Our tech, Austin was excellent. Great customer service and handled our plumbing problem quickly, obviously has a lot of experience with a wide variety of plumbing issues. As far as value goes, the service cost was definitely on the high side, but it was a weekend and we were desperate for a quick fix to our sewer backup problem. Would use them again.

We had a clogged kitchen drain and I scheduled Roto Rooter to come out. I wasn't here when they came but my husband was and he was very upset because they were only here for 40 min but charged $510 which is double what most plumbers charge. My husband was shocked and the guy offered him a$50 discount. Still $460 and the average plumbing price for a clogged kitchen sink is $250.

I feel ripped off!
Woke up Sunday morning with no running hot water. Called them and was told the earliest someone can come by is 4 PM - 8 PM. All I needed to replace was a new water heater and some old pipes. When Ilia came by, he estimated the cost to be $3749! The last time I had a water heater replaced it only costed $1200, and that's with labor. When I asked, he said that it was because of the cost of supplies. Went ahead and did the replacement, found a coupon online for $100 off for water heater replacement. Total came out to $3649. When I later checked online to see how much the water heater actually costed, it was only $700...and we were charged $1650 for parts and the labor was a whopping $1935! He literally came for 45 minutes to take out the old water heater, returned back from the store two hours later with the new water heater and installed it. That's pretty damn steep for a water heater replacement. Also overheard him saying, ""I hope Home Depot didn't sell me a shitty water heater."" Sounds so promising. It would've been cheaper to buy it at Home Depot and have someone come and install it.

I'll never call Roto-Rooter again! They charged $479. to snake a line -- twice what any other plumber I've ever used has charged for the very same thing! But I was in a hurry to get the job done, which was supposed to be to unclog toilets, tub AND washer, which was also backing up.
The washer backed up again the very first time I used it after the plumber left. Roto-Rooter sent him back, and he wanted ANOTHER $479., even though he'd claimed to have solved the washer problem as part of the first $479. charge!
What a rip-off. Other plumbers charge half that much, get the whole job done, AND guarantee the work for a month. Roto-Rooter offers no guarantee at all, not even for a day.
Don't call these guys! Save yourself hundreds of dollars--any other plumber will do the whole job done for half the money.

Miguel is abouslty awful. I would never use this company. So unprofessional. I use to love the employees but I will no longer use this company. Such arrogance and ignorance at the same time.

Had a plumbing emergency on the weekend. Contacted Roto-Rooter (for the first time) as they advertised 24/7 response. The call center was very polite and efficient. A technician was dispatched and arrived within approximately 45 minutes of my call. The young man was very polite. At this point this would have been a 5 star review. However, the cost to snake the drain, something I would normally pay no more than $150, was a staggering $475! I was in a bind with company coming for dinner and had to pay it. The snake was in the clean-out for approximately 2 minutes. It appeared to be draining fine at that point.

Three days later, the drains were backing up again. He had obviously not completely cleared the line. I called Roto-Rooter back to see if they warrantied their work. The call center told me they would have the technician call me. Two days later and I have not received a call back. I had to call another plumber to completely clear the drain...for $150.

Had they charged a reasonable fee, stood by their work and called me back, I would have gladly recommended them.

Roto-rooter can't follow driving laws (as you can see in the picture). Would you trust them with your plumbing issues?
I definitely wouldn't.
The rule: first you learn to drive, then you can learn how to do plumbing

Received a call from tenants with toilet water issue. Roto rooter called me to verify was ok to go out and check out. Said would call after assessment and give me price and get my ok to proceed, They did not. $409 dollars later a new fill valve installed nothing else. Must be some recourse. Probably a $15 part. Nothing on bill except says labor.

I would never use this come ever again. I asked them to come out to look at my clients hot water heater. They said they fixed it by cleaning the ignition prongs and connectors. Then he tried to sell me coupler/ignition switch, which was a special order item. Also BS. All he did was hit the reset button per my plumber, after he just look at it. . That was a waste of $407. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY F0R ANYTHING WAIT !!!!!!!!
