When you start to notice water permeating through your pavers and lawn you get the dreaded feeling in the pit of your stomach that something is seriously wrong...so I called Roto Rooter and was able to get an appointment right away. At our scheduled appointment time Wesley was right on time and even got to the house early to prep. Wesley did a quick diagnostic of the problem and explained everything to me along the way. We ended up having a leak on our main water line. What we thought was a small leak ended up being a lot more serious. Wesley worked hard and was determined to fix the leak. Throughout the process he was still very positive and explained what was happening. We feel lucky that Wesley showed up and was able to help us out in a time that was quite stressful. If we need anything in the future it's nice to know we have a friendly, knowledgeable, and trustworthy person to help us out for our future needs. Thank you, Wesley!

Roto-Rooter has consistently been a disappointment, but they recently really worked me over.

They did work they DID NOT need to do, including installing a ""needed cleanout"" 4 inches above one that was already there, but just buried in a little dirt. Had they done the proper investigation, they would have seen it was there and spared me the expense, and more importantly would not have punched a hold in the side of my house that they never patched.

And after days of work (and thousands of dollars) my problem was no better off.

Upon getting a second and third opinion, I felt Roto-Rooter was trying to fleece me. It will be the last time I ever call them.

They broke a pipe while trying to snake my kitchen sink. They fixed it poorly, and left a mess when they were done. I literally still have a hole in the side of my house where a raccoon or skunk could let themselves into my house via this hole that Roto left un-patched.

Never calling them again. I believe John Stevenson Plumbing is much more trustworthy and expert.

We have had a backed up bathtub for the last 6 months and I've tried everything to get it unclogged with ZERO success. Wesley came out and explained how the piping works and how most drains become blocked. Within minutes he was able to get the blockage removed and flowing properly again. I won't be using any other service other than Wesley at Roto-Rooter El Cajon.

They do a decent job but how can you price a 3/4 inch size copper pipe the length of 3 inches for $600? What a rip off, they take advantage because they know you need it fixed ASAP

We have had good service with this company in the past...however, the last service call we had was horrible. The service tech was nice but that is the only positive thing I can say. After charging over $300 they still left the clog and said it would be an additional $600 to do hydro jetting to remove the clog. They said no one could help us on that day and they would have to come back. We decided to get a second opinion and had Bill Howe come out and for under $100 they were able to fix the clog. So disappointed with Roto Rooter.

I asked them to install a new dishwasher. I said an air gap needed to be installed, they'd have to drill a granite countertop, and could they do that? Sales guy: Sure, no problem. Installation guy: no, countertop could shatter, liability, blah, blah. So I took the afternoon off to deal with this and the new dishwasher continues to sit uninstalled in the dining room.

I just had Mr. Rooter at my home for the first time. Kevin, the technician, listened carefully to my problem and fixed the plumbing problem immediately. Since I had other companies not even bother to call back, I was especially grateful. I would not hesitate to call them again.

If you need service, make sure you ask for Wesley. He is honest and won't rip you off. He gave us great customer service. Wesley is very acknowledged at what he does. We have businesses all throughout San Diego and going to email all our stores to ask for Wesley. Also going to recommend him to all my acquaintances. Told him he should be employee of the year.
