Joseph came to our house in Palm desert. Excellent on customer service.
He asked us questions and told us problem in 20 minutes.
The drain was plugged for over a year.
Took something off the back of pipe and away went the trouble down the drain.

They gave me a quote of $3500 for the simple replacement of a residential hot water heater in Palm Springs, but then told my tenant that the actual price would have been closer to $4200 if I had agreed to the install. Got it done through Home Depot and their sub-contractor, All Star Water Heaters, for $2000.

I was so surprised when Fernando arrived to solve our plumbing problem. He was clean, neat and very professional. He also brought his own towels and cleaning cloths.and buckets. Solved our problem and a few others, cleaned up the mess and left the kitchen area and under the sink spotless in under an hour. What a pleasant experience to deal with such a gentleman. He explained what he was going to do and why. We will definitely call him again and hope others that read our review will too. We called several other Plumbers but they could not get to us for several days. Roto-Rooter came the same day we called for service. ""Thank You"" Fernando and Roto-Rooter!!

Daniel and David went above and beyond on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to fix a mysterious leak that was caused by another plumbing company. Highly recommend. Their customer service was top-notch, they took care of our home, and we're extremely professional.

In the depths of the pandemic my garbage disposal sprang a leak. I called the plumber who installed it 5 years before and he had gone out of business. I called two others who put me out 2+ weeks. I called Roto Rooter and they arrived same day and installed the replacement part the next day. I have called them twice more since then for different issues including today and they arrived same day, fixed the problem professionally, charged a reasonable price and gave me a 6-month warrantee. No contest.

In 2021 Roto Rooter of Desert Hot Springs performed a repair (replaced approx 7 ft. of galvanized pipe and fittings under ground) on the gas line to my pool heater. Two days and $3,500. In 2022, the gas line from the meter to the fireplace (approx 10 ft) of which a portion was through the concrete slab of the garage. Three days and $5,200. We had used this company many times for issues in a mobile home park (septic tank) and were quite satisfied. I guess you could say we knew what we were getting into. In both situations I felt that the costs were very high. I wanted RR to do the fireplace job because they were familiar with my home and situation. However, in this single-family home situation, I feel like the estimates were extremely vague with no real information on them except for the total cost. $250 and hour and two hour minimum to perform a leak test when job was completed. The leak test would have to be performed no matter because there was a repair made. This, in my opinion, is very extreme and inappropriate.

Spent three days with liars from the office trying to get help. They kept promising someone would come and fix our problem and repeatedly lied about when he would arrive. Finally a plumber showed up on the 4th day and fixed problem in 15 minutes at a cost of almost $300. Avoid roto-rooter they are deceitful and very expensive.

WHAT B.S. ARTISTS! Don't Call them EVER. I called about a running toilet and another toilet that had a small leak. T
They promised someone would come give an estimate. The guy showed up and apparently didn't know very much - he spent a lot of time in his van writing up the estimate and talking with his supervisor. In the end he gave us an estimate: READY? $600 or $1200 to replace the two toilets.
SENT HIM ON HIS WAY. Call a real local company - and don't waste your time with Roto Rooter Rip Offs.

Wow. Of all the vendors/sub contractors I have ever hired at my house in Palm Springs, this one takes the cake. I had an issue with my master bath tub faucet having a leak drip and my home inspector told me to just have a plumber come in to change the cartridge. I called Roto Rooter in Palm Springs to get an estimate. The tech came and said I have a major issue and he would have to cut a hole in the back of the adjacent wall to fix the leak. I received the estimate of $2800. I told the tech I want to get another quote to check as I felt that was way too high. The other plumber came the same day and confirmed it was just the cartridge and I hired him to fix/replace it for $225 total. I was shocked it was that big of a difference and not even the correct job repair.
I called back Roto Rooter to find out what in the world that estimate was all about and I spoke to the manager Roger. He first told me it was a wrong price quote that doing this job should have only been $1800. I said, so why was an extra $1000 on top of that and he had no answer and apologized. He then said it was misdiagnosed by the tech and they should have quoted around $550 to replace the cartridge (more than double the other plumber -Desert City Plumbers). I had a drain that needed to be snaked so I asked Roger if he would somehow make this up to me from the horrible experience with a complimentary or discounted price on snaking a drain. He said he would get back to me.
Well, he never did. I called 4 more times and left messages with the reps that answered the phone. The first 2 for Roger and the last 2 for the new district manager Dave Parra. I was trying to give them an opportunity to make up for this overpriced misdiagnosis. They never returned one call to date so I had no other choice than to report this situation here. Be careful so you don't get taken advantage of in the future. Here is a screen shot of their quote and I a hope this is not an ongoing type of scam by this company as this was egregious

This is the second time I have called Rooter Rooter for repairs. I was fortunate enough to get Raphael Cervantes both times. He did a great job, I spoke with Angel H. On the phone both people are friendly, have knowledge of their jobs .
I always feel confident the job will be done right.
Thank you for all you do!!!! You will be getting ALL of my business in the future:)
