Our new home's area drain was clogged due to the season's first rain storm and we had standing water in our driveway. I called RR and they immediately put us on their day's calendar. Rob arrived that afternoon, snaked our drainage system and made sure future rain storms would flow smoothly. Highly rec!!

5-Stars! As hard as it is to find a good mechanic for your car, it is even harder to find a good plumber. Richard from Roto-Rooter Concord is the one!
I had a pressure pump leak over a weekend and after paying another 'East Bay' company for a visit and assessment - they never returned my calls back leaving me 'high and dry' (or in this case very much wet).
Thanks to Yelp, I found Roto-Rooter of Concord and got a visit from Richard. He was very professional, punctual and hard-working. He worked tirelessly to try to find out the source of the problem with the pump. Unfortunately, after partially disassembling the unit it seemed as we needed a new pump. But what about the leak? Well thanks to Richard experience, he was able to bypass the faulty pump by devising a set of shutout valves. His craftsmanship was really amazing and you could see he really takes pride in his line of work. He always had a professional and calm attitude and was really patient to explain what he was doing. Totally amazing service. All of my yard drains were backed up. Yard was flooding. Very complex system and we had no idea how the drains went from the yard to the street.

Day one they spent 3+ hours working on the problem. Worked into the dark and cold wind. Snaking and working stuff out. On day 2 they brought out a camera and extra snakes. In the end they gave me 6 hours work for the cost of only 3.

I will never use any other plumber. Now a customer for life.

My absolute LAST RESORT for plumbing needs! Over-priced and they milk their time on the jobs. Usually take forever to get out to the job and have been later than their scheduled ""time-frame"" many times. I manage a building that has many plumbing problems and after years of using them, I have learned my lesson and started using a local small-scale plumber who is amazing. Now we only use Roto-Rooter as a last resort. Also, as a warning: DO NOT have them do camera work, they charge a ton of money and then you do NOT give you a copy of the DVD/CD so that you can take it to other plumbers for estimates. Go through a leak detection company who also does camera work and they come out and provide you with the DVD/CD so you can take it to ANY plumber to get pricing comparisons for the work you need! Roto-Rooter is a rip off.

Well after the 3rd time of both bathrooms flooding, our last experience with the technician Richard was seriously the most informative, thoughtful, and genuine care we have received yet from Root-Rooter to resolve this reoccurring issue. The previous times we were satisfied and the problem was resolved for the time being, but comparatively to the other technicians Richard went above and beyond to really find the root of the problem.

I have used these guys before and they show up and do a good job on a blocked sewer drain. They suggested a camera inspection for $95 to be sure there isn't any structural concerns the drain. So I scheduled it. Took time away from work. They did not show up in their 2 hour window, no one called. Called to investigate. No apology, they just wanted to reschedule and no discount. Is it just me or are businesses showing a greater lack of respect and courtesy for peoples' time these days. Canceled second appt., going with someone else. At least I showed them more courtesy by telling them by canceling the second appt., saving them their time and money!

When it comes to home repairs, when it rains, it sometimes pours. Gayle's Son had been here earlier last Saturday to help with some relatively minor plumbing and other fix-it jobs. Then the hard rain came, that overwhelmed the municipal sewer system and clogged the pipe with leaves and swollen tree roots. Our first clue that we had a sewer back up issue was during a laundry load when the toilet started bubbling and water came up through the tub. At least there was no overflow, brown accents, or smell.

After asking around and performing a few Internet searches, it was clear that we needed Roto-Rooter. The person on the other end of the phone was friendly and helpful, a timely appointment was made, and we were clean as a whistle in no time.

I am writing my review based on the service and the quality of work that I received. I can not speak to price because I have not done any comparisons. They were, however, the only plumbers to get back to me within 24 hours.

This is no stars. Provided unnecessary service Offered to provide additional unnecessary service by calling out a second technician. For what? Nothing of consequence. Charged an excessive amount for a minor issue. I could have fixed the problem in 5 minutes, had I been there. I felt they took advantage of my 94 year old mother and her caregiver and I would not recommend this service provider to anyone. We will not use them again.
