I live in Santa Cruz and my fathers toilet had backed up and my dad needs help with these things. I called around to many of the better rated plumbing shops and everyone was busy through midweek and when the toilets backed up you don't want to wait till midweek. Roto-Rooter said they could come out between two and 4 o'clock and that was good enough. At 11:30 Joshua from Roto-Rooter calls me and he's already at my dads house and believes he knows what the problem is. I give the go-ahead on the work and he was able to unclog the toilet with no fuss. Cost was $148.

Drain clogged . I had a technician come and give a ""free estimate"" set an appt. for the next day with a fee of 258.00. Jose arrived the next day and after 40 to 30 minutes I was informed good and bad news, bad news he could not unblock my sewer, good news he knew where it was because he put a camera in and found the spot. Would he tell me where? Yes, good news for another $250.00. To dig up and put in a new section cost 1200.00 to 1800.00. Hey and I was lucky he did not break his equipment trying or I would have had to pay for that also. Then I was informed the contract I singed did state that. Buyer beware read the contract! Get a bad technician you will buying his equipment also. Lucky me for the moment everything is flowing, We had a backup after many people used the toilet, it is running okay I am just trying to prevent future problems..
I called and the manager was very arrogant , This is not a repeat customer biz, I have no trust in them going forward and I am out 258.00. Run and call a company that is local and has a long term good repetition,

Me and 5 teenagers in a tiny house with one bathroom. Raquel assures me that I will have a technician at our house five hours later between 3:30 and 5:30 to take care of a a backuped toilet the just won't go away. She calls me at 4:54 and because I'm dialing out, the call goes to voicemail. I'm told that a technician is waiting and if I call back within 5 minutes, he/she will come otw-reschedule. I call back 4 minutes later and the technician has already been relieved and I'm told that if I require a technician, I will be billed at after hour rates. Never again will I call Roto Rooter.

I called RotoRooter after another plumbing company came out 3 days prior to clear a blocked drain line and after 3 days, the problem came back. Turns out the other company used a 2 inch auger down a 4 inch drain line, so all of the roots were not cleared properly. RotoRooter ran a 4 inch auger down the drain with several passes and got as much of the roots as possible. I know this is only a temporary fix, and I will eventually have to permanently take care of the breaks in the line, but for now I am taken care of and happy. I would use them again.

Albert did hydrojet & camera for me, then the next month did trenchless sewer replacement of about 18 feet of 70 year old clay pipe under sidewalk & street. He knows his work thoroughly, taught me, treated his helpers very well, organized, took care of everything start to finish, didn't try to oversell. He gave me a lot of confidence that this big job was in the right hands. Raquel & Sonia in the office very organized & friendly with communicating. Ask for Albert!

Called Rotorooter to come out and snake a drain the day before Thanksgiving. They wanted $223 to snake 1 drain. About as basic a job as can be requested. I called another plumber who came out and did it for $100 and did an excellent job. Took him 10 minutes.

They came out quickly and cleared the blockage in good time. The price quoted on the phone was a minimum of $143.00 for the service call, which jumped to over $270 when all was said and done.
Before calling them you might want to get quotes from other services in your area. If this is what a single drain costs, I would shudder over what a serious problem would run.

Just the facts!
I'm a out of town rental property owner. Needing a main
sewer drain cleaned-out.
I was in town I called R/R 425-7669. There technician
Travis came out with in the hour.
I was working in the rental and did not watch any of his
efforts.
within 30 minuets or less, he said he was done and the line
was clear, saying he only ran into some globs of toilet
paper.
I asked any roots he said ""NO"". He never ran water through
the line that I could see.
Paid $240.00 via cc card and was given a 30 day
guarantee.
I flushed a toilet and ran a sink, the drain seemed to be
running.
My tenant called two or three days later saying the sewer
was backing up in to the house the same as it was before.
My tenant called R/R 425-7669 that weekend there
technician Steve came out charging my tenant $40.00 for
the emergency weekend service.
I have not been able to read Steve's report, it's in the mail!
how ever my tenant told me he did do something I do not
know what. However he had a sewer camera showing my
tenant where roots have intruded in to a three foot section
of the original clay pipe that remained in the main line.
Again it seemed things were working
NOTE I have never had a sewer drain not be able to be
cleaned out even though the problem ie. Roots would come
back in months later.
Over the phone I talked to Albert the manager I told him all
the information I knew about work done by me and the
County when they replaced the street main, years earlier.
He sad there were roots coming from the top old the clay
pipe and it the clay pipe needed to be replaced giving me a
price of $1089.00.

I asked and Albert the manager stated that Steve ran the
line again and was working. when Steve left that day.
A fue days later talking to RR again asking about the
copies of Travis and Steve reports and the bid for the
repairs were in the mail.
Gess what? Once more my tenant called saying the sewer
was backing up in to the house the same as it was before.
Now it (the sewer) was also coming out the clean out
where RR was trying to clean the sewer line.
Once shame on me twice shame on you (RR)!
I Googled Sewer line cleaning found a revue of RR in one
of the reviews the customer mention Apollo Drain &
Rooter Service in Aptos, they used in the past and should
of used.
Called Apollo Drain & Rooter Service in Aptos (831) 438-
9001 from my home, Phil called me back very soon. I told
him of my situation. I asked his rated they were about only
2/3 that of RR.
I authorized him (Apollo Drain) to go out and run the main
line again even though RR said they had done it twice.
Phil (Apollo Drain) call me after his work, he more or less
stating that he ran the line removing two substanchel
clumps of roots. He also ran the line from the other house
that Y's in to the main line, that he just got the roots out
of.
My final coast was $165.00 the work.

I finally got RR revised bid for the replacement of 3 feet of
clay pipe via e-mail for $3,189.00 their bid stated it the
repairs could go higher depending what they found when
they started the work!

I am very happy about the service I received from Roto Rooter this last weekend, they are reasonably priced and fast to respond.

Last summer, Roto-Rooter came to the rescue on a weekend for a clog. My landlord was out of town, so I called Roto-Rooter and they came quickly and fixed the problem. So this weekend, when I had an issue, I called them immediately.

I had a clog that of course happened on Father's day Sunday. As a new homeowner the black gunk that was gurgling up from my drain was terrifying. Within 30 mins of my call, Roto-Rooter came to the rescue. Steve was very professional, answered all my questions, explained all the issues, and even took a look at other things like the pipes outside. If I ever need another plumber or work done on plumbing I'd definitely call them again.

BEST ALL AROUND PLUMING SERVICE. we have used them for emergency drain cleaning, leaks, breaks, and all general repairs. We own and manage several properties, and we use them frequently. There is always someone available to answer the phone, REALLY! Rachel is the owner, and she answers the phone 24 hours. She is pleasant and helpful. These are very professional plumbers, so they are not the cheapest guys in town, but they do great work, and have saved us thousands of dollars by showing us cost cutting possibilities. We have used several other plumbers over the past 30 years, and have never had better quality and service. I highly recommend them if you want fast service, and want the work done right.
