Technition mislead my daughter into believing that they tried to snake the clog but only showed her how they used the scope to identify the clogged spot. They then said that there was no way to snake the clog and the only thing that would take care of the blockage was for them to dig outside to put a clean out in and then they would be able to hydro jet the pipe for $1,900. I could rip up and replace the whole pipe with a new pipe for less than half of that. She declined the quote and they insisted they weren't trying to take her money even tough they continued to increase the price of just snaking the drain because she took off work in order to get get the drain unclogged. She then asked them to leave and then found a real professional that was able to snake the clog that apparently couldn't be fixed by snaking it. They are extremely shady and are just trying to take advantage of people in need with trying to convince them that they need services that are not necessary at all. Never use this company!

My water heater bottomed out the Sunday before New Years Eve. They were available to schedule a replacement for the following day, called ahead the day of the appointment to offer an earlier time, showed up on time and got the work done cleanly and quickly. The technician was pleasant and courteous and we now have hot water. While I admit that Roto-Rooter tends to be pricey, they respond immediately and get the work done quickly. Several times over the years I've had them in to clear sewer lines at late hours and on weekends. It has always been worth it to me to pay the premium for not having to wait for regular business hours to get the ball rolling on essential repairs.

We called them after striking out with a few other companies. We called at 9am, when our toilets stopped working, and sewage was coming out of the shower drain. We were told that they could be there between 12-2pm. The guy showed up at 1030am. Issue was the main sewer line was backed up, by his opinion, with a root inversion. He had to use his giant snake thing and pulverize it.

He was there for about 45 min and got it cleared, no problem. Ended up costing $335, and one destroyed bush (he warned us that would happen because of the location of the bush and the location of the sewer line.

Service was great, they were great on the phone, but I feel like it could have been cheaper. At the end of the day, they got out earlier than expected and fixed it. All good in my book.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to recommend this business to anyone. Given the opportunity to make it right for $75, the owner refused. The first technician was unqualified, leaving the water turned on, resulting in flooding on the bathroom floor. After him not being able to fix it in two visits, a second technician came out, rigged the toilet with shower washers, and tried to charge us again. When he was advised that payment wouldn't be made, he got angry and slammed the door as he left. Interestingly, the second technician who stopped the leak, provided a bill that was $75 less than the first person charged. I was looking to be refunded that amount as what was billed was a ripoff considering their lack of technical skill and the loss of valuable time. I feel that a senior citizen was taken advantage of and now has no recourse and a toilet that still may leak at any moment.

I am Michelle's friend (I don't have a Yelp acct).
I called Roto-Rooter to clear my plumbing line due to a backup. They came out & said they cleared my main line up to 20ft. They recommended I also pay to have a camera appt to look at the main line. I did so. Expectedly, there was a charge for both services When the camera guy came he could only run his camera 9ft. They wanted to charge me $58.00 for every 15 minutes it took to clear the mainline to 20ft. I called their office & asked for a supervisor. I spoke with Darren. He went on to explain why they were charging me. I explained that the first service guy's receipt said, he used a 4"" blade & cleared 20 ft. Two days later the camera lense should be able to enter to 20 ft. I should not have to pay again for work that they said was done the day before. The supervisor/foreman debated back & forth with me to the point of my frustration. Eventually, he said he was not going to charge me. I asked for his bosses name. At first he hesitated to give it, then he gave it. Although the technician was great, the end result is: I have an $8K plumbing job that I will be contracting out to another plumbing company. I will never to business with Roto-Rooter, because of its poor customer service.

We've used Roto-Rooter's services three times now. Once to replace a faucet in our bathroom, once to replace the main water line coming in from the city's 'S meter into the house, and once to replace a leaking faucet and shutoff valve in our kitchen. The water pipe replacement went fine. The faucet replacements not so much. We got the same plumber/tech on both the faucet replacements. On the bathroom faucet replacement he got the handle on backwards and the faucet was off center, so my wife rushed out to get him to come back in to fix the issue. He did and we were fine with it. Fast forward a few years later and we get the same Tech in to do the hands free faucet swap out and valve replacement. He spent about 20 to 30 minutes reading the installation manual and then installed the fixture. He finished the job but couldn't get the sensor to work on the faucet. It did work fine in manual mode. Then asked me which direction the plastic control screw should be turned on the controller that controls water flow to the faucet when the sensor was engaged. The manual said turn the control screw a full turn to the right. He did that and tested the faucet. You could hear the controller click when you waved your hand over the sensor, but no water came out of the faucet. He spent another 20 to 30 minutes working on the controller to get the faucet to work and couldn't get it going. It was late, so we had him stop working on the faucet and operated it in manual mode. He indicated on the receipt that the controller;s sensor was bad out of the box. I went to the Koehler sit to look at their troubleshooting guide, checked all of the wiring and water line connections and they were all correct. I got to thinking about it and thought that the controller might have been set for hands free operation right out of the factory. I went under the sink, took a penny and turned the plastic screw a full turn to the right. Tested the hands free operation of the faucet and it worked just fine in hands free mode. I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

Just spoke with a representative and she had the worst customer service. Sounded like I was bothering her. When I asked how she was doing I got awkward silence followed by a how can I help you. Told her the problem, she said someone will get back to me tomorrow. I asked what time tomorrow should I expect the call, her exact words were; ""I dont know, sometime tomorrow morning"".

Lets just say I hope they never call.

We called RotoRooter for a leak in the kitchen and a broken disposal. Victor came out, figured out the problem, and gave us an estimate. We went out and bought the new parts, new faucet etc. Victor returned and did a beautiful job! In a timely fashion! Second time Victor has been out to help. Always a great experience.

We called and Marvin came out. He came and was unable to repair the whole problem. He had us order the parts and then came back! When he did, he was very professional. He fixed the problem and didn't charge us another fee. He just charged for the additional labor. I would highly recommend him for any job and will request this company if/when we ever have a problem.

I am a first time home buyer, female early 30's and single. My washing machine wasn't draining, and my home has a sump pump.... I have never lived in a home with a sump pump. So knowing that the two were connected, I started with the plumbing. I called roto rooter at 245ish, and someone was here at 430. It turns out I did need a new sump pump. Kieth went out to a hardware store to get the parts to get it done that day. ( he gave me that option). He had it installed by 630. Not only did they provide a quick service, he also gave me a ""sump pump 101"" before he left. I now understand a lot more about the way my home works. I will definitely use them again. Thanks guys!
