Jeff, tech #6609, showed up on time and with all the tools needed to do the job. Our sewer line had a intermittent clog and he was able to find the issue and clear the problem. He is definitely on my ""To Call"" list for plumbing issues.

Our toilet was leaking at the base (where the toilet and the floor meet) and the first plumber I called, (not roto-rooter) diagnosed the problem (blockage in pipe that leads to the sewer) but that plumber did not have a machine/tools large enough to unclog the blockage. That plumber referred us to Roto-Rooter. I called and got a same day appointment. Jeff (tech 6609) came out and had all the right tools to fix the problem. He had great customer service and explained what the problem was and what he did to fix the problem. Biggest lesson learned, yes plumbers can be pricy but go with a company that can get the job done the first time around. It will save you $ in the long run.

I called Roto Rooter because I had a bathtub that would drain very slowly for a few weeks. This service was clearly not an emergency and told the people on the phone my issue in detail. I didn't receive a price estimate over the phone but didn't think much of it at the time. Roto HERO a similar company is offering $77 to unclog a drain and is not having their customers pay for 6 months to help with the COVID crisis. Roto Rooter showed up the first day without a drain snake which seemed like the one tool you'd bring to a clogged drain. The installer said they would send someone out there next day. As an essential business, I was working all day the next day but they said 10am was the only available time, so I made sure my GF could be there for the next person. He showed up with a drain snake told my gf the price, who had no idea what it was supposed to be and spent 15 minutes snaking the drain and left us with a bill of $365.

That's $1,760/hr to snake a drain. When I found out the cost, I confronted the installer before he left. Some excuse about how he told my gf the price like that was a reason for the cost. I called roto rooter and they said the job wasn't in the system and that they would call me back when it was. It's a week later and still nothing.

Some companies step up during a crisis while some take advantage of the situation. I think it is clear which route Roto Rooter has taken.

I noticed wednesday that I had a leak going on somewhere in my bedroom bathroom. I called my home warranty first to see if they could send help. I was told a tech would call me back in 1-2 days. By thursday I had a puddle in my room and no one was responding to my calls. After calling a number of plumbers, all said something similar to the fact that it sounded like I had a leak in the slab and a someone needed to be sent out to detect the leak. Roto Rooter concord was the first one to give me an appointment for the next day soon after I had called. Friday came along and the Jeff (#6609) comes in and literally saves the day. He was courteous, knowledgable and on time. He actually was at my house the good portion of the day looking for this crazy leak that ended up not only being extremely small but also way up in the wall. He was dedicated and determine to find it and I couldn't appreciate the service more. Once the leak was located Jeff called Al (#6153), another equally professional RR tech, who was able to get the parts needed and fix my tiny leak that was causing major problems. They were both very professional and kind. They fixed not only the leak but also patched up the area of wall (that I will need to fix next) so there wouldn't be a gaping hole in my room, which I also very much appreciated. As a new homeowner I really wasn't anticipating any plumbing/leaking issues that needed to be done for a while but Jeff and Al really put me at ease. I will definitely be using RR for future plumbing needs. Their dedicated techs make all the difference!

Called at 9:30, they scheduled to arrive at 3, but actually were able to come two hours earlier. Jeff (tech #6609) did an excellent job: efficiently assessed the issue, provided a reasonable estimate, and had the problem cleared promptly. Efficient, clear communications, and a reasonable cost to get water flowing properly - definitely recommend the company and Jeff.

I had a really great experience with Jeff (#6609).
I had to call for a last minute complicated plumbing situation where dirty water was suddenly coming from my washing machine when I turned on the garbage disposal that had me completely confused. Overall I'm very pleased with Roto Rooter. They gave me a same day appointment. I found Jeff to be very professional, detail oriented, and most importantly he fixed it! He also answered all of my questions to help me understand why this happened and set me up with a good product to help prevent it in the future. Thanks Jeff!

I made it clear during the initial appointment by phone that the job would require crawlspace work.

I *wasn't* told that this would mean an extra person would be dispatched, at an extra cost of $275 on top of the $310 service call.

I found that out when the tech showed up (nearly 3 hours late, by the way). He couldn't start the work without another guy being there. I mentioned that was odd, because I mentioned it when I booked the appointment. He shrugged.

Then we waited 45 minutes for the other guy to show up.

Then they charged me $585 for one hour of work.

I called the office asked the bill be adjusted to remove the $275 to reflect the fact I was misled during the initial call.

Roto Rooter refused.

I'm never using this company again, and making sure everyone I know doesn't, too.
