster, I looked up this company on the internet and found that they have a lean against them as well.

DO NOT USE. These guys will clear you out... Of money and patience. They broke a camera in our pipes, by literally cutting it, then charged us for the broken cam. They were trying to be nice, but continued to say they were not being paid enough. We also had to pay for another technician to come in and help, double time. Before he left we grabbed towels to help him clean it up, but instead he said, ""no, I don't clean up, you're not paying for that service"". We had mud and feces all over our floor from them pulling out the camera 8 hours later. They laughed at our expense and made it clear we were inferior to them. Not fun.

After 21 years in a now 44 year old home, I had the sewer back up through a basement drain. Never a problem before. Not knowing a good plumber, I called RR, since I had seen their ad's on TV. It was about 10pm on the day before Memorial Day but they advertized 24/7 service with no extra charge for out of hours service. I got the national dispatch who said someone could come out between 10 and 12 am the next day. OK. They said they do not give estimates for cleaning the sewer line until they arrive at the site. OK, I figure I'm not going to get help any sooner, so OK.

He arrived the next day within the time window, and told me that it would be $279 to clean out the line. I told him that I was expecting it to be less. (I had seen on the web that the average charge in my area was about $150. I also had seen a coupon from RR for $50 off a line cleaning.) I told him to go ahead. He did his job and told me that it felt like there was an off-set between two pieces of pipe that I needed to get fixed. Otherwise, the sewage would wash the dirt out from underneath the line and it would sag even more. He said he could get a guy out that afternoon to video the line. I asked him how much that would cost and he answered $250. But he would give me $100 off that price if I would order it today. I told him OK. Then he said that I might as well pay for the the video service while paying for the cleaning so that I would be sure of getting the $100 off. So all together I payed $329.

About an hour later, the new guy called me and said that he was really backed up and asked me if it would be all right if he came tomorrow (the day after Memorial Day.) I said that would be OK. The next day he came out and I watched him video the line. There was a spot where the line staged for 5-6 feet to the point the line was filled with water. There were no places where the pipe was offset from itself. He told me that the whole line needed to be replace and it would cost $13,000. I said that would try to find that much money. He said that If I was going to sell my home in the next year or so, I could just have the line within my yard replaced for $6,000 and that would fix the worst part of the line. The line under the sidewalk might last for another five years, but I should really replace the whole thing. I asked how long was their warranty. He said that it was 20 years if they replaced the whole line, but it would only be 10 years if they just replaced the part in the yard. But he then said, ""To tell you the truth, if any thing is going to go wrong, it will happen in the first year."" He indicated that I should have the line fixed as soon as possible before it clogged again. He could have a crew out the next day and they could finish the job that same day.

I asked for a written quote and decided to get other estimates.

The first plumber's secretary said the could come out and give me a free quote in about a week. That would include a free line video.

The next plumber called me back and asked me about the condition of my line. I described the problems that RR identified. To summarize his remarks: Those crooks, I always get called in after them. They've said the line needs replaced when it doesn't. Your line should be fine given its condition.

The third plumber said that replacing the line was kind of extreme after just one backup. You could pay for a lot of annual clean outs, for the cost of replacing the line.

Note, most plumbers in the area offer to do a clean out for $100-150.

After considering the events, I have decided to never do business with RR again.

You can make up your own mind.
